I can understand the confusion... as I had shared this interpretation with only few people.

P has multiple versions... only the P who operates as Vinus mother is good/positive ... rest all are problematic.

So she is not positive totally but understandable and sensible when she is Vinu ki Mumma... only in that version.

See what that she did as mother - bringing back Sai was because she knew Sai had moved on n has child from another man.

She would not have gotten single Sai anywhere close to her husband n son. Her driving factor was that n she knows Sai would not go after married man. So she was secure. Now her doubts r from Virat side not Sai, that he may flip.
She was never mother either- it was all to be in good books of Virat.
For story to make any sense she has to be negative.
