All is not well on the sets of 'Ghulaam'. Lead pair Niti Taylor and Param Singh may be in love on screen, but the two have problems in real life. Niti, who also hit it off well with actor Vikkas Manaktala in the beginning, isn't on talking terms with him either. So what really went wrong?
When we asked Niti about this, she said, "Initially, things were fine. We would have a lot of fun the sets. Param and I would have lunch together every day. Vikkas, who would sit alone and have his lunch, also joined us and we became a fun-loving group. I was also good friends with Vikkas' wife Guunjan and we used to regularly go out for lunch. But things have changed now. Some misunderstandings at work have caused a rift between us. I even apologised to Vikkas over the misunderstanding, but guess I it was late, the damage was done."
About her friendship with Param going sour, she said, "Since Vikkas and I don't talk to each other, Param also prefers to keep a distance. It's sad that we all don't talk anymore. I know phones are not allowed on the set, so I just keep surfing on my phone while I'm in my room. Honestly, I am hurt and it's quite depressing how things went downhill. My mother recently even wanted to come down to Mumbai to comfort me because she knows how I feel about this."
Param refused to comment on this. He said, "I don't think I have anything to say in this. We all come here to work and I want to focus on my work and go ahead in my career."
Vikkas too echoed a similar sentiment. "We are all co-actors and don't come on the sets to strike a great friendship. I only want peace and harmony when it comes to my co-actors so that we all can give our best to the show."
We asked producer Rajesh Chadha if he sensed any tension on the set and he said, "My actors are thinking actors and they could have creative requirements or issues. We are here to solve their problems if there are any."
