Storyline….

A Maneet story where Maan and Geet are not the typical angry young man or the innocent timid girl… how their past affects their present is the plot….

Starting this new FF for the tamil new year…. .

Prologue

A new story with our Maneet as the lead….

This is not about the typical angry young man and the damsel in distress types story….. Both Maan and Geet have a past baggage which makes them the suitable match for each other… but both of them don’t know the whole story of each other’s past..

Let’s just meet the Khuranas of Delhi…

Savithri ji, Dadi, a parkinson’s patient….. wheel chair wali Dadi….

And our Maan lives with Dadi as his parents left him when young….

Sheetal, MSK’s mother died of illness when Maan was 2 years old….

Madan, Maan’s father followed his wife a couple of years later….

And we have Anvesha Khurana Rathod, Maan’s elder sister…..

Yes, Annie is 6 years elder to Maan and is married to Arjun Rathod…. She lives in Australia with her family….

Maan takes care of his father’s business….

Dadi is desperate to get Maan married as her body is not co-operating with her as much as she likes and she can’t even take care of herself without help….

She hates that for she has taken care of Maan and Anvesha single handedly all these years and now she wants to be there for them when they need her the most but she is helpless…..

Dadi has been searching for a suitable girl for Maan on her own with the help of munshiji….

Munshiji has told Dadi about the Handas who are keen to have a relationship with the Khuranas…..

Khurana Pariwaar is the most respected family in Hoshiarpur and even after they left for Delhi decades ago the reputation that Mr.Amarnath Khurana, Maan’s dadaji earned is still there among the villagers….

Mr.Khurana started his business selling most of his land at Hoashiarpur, except for a small strip that the Khuranas still hold as a part of their native place, which he left in the care of the Handas and moved to Delhi with a vision to give employment to the youth of his village where farming didn’t help them support their families…..

Even now there are a lot of workers from Hoshiarpur in KC….

That’s why the whole of Hoshiarpur is still very grateful to the Khurana family….

The Handas take care of the Khurana farm too……. Mr.Khurana senior did come to visit Hoshiarpur on a regular basis when he would look for new workers…. He would then visit the Handas, specially Darji as the two are very dear friends….

Darji refused to join Mr.Khurana’s business as he loved his farming very much…

Though he didn’t earn much from the fields he is happy to be a middle-class farmer than a rich business man….

Darji insisted that his friend gave the land to him for fear of those fertile land to be turned into another factory….

While most of the villagers readily sold their land to factory owners as they didn’t want their children to suffer like them…. They sent them to Delhi to study and settle there with a job….

Khurana’s land is on the highway and could have fetched a lot more had Amarnath sold to any outsider, but he chose to give it to his friend who couldn’t afford to pay him that much for Amarnath too wanted his farm to remain under cultivation…..

Madan was born and brought up in Delhi and he was never interested in going to their farm at Hoshiarpur…..

He didn’t even care to inquire about the crops or the earnings from that 2 acres…

Neither did they depend on that money nor did they wished to hold Darji accountable for that, Madan respected Darji like family, he is like Amarnath’s brother….

The Khurana’s might have made it big in their business and become one of the successful business house in Delhi but they live in isolation away from their own people….

Amarnath was a single child as was Madan… Savithri didn’t have time to keep in touch with his cousins for they were far from the others and most of them didn’t like their growth…. So, she preffered not to entertain such relationship….

Their only link at Hoshiarpur is the Handas and that too Dadi has a couple of telephonic conversations with Darji in a whole year….

Now that the Handas are themselves interested in this relationship dadi is very keen in to go with it…..

The Handas are not money minded and they are doing this only for Mr.Amarnath Khuranas friendship with darji…..

A number of proposals from the business circle came for Maan but they are more like business deals…. Maan’s market value is down now as he is a widower….

Dadi wants someone who can take care of Maan and the family, who can accept the Khuarana pariwaar as her very own family, who’ll be a support for Maan and stand by him at all times. Good and bad……

Basically dadi is looking for a substitute for her place in Maan’s life…..

