"Savi... Savi... Savi... Jabse woh ladki tumhare zindagi mein aayi hai, meri parivaar toot rahi hai."

"Tum hamare beech mat bolo Sai. Aur tum mere pati se door raho."
"Mujhe tumhari ghalat femi door karne mein majboor mat karo."
Sai couldn't believe the audacity of Patralekha, the woman who had literally gotten on her knees and begged her to treat her son, as she barged into her home, insulting her and cursing her daughter.
No... this had gone too far. And what was worse, was that she let it. And now, it was time for her put things right... for herself and her daughter. Her daughter and her peace above everything else.
Sai knew what she had to do.

Sai reached the gates of Chavan Nivas, a determined expression on her face. No one... absolutely no one was going to stop her from putting those horrible people their places.
"Patralekha!" the entire hall resonated with the sound of her voice. She saw Ashwini, Ninad, and Mohit hurriedly make their way to the hall, their faces coated with worry. Bhavani too came out of her room, ready to rend her with insults. Omi and Sonali stood behind Bhavani, waiting to back her up and join the fun, while Karishma from the kitchen, waiting to be entertained.
"Sai... Tum aise chilla kyun rahi ho?" she heard Virat's voice from behind her, a hint of impatience in his tone.
"Mujhe Mrs. Patralekha Chavan se baat karni hai." Sai didn't spare a glance at him, while she waited for the offender to make an entrance.
She saw Patralekha walking down the stairs, surprise flitting across her face at the sight of Sai.
" Sai, tum? Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?" asked Patralekha sharply, knowing that Virat will back her up if Sai berates her.
"Main tumse baat karne aayi hoon Patralekha. Kal jab tum gusse mein mere ghar aaye the, itna bada tamasha khada kiya, not bothering that my daughter is sick, aur jaldi mein chale gaye. So, main theek se baat nahi kar paayi main tumse. Issi liye ab baat karne aayi hoon." said Sai, her every word creating panic in Patralekha's heart.
"Sai... Patralekha ne kal jo kiya, woh galat tha aur maine usko suna diya. Ab tumhe kuch bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai. So, please leave it." Virat butted in, trying to turn Sai's attention away from Patralekha.
"Aapki vishesh tippani kisine maanga nahi Mr. Virat Chavan. Please speak only when you're spoken to." Sai didn't even bother looking at him as she took a step closer to Patralekha.
"Aur tum, Patralekha... bohot badi galati ki hai tumne. Mere hi ghar mein ghus kar, meri bacchi ko khos diya tumne. Big mistake." said Sai, walking to the sofa and making herself comfortable.
"Aye Jungli Mulgi, tu idhar Patralekha ko damki dene aayi hai? Aur tumhe kisne ijazat di, yahan aise baitne ki? Utho!" said Bhavani, holding Sai by her arm to pull her up. Sai easily removed her grip, smiling sweetly at everyone.
"Arre Kaku, mere husband ke ghar, yani mere ghar mein baithne ke liye, mujhe ijazat ki zaroorat nahi hai." Sai winked at Virat, momentarily rendering him speechless.
"Tumhare husband? What do you mean? Sai, tum ab hadd paar kar rahe ho. Virat tumhara ex-husband hai. Aur tum dono ke beech co-parents banne ke alava koi rishta nahi hai." yelled Pakhi, clenching her fists in anger. "Virat, tum Sai ko kuch bolte kyun nahi ho?"
"Ab woh kya bolenge? Bolungi main. Aap sab apne khaan khol kar suno. Virat aur meri shaadi tab hi dissolve hoti, if I were really dead. Lekin main toh zinda hoon! Aur hum dono ka divorce bhi nahi hua hai! So, in the eyes of law, hum abhi bhi pati-patni hai." said Sai, letting the information sink in as she watched Patralekha's horrified face.
"Par... par..." Patralekha had completely lost her ability to even think. After all these years, she finally thought that Virat was hers, but Sai had to ruin it for her.
"Par kya? Ab tumhari bolti band Patralekha? Kal mere pati, mere pati karke chilla rahi thi tum mere ghar mein? Ab kya hua? Ab tum meri baat acche se sunlo. Virat ki legal wife main hoon. Which makes you an illegal wife. But, I don't think tumhe uss baat se problem hogi na? Because this is not the first illegal thing you have done!"
"Yeh kya bakwaas kar rahi ho tum Sai? Agar tumne apna bakwas band nahi kiya toh..." began Patralekha.
"Toh kya? Kya karoge tum? Phir se mujhe maarne ki koshish karoge? I mean, I won't be surprised. Tum already ek baar koshish toh kar chuke ho, mujhe maarne ki." said Sai, scrutinizing the fearful expression of everyone around her.
