This Shraadha thing is a classic way used by oldies to curb the youths in Hindi serials to get their own way . They showed it in Kasam se when the Maasi broke a pot of water screaming ur dead for me to Jai Walia in Kasam se , coz he and Bani had seperated . Perhaps it is shown as the ultimate tamasha in Hindi serials to snatch back power that is rapidly slipping away .
Question is , will they show anybody having enough guts to simply shake his head and walk away from Thakurji without bothering to change his decision ?
Will anybody ask Thakur three questions .
1] Why is he not acting his age and stop throwing tantrums , that this act is only a tamasha and a shameful one at that ?
2] Shraadha is done by the offsprings as an obeisance to the departed soul of their father . No one can do his own Sharaadha , that too alive . So will Nikhil say that right now I am calling the religious priests of the village , show him how ur violating religion and get u excommunicated this instant ?Religion cannot be used for ur personal tamasha . Shraadha coz a lil gal danced in a dance competition..........see how it sounds and how people will laugh at u Babuji .
3] Better stil will anyone ask the old man this question .........Why sit on the river bank , call everyone there to witness the pooja ? Why not jump in the river instead ?If he is that shocked , deeply miserable , jump na !šŸ˜† [ Take a real stylish dive , turban intact and all .]
Ah , but naughty naughty Thakur wont jump . And no one in the serial will stand upto a tamasha doing elder and chide him like told in our Bhagwad Geeta . Every aspect of God they will show , this they will cleverly avoid , the serialwallahs . Instead they will show all falling at his feet and the naughty old man getting away with his cheap tactics ! And this , my dearies , is supposedly Indian culture !

It's about time he did. I wonder how they are going to reconcile his crap as the show comes to an end. Surely they will show him as reformed and proper.. but how? It would have been interesting to watch if they showed a traditional and strict man instead of a caricature like Thakur. But then the show would have a complex story line and take brains to write.. and we can't have that of course! So the show has to be at the very idiotic bottom, the characters representing extremes so simple that they are unrecognizable as human beings.

I totally agree, for once I would like to see someone being told off for putting on a tamasha...what is an interesting change is that it is usually the woman (saas) that does this kind of tamasha, it is hilarious to see a man do it!
Going off the point here - didn't Jhanvi think just once before entering Bhavna in the dance program - just because Thakur-ji was supposed to be out of town, wouldn't anyone in the village have applauded him for his granddaughter's performance...it is a small village, surely, he would have found out even if he was away at that time. Jhanvi is a sucker for punishment, she wants to go against authority (no matter how wrong this authority is) & expect to come out unscathed...surely there is a better way for her to challenge this authority?

LOL!!!! Word!

I bet that everyone will tell him to not do the shraadh and forget to specify why he really is at this point. He's so upset because Bhavna danced at her school for a function. It's not like she wore those bikini style choli and skimpy lehngas or something and danced vulgarly. It's not like there was another boy she was dancing with. It's not like the people didn't like it. Implausible!
He expects his family to follow his rules out of the house too na? Then why didn't he tell those women at school to cover their heads? Or rather, why didn't he tell them, "I'll pound a nail on your forehead if you don't cover your face?" Plus, that woman put a tilak on his forehead.....she touched him....paraya mard....lolll....I know I'm reading way into it, but consistency is needed.
He felt his power was slipping, so he thought of a way of bringing it back. They should just let him do it. Hadn't he said one time "Humne jo kahe diya, so kahe diya"? Well no one can't change his decision now.....almighty ki decision. 🤣

Biggest joke is that the old brute is actually judging dance competitions in his granddaughter's school when he is so much against dance . Is this even remotely logical ? Arre if a person is against dance , fine , but show him principled , he wont even go where there is dance . There wont be dance programs in his house , he wont go to a disco , he wont go to a kotha , he will put the Tv off when one is watching Dance India Dance ........and he definetely wont judge dance competitions . Its like a temple pujari is judging a swimsuit contest . Sometimes i honestly wonder what is wrong with the brains of the scriptwriters . It must be some special disease , in which only the common sense part of the grey cells is eaten away .

Also, why would the school administrators choose him as a chief guest? He's really a bad example of a ideal role model. If he really believes that women should be surrounded with domestic duties then heck!!!!! Women can do that without an education. Why is he letting Bhavna go to school? When in school she will learn to be progressive? When she'll learn to have a voice of her own? Won't that arise to another revolt????? His character is purely other worldly.......I don't think there is a man out there........who is like Thakurjee.....🤢