Sheetal aaj zinda hothi toh Dadi Maan ko lekhe itna pareshaan nahi hothi….

Moreover this illness has limited her activities a lot and she is mostly confined to her room…. That itself is killing Dadi, the fact that she can’t fulfill her duties properly….

Dadi wants someone to take over the responsibilities of the family, specially Maan after her….

Dadi is all set to welcone Ms. Geet Handa as the Khurana bahu soon….

Dadi has to do something to convince Maan, that’s it….

But the one and only problem is that only, it’s not easy to persuade MSK into the marriage….

It’s just been over a year after the tragic loss of his wife, Sameera….

Dadi gave Maan more than enough time to grieve her loss, that’s it, Maan has to move on in his life, it’s not the end of his life, after all he is only 25….

Dadi got Maan married a little earlier for she wanted Maan to have a family as he was all alone after Annie’s marriage…

KM looked like a bhoot bungalow with Maan busy with the business and dadi being the only old soul haunting the house all day…

Maan’s wedding was the first grand celebration at KM after a long time…

Annie’s wedding was held at Arjun’s place, Haridwar…

Dadi was happy that she fulfilled her duties before her illness made her more inactive..

But her happiness didn’t last long, and here she is back looking for a bahu again…

Dadi knows that it’s not easy for Maan to leave his past behind and think of a future with someone else…. But Maan went into depression after Sam left, it took him more than six months to realize the situation and pick up from there….

Annie and Arjun had to come back from Australia… Arjun was really nice to take a long leave from his work and come here for Maan…

Dadi was hopeless, Maan initially went berserk and went hiding in the woods, camping in remote forests, running away from everything…

Then he came back and stayed at home without showing any interest in business, irritated by any outside contact, he was literally a prisoner of his own thoughts…

Arjun tried his best to put KC back on the heels, which was totally under performing without Maan….

Annie, with her two sons, one 5 years old and the other just a toddler, spent as much time possible with her brother, but it was a tough ask even for Annie, she too was frustrated as she couldn’t manage as Maan was not at all cooperating….

That’s when Dadi decided that she has to step in and find another solution…

Dadi asked Annie to go back and take care of her life, and otherwise Maan wouldn’t learn to take care of his …

Dadi asked a few loyal staff like Adi, Sasha, Pinky and others to come and work at the OH, turned into a makeshift office…

Dadi initially started to take charge working on the wheelchair itself…

Maan realized his mistake and asked dadi to stop punishing herself at this age…

Dadi says that she can’t keep watching from the side, when the business empire her husband built through his hard work was going down the gutters… she is not MSK, without any feelings, she is just an old woman still not able to free herself from human feelings like Maan, the Mahaan…

Maan was forced to work again… Adi told Maan about the problems that crept in as soon as there was no head, the unions started making their own rules and the rivals supported them indirectly…

Maan then slowly started to go to KC… yet he was still the same within, the loneliness was killing him from the inside slowly….

Maan will ruin his life if left alone, dadi knows he desperately needs someone to pull him out of this stagnation…. Dadi can’t see him struggling within himself, he is an introvert, keeps his feelings secret, he is living like a lifeless zombie…

Maan has been like that from his childhood, after his parents’ loss too he never showed his pain like Annie, Annie always spoke about her parents and how she missed her father a lot…

Maan was more closer to his mother Sheetal, but he never complained about his fate, but showed a lot of courage and maturity beyond his age….

Maan is not a loner, he pretends to be one, he was attached to his dadaji after Sheetal left, after dadaji, it was Annie, Annie being 6 years elder to Maan, cared for him the most, he respects her a lot, she is more than a sister to him, he was very close to her until her marriage, after which she moved to Australia…

And after the two kids, she rarely has the time for anything else… Maan got attached to Sam likewise, Annie didn’t have to worry about him then….

Even though you have your siblings, it’s not the same like having a partner… Maan is missing that special care and company, but he won’t accept that… it’s upto our drama queen, Dadima to pull him out of this grave that he is digging for himself before it’s too late…

Part - 13

One morning dadi asks Maan about the girl he met at Hoshiarpur….

