Also is filing a PIL even if it doesn’t go anywhere, can anyone do it? Is it time consuming? Is there a better way to go about it, they should face the axe if not axe they should atleast be in their toes

Here is what I m planning to submitting as attachment with my complaint. I need episode numbers for thise incidents, if someone can help. I gave up on my HS subscription during Shruti track whitewash.

The show has time n again trivialized issues of women and glorified abusers by victim shaming. Plus they have shown IPS officer in a bad light. It is understood that they need dramatic situations but this probably only show where criminals and abusers are never punished, in fact glorified and shown and as victim. Show is extremely triggering for women facing abuse, domestic violence, incest and empowering many abusers in name of family and love.

Below list of few major crimes/abuse they whitewashed on show. Showed an IPS officer did or allowed and got no repercussion or legal consequences.

1. Family members involved in separating daughter from her husband and abandoning her new born child. They also gave her medicine and caused mental illness, locked her in room to keep her away from her husband - on finding truth, IPS took no actions. Promoting honor killing type crimes, that family can ill treat daughter if they disapprove of groom and face no legal consequences.
2. He verbally abused his wife who denied his romantic feelings and at one instance even locked her in room calling it disciplinary action as she wanted to attend college and not Pooja at home.
3. To Safeguarded a Naxal woman (ready to take charge of misdion for killing home minister) he claimed to be her husband n lived with her giving his name to her son despite being married. This was shown as heroic act promoting illicit relationships and emotional infidelity. Track concluded that his act was heroic and noble and his wife who left him was wrong to not trust him and deserved verbal and physical abuse, denied food by his family and him. The track ended hailing him as BEST OFFICER - out right disrespect of law enforcement officers.
4. IPS officer quietly watch when his family abuse wife even when they threatened to BURN HIS WIFE IN HOLIKA
5. When this officer’s bhabhi/ ex lover slapped his pregnant wife (4 times) he not only stood quiet but went on to sympathize with abuser saying he understands. This led to stress induced miscarriage and he still sympathize with abuser.
6. He allowed his bhabhi/ex lover to become surrogate mother despite strong objection of his wife, the biological mother. He even allowed her to fake identity of chosen surrogate.
7. His bhabhi planted goons n attacked his wife n left her with head injury. When his wife asked him to investigate who send goons to attack her he asked her to forget it, it was not major attack and she was making big issue out of speculation. What officer asks citizen to forget attacks by goons?? And this guy is still hailed as BEST OFFICER AND HUSBAND.
8. Despite knowing illicit intention of his sister in law and his friend’s wife who wanted to have affair with him- he safeguarded their honor and blamed wife.
9. It is established fact that bhabhi is harboring illicit feeling for devar and most family knows it, still no action taken and till date she is regarded as mature adarsh bahu on show. Even actors of show posts on Social Media implying the same. It is such disgrace on Indian value. And this show is on international platforms like Hulu, giving disgusting image of Indian culture.
10. Channel recently claimed the Pakhi is antagonist, however till date show opens with her on montage as if she is some dukhiyari. A woman who is lusting for devar and abusing his wife to no end is portrayed as face of the show! No other show glorifies negative characters like this.

Despite all this he is hailed as honest jabaz officer. Channel says he did this as he is emotionally vulnerable, and when it is family we act differently. But in reality they are promoting that no legal action should be taken if crimes and abuse are done by family.

Many woman face domestic violence by in laws and to air such content on national tv is triggering for victims and empowering many abusers.

Yes there are bad officers and you show that in story but DONT GLORIFY THEM AS HERO? I understand they show this for drama, BUT WHY HE AND FAMILY DOESN’T FACE CONSEQUENCES? WHY THEY ARE HAILED AS GOOD HEARTED PEOPLE? CHANNEL IS PROMOTING - IT IS OK TO ABUSE DAUGHTER IN LAW as long as she is ok with it AND DO CRIME FOR FAMILY WITHOUT ANY LEGAL CONSEQUENCES.

Viewers waited long enough for sensible content but they are only showing how to whitewash criminal illegal and abusive acts.

Problem is theres a word limit to the complaint. You can only submit a complaint against one episode. So what you can do is pick the complaint about current track with an episode number of something within past 2 weeks and then in the appeal you can write the rest. You can also send an open letter to star.

And maybe siya can share screen shot of your post on SM. 😍 Can get everyone to repost this very valid rant.

I am gonna copy paste this as an open letter. Letting you know! 😅

This will go as an word document attachment in my complaint for yesterday’s episode. And if I can just add episode numbers for those, it will make it more solid. They may or may not read attachment but I really want to submit.

Coz since Shruti track their trick is reply with we had this dialogue and that but in large scheme they only normalize abuse.
Basically I want to convey to IBF that they r fooling audience and IBF but the show has been problematic since long time.

I am also going to add CD accepting he is discarding abuse in it. I have a SS of his insta response.And yes please share use it by all means. Even if you want to use it as attachment in your complaint - go for it.

They, especially channel, think people r foolish to not know what they r doing. Another starplus shame trend is needed

It’ll help in the long run..!! Channels will think before telecasting shit like this!!

I may or may not be able to make a change. But that is secondary. For my own mental peace and the satisfaction that I raised my voice and did my bit, I will pursue this course further.

Also, we don't know what they mean exactly by "No violation of BCCC code". This could easily be a word play of twisting the meaning or implying to "creative liberty and piece of fiction" as a blanket excuse to cover for any dubious crap they show.

@bold~~ exactly that’s just an excuse. They simply sent out a copy-paste email stating Patru will get her dues in the coming weeks, so it’s implied that she did something illegal and will be punished in the future episodes (no law is broken as we’re still showing how no one can get away from the law).!!!

coming to Virat’s character and what he has done since inception is irredeemable as a police officer from ousting to refusing to give food to locking in the bedroom .. to sheltering a naxal to openly manhandling his wife.. “the email stated that in a weak moment he couldn’t say no to Patru” ~~ simple utter rubbish~~

IPS officers are not normal civilians and they should know how to control their emotions in grave situations.

Just stress the point that “we want this surrogacy terminated, or else we’ll forced to take a legal action as a concerned audience”
