Gunjan Walia Walks Out On Sachin Verma!
Choices such as marriage are usually taken only after they are given a good deal of thought. If not, the consequences can be agonizing as well as troublesome. And possibly that's what has happened with Sachin Verma, who climbed the ladder of success with Kumkum and Reth and Gunjan Walia, whose claim to fame was Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye and the very recent Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan.
Within just four months of meeting each other, this tellyland couple had a surprise engagement planned by their families. Not only did Sachin go all out and declare that 'she is the girl' for him, but also took efforts to propose to her by inserting a ring in a cookie and ordering it for her at a restaurant. Needless to say, the lady, of course, was bowled over by this gesture and they decided to tie the knot.
However, only a year into this sanctimonious institution, Sachin and Gunjan's nuptials seem to have hit a dead end. In merely two months of their marriage, the two started living separately. Even though both of them tried to make everything appear perfect from the outside, they couldn't stop cracks in their marriage from being visible sooner or later. Rumour mills started doing the rounds when Gunjan moved into her parents' home.
According to sources close to the couple, they have surely filed for a divorce. What went wrong between the two is still not clear. It could be the fact that the couple had some major monetary issues as Gunjan belongs to a very wealthy family but insiders insist that their relationship was going through a lot of strain for more than a month because of the differences in opinion that cropped up between them after they started living together.
Says a reliable source, "People were quite surprised when they tied the knot so soon but the fact that they looked so much in love cleared all the doubts everyone had then. Alas! Even the love that bound them together couldn't last the test of time. Their problems have reached a height of no return and although Gunjan is still in love with him she isn't willing to compromise as they have too many issues."
Common friends of the couple also maintain that Gunjan hasn't even discussed the reasons the two parted ways with people close to her except for her family as she is still nursing a broken heart. Sachin, on the other hand, believes that the damage is irreparable and is in no mood for any kind of reconciliation.
We tried to get in touch with Gunjan but she remained unavailable for comment. Although, when we spoke to Sachin regarding his marital break-up, he thought for a few minutes before replying to our question. There was a certain amount of anguish in his voice as he resolutely maintained, "This is the one thing that I don't want to talk about at all."
That there is trouble in their paradise is pretty evident. And even though they're reluctant to confirm their impending divorce right now, we'll keep you posted when they finally decide to break their silence.