Dadi: did you speak to Geet bete? Hwz she doing?

Maan just remembers Geet…

Maan doesn’t even have her number…

Maan: she’s fine dadi

Dadi: humme bhi unse baat karni hai Maan, aap baat karwado

Maan is caught now, dadi knows her potha better than himself…

Maan remains silent…

Dadi: hum baat nahi kar sakte kya?

Maan: aaisa kuch nahi hai Dadima

Dadi: then what’s the matter Maan? Did you get into a fight with her?

Maan: what? Why would I?

Dadi: then what’s the problem talking to her?

Maan: I don’t have her no

Dadi: what?

Maan: I don’t want to disturb her studies

Dadi: disturb her? She is your mangetar Maan

Maan: why do you have to remind me again and again?

Dadi: b’coz you seem to have a memory loss problem

Maan: Dadiiiii

Dadi: ok, I’ll get her no from Darji

Maan: fine, you let me know when you get

Dadi: we’ll get it right away

Dadi calls Darji and gets the number in a minute…

Maan: ok, I’ll call her later, I’ve got to go now

Dadi: not before you call Geet

Maan: why are you after me always?

Dadi: b’ coz I’m your Dadi

Maan tries calling that number..

But thankfully there is no network connection…

Maan: she must be at college, I’ll try again at lunch time

Dadi: let’s see

Maan escapes from Dadi for the time being….

Maan then goes to KC and forgets about calling Geet again…

Maan could have escaped from Dadima, but he can’t escape easily from Geet it seems…

Maan gets a call from that warden …

Maan thinks that maybe warden has some message about Geet, yes, but it’s not a good one….

Maan: halo ma’am

Warden: Mr.Khurana, where is Geet?

Maan is shocked to hear that..

Maan: what do you mean by that? You should know where she is better than me

Warden: Geet has not gone to the class

Maan: she must be at the hostel

Warden: why would I call you if she is here?

Maan: what? She is not there

Warden: she is not here also

Maan: she is your responsibility, how could you say that she is missing?

Warden: Mr., She is your responsibility, you have taken every responsibility of her conducts and that’s why I let her stay here, I have the papers if you have forgotten

Maan: I know, but she would be there only, may be gone out with a friend

Warden: luckily everyone else is at college this time

Maan: what? She has gone on her own?

Now Maan gets really worried… he is scared b’coz he only took her from her home and left her at the hostel…

He is answerable to her family too…

Warden: what should I do Mr. Khurana? Shall I call the police?

Maan: no no, don’t do any such thing, I’ll come there immediately, I’m fully confident that she must be there in the campus only, maybe in the library or anywhere around

Warden: we tried calling her, but her mobile is not reachable

Maan just remembers that even when he called in the morning he too got the same reply…

Maan is really worried now…

Where would this stupid girl go? Hope she doesn’t get into any trouble…

Maan rushes to Chandigarh…

He drives faster and faster as he thinks about Geet…

Warden updates him that she is not in the library or in the campus itself…

Maan curses himself for trying to help Geet…

Maan has voluntarily got himself into this mess, now he doesn’t know if he could forgive himself for this ever…

Maan keeps calling Geet repeatedly even though he gets the same message every time…

He is almost there… a few kms away from her college…

Maan tries calling her again..

This time he hears the ringtone and he is hopeful that he could speak some sense into that stupid girl…

Geet: halo, kaun hai?

Maan: kaun hai? Where are you?

Geet: tum kaun hai be

She cuts the call at once…

Maan is pissed… he calls her again…

Maan: Geet, this is Maan

Geet: kaun Maan? Don’t call me again, warna mein police mein complain karoongi

Geet warns his this time before cutting the call…

Maan calls again…

Geet ignores his call…

Maan keeps calling… he messages her that it’s none other than MSK, and it’s very important…

Geet thinks who this MSK is? Full name bathatha toh identify hotha…

Geet then picks up the call…

Maan: Geet, don’t you dare cut my call

Geet: don’t you dare talk to me like that again, who are you and what do you want?

