Can it be? To wait for someone for years and then to fall in love in a second with someone else?

Maan didn't believe it himself, he felt ashamed of himself to even think about his new colleague, not when he was still waiting for his first love after many years.

There was just something about her, that he couldn't put his finger on.

What made him so attracted to her, that her one glance made him forget it all, that her one smile lit up his world, that her one word demanded all his undivided attention.

Can it be? To love someone so much.

For Maan it was a reality. As a software engineer for over 10 years, he got to meet a lot of interested women but no one that made him want to move on in life, until he met her.

The secretary of his boss, and the one that made him happy to be at work.

But who was she? Yes they spoke from time to time but she managed to hide her real life in such a way that no one suspected that she wasn't letting people know about her private life. But not him, no.

He clung to every word spoken to him, he remembered it all. As if he was hoping to create an everlasting memory.

Why did he never approach her...he felt like he was betraying the love of his life, the one whom rejected his proposal and eventually married his bestfriend back home. His first love was the reason why he applied to jobs outside of his small town which eventually led to his very well paid job and impressive career.

Maan's dilemma is understandable

so he is falling for his colleague

however his colleague intrigues him

A part of him hopes that his first love will realize that "true" happiness can be found with him.

Maan isn't an ideal character here, he's just someone who fell in love and loved that person for years and still hopes that it'll get reciprocated even tho the chances are slim and it's morally wrong.
