If only Virat had started calling Pakhi vahini if not one-to-one (since they are ‘friends’) then at least in general reference with other people. It wld surely have kept Pakhi in check, snd helped her to accept the reality, but also helped him view/reframe their relationship in this new light, plus given his wife the security she deserves wrt his ex.

Very well said. In this situation more than any other it'd been helpful to all involved. It'd have constantly reminded him of the fact that before being his "friend" she is his older brother's wife. And it'd maybe helped pp stay in check. She'd probably still bs shameless and tell him not to be "formal" but virat could've politely responded with calling you vahini does not mean you are not a friend but its a sign of my respect for you. And him calling her vahini would've definitely helped a little with Sai's insecurities. It doesn't mean everything is hunky dory. Case in point is the ninad-bk-ashwini situation. But at least superficially toh theres that defined relationship/maryaada when you call someone as vahini/bhabhi, taai etc.

The fact that he called her by her actual name in anger and not the informal pakhi itself is a good sign.