"Sai... ab yeh saari baatein kyun utha rahe ho? Usko apni galati ka ehsaas ho chuka hai. Please meri parivaar ki shanti mat bigado." said Virat, laying a protective hand on Patralekha.
"Toh aap aur aapke parivaar ko bhi meri parivaar se door rehna chahiye Virat. Lekin nahi... Aap log mujhe aur meri beti ko akele nahi chodte ho. Aur Patralekha, kal tumne jo tamasha mere ghar pe kiya hai na, uss ke liye main tumhe abhi bhi jail bijwa sakti hoon, as an act of Criminal Intimidation." said Sai, delivering her blows without flinching.
"Sai... yeh kya bol rahi ho tum? Tum isko aise hi jail bhejne ki baat bhi nahi kar sakte ho. Woh bhi ek Deputy Commissioner ke saamne. Jhoote charges pe kisiko jail bhejne ki baat pe main tumhe abhi arrest kar sakta hoon!" thundered Virat.
"Mujhpe haat laga ke dekho toh sahi, Arrest karke dikhao! Ab main woh Sai nahi hoon, jo aapke har damki se dare. Aur yeh jhoote charges nahi hai. Patralekha ne pehle bhi mujhpe jaan leva hamla kiya hai. And I don't feel safe around her. Aur woh meri beti ke liye bhi khatra ho sakti hai. Aur agar main yeh sab jaake Commissioner sir ko bataungi aur FIR file karungi, woh turant Patralekha ko arrest kar sakte hai." said Sai, now focusing her attention on Virat, looking at him with disgust.
"Aur agar main chahun, toh main aapko jail bijwa sakti hoon Virat, on the charges of Bigamy and being an accomplice to crime. Jaanna chahte ho, woh crimes kya kya hai?
1. Kidnapping and drugging a woman to the point of mental illness.
2. Not arresting your family members who have committed forgery, assault, and murder attempts.
3. Sheltering a Naxalite
4. Misusing your powers to free a criminal who attempted to murder your then wife, and becoming a surrogate through deception and assault.
5. Arresting me on false charges.
Aise bohot saare incidents hai, which makes you as much as criminal as Patralekha, Virat." said Sai, as she walked up to him, her eyes blazing with fury.
Virat and Patralekha never thought that Sai would do this. Not even in their wildest dreams did they imagine that Sai would fight back, and in this way too. The rest of the Chavan Family looked dumb-founded and scared at Sai's words, not knowing how to handle this situation.
"Tum kya chahte ho Sai? Why are you doing this? Tum kya se kya ban gayi ho?" asked Ashwini, tears streaming down her face.
"Main Virat Chavan ke patni se wapas apni Aaba ki beti ban gayi hoon Mrs. Ashwini Chavan. Ek imandaar police officer ki beti, jo hamesha sahi ke saath aur galat ki khilaaf rehti hai. Aur ab, main khud ek maa hoon. Aur ek maa, apni beti ke liye kuch kar sakti hai. Kuch bhi. Lesson number 1 Patralekha, don't ever cross a mother... ever." said Sai.
"Ab hume kya karna hai Sai. Tumhe jitna ilzaam lagana, tum laga chuke ho. Ab chahti ho tum." asked Virat, looking tired and defeated.
A laugh erupted from Sai as Virat spoke. "Awww... how sad? Kabhi socha nahi na, ki main iss tarah wapas ladungi? Aur ab situation aapke khilaaf hai, toh victim banne ki koshish kar rahe ho? Acche se seekha hai apne illegal biwi se." said Sai, giving a final slap on Virat's face with her words.
"Ab suno. Tum log, mujhse aur mere parivaar se door raho. Mujhe meri beti ki solo custody chahiye. Aur agar aapko usse milna hai, toh meri ijaazat ke saath, aur woh bhi mere presence mein. And if you don't adhere to that, ek restraining order file kardungi, between you and my family. Aur solo custody ke saath saath, mujhe divorce bhi chahiye. And if any one of you attempt to come close to my family again, main aap sab ko barbaad kar dungi." Sai delivered her final blow, making sure that every single word she said sunk in.
Virat looked broken at the thought of being separated from his daughter. And Sai... the woman her loved, now hated him. His knees gave away and he fell to the floor, tears pouring down his cheeks.
But Sai didn't care. There was a point of time she did care. There was a point of time when she would have run to him and wiped his tears with her own dupatta. But not anymore.
She was done bleeding.
She was done being walked over.
She was done with people ruining her life.
She walked out, her head held high, as a new life awaited her. Away from this toxicity. Away from all the misery.
