"Blind dates are scary" You are all set to make an entry in Ajai Sinha's Ghar Ek Sapna on SaharaOne... I started shooting for the show a few days back. I should be on screen by next month. The character you play in the show falls in love with an older woman... It's about this guy who's in touch with a woman on phone. He loves her voice and is waiting to meet her. When he meets her, he realises she is somebody 10 years older than him. So, it's something like a blind date. Have you been on a blind date in real life? No! Blind dates are scary. You have no idea about the person you are about to meet. If someday you do go on a blind date and are disappointed, what will you do? I will still spend some time with the person because I don't think a blind date has to culminate in a relationship. You can end up being friends even. What about falling in love with a woman much older than you? That's absolutely okay. What matters is compatibility. If two people connect well, how does age matter? Yes, the general belief is that a man should be older because a woman tends to mature faster. But if a person is mature and can handle the relationship well, age does not matter. When you look back do you regret what happened during your Ayushmaan days? I wish that hadn't happened. I also know if the same thing had to happen now we the producers and me would have handled the situation much better. What had happened then was a painter on the sets brushed past my co-star Neha Mehta. That's when I asked him what he was upto. I slapped him twice. It became such a big issue that they wanted to file a police case against me. Of course there was no case filed by the police after they investigated the matter. So you feel you have learnt from that experience? Yes. I have matured a lot since then. If it had to happen today, I would want to sit across the table and discuss the matter with the producers, rather than be on opposite sides, get provoked and hit out at each other. Serials apart, you've also done a couple of films... Yes. I've just completed a movie Daughter which stars Vikram Gokhale, Padmini Kolhapure among others. I had done a song in Hum Tum. Earlier I did Stumped with Raveena Tandon. Lets start guessing who is mystery gal will be....maybe Devika???? |