Maan: Maan Singh Khurana

Geet now remembers the name… Maan has addressed himself only like this to Geet na, now she remembers him very well…

Geet: aap?

Maan: where are you?

Geet: hostel mein, aap ko patha nahi?

Maan: what?

Geet: hostel, hostel, don’t you remember dropping me off

Maan: I know, but that ma’am said you are not there

Geet: I’m here only, who said I’m not here?

Maan: warden

Geet: she must be kidding

Maan: it’s very serious Geet, go and report to her immediately

Geet: why?

Maan: do what I said

Maan tells her in a stern voice..

Geet is scared and she understands that it must be something pretty serious…

Geet: ok, ok, relax, I’m going

Màan is relieved and he decides to go visit the site as he has come this far…

While Maan is at the site he gets a call from a new number…

It’s Geet and she sounds very upset…

Maan: kya hua?

Geet: you have to come here right now

Maan: but why?

Geet: you come first and I’ll tell you

Maan: I’m busy Geet, I’m at work

Geet: I’m coming then, where are you?

Maan: what? I’m coming, and you please stay there until I come

What has this girl done to Maan? Maan Singh Khurana is pleading her…

Geet: I’m waiting, if you don’t come in an hour then I’m coming

Maan: don’t do anything stupid like that, wait for me

Maan hurries to the hostel…

Warden: so you are here finally, you can take her home for god’s sake

Maan is shocked to hear that…

Now what?

Knowing Geet Maan knows that she would always fight for herself… that puts her in trouble again and again…

No worries, Maan Singh Khurana is here to take care of it… whatever it may be, Maan is confident that Geet wouldn’t have done anything bad…

Part – 20

Geet comes unannounced and Maan knew that she will come sooner than later…

Maan is also preparing himself for the battle field… he knows that winning Geet Handa is not that simple…. He has seen her do anything to get what she wants…. It’s going to be a tough fight….

Geet goes and stays at the outhouse….

Maan ignores her completely.. he acts as if her presence does not affect him in any way…

Dadi restricts Nakul from serving Maan…

Geet takes that duty…

She is there with the protein drink to start with till serving dinner to Maan…

Her day starts with taking the protein drink for Maan when he is practicing tai chi and drooling over his six pack abs…

Maan is helpless as he could neither stop her nor change his routine which would mean that he is scared of Geet..

She goes and picks the dress for him while he goes to shower and waits for him…

Maan always rejects whatever she has chosen and wears something else instead…

Once Maan forgets the towel and Geet takes it to the washroom to gives it to Maan…

Maan catches hold of her hands and pulls her in…

Geet didn’t expect that and is shocked…

Maan: would you like to have a bath with me? Is that what you want?

Geet: nahi, but I won’t mind if that’s what you want

Maan pushes her our after his plans to scare her backfires….

Geet then accompanies him to KC ….

Everyone is surprised to see a girl accompanying Maan…

Geet understands that all eyes are on her only…

Maan has just walked into his cabin without even turning back or looking at Geet…

He didn’t think that it’s any of his business to introduce Geet to his staff…

Geet goes to the reception and meets Pinky who is the receptionist…

Geet: what’s your name?

Pinky stands up to answer for Geet must be someone special for the MSK himself has brought her to the office…

MSK has never done it, it’s the first time and Geet is the one and only girl to have got that privilege…

Pinky: Pinky ma’am

Geet: do you know who I am?

Pinky: no ma’am

Geet: I am the newly appointed secretary of Mr. Maan Singh Khurana

There is another shocker for KC, no one, not even Sasha has the audacity to address “Maan sir” like that….

Adi just comes… he is a bit late today… he doesn’t know about Geet’s royal entry with none other than the king of KC, MSK…

Adi: good morning Pinky, tum toh aaj bahut jaj rahi ho, kya baat hai?

Pinky: Adi, ssshhh

Pinky looks towards Geet…

Just then adi notices Geet…

Pinky: Adi, this is Geet ma’am, aur ye Maan sir ki

Geet interupts…

Geet: halo Adi, right?

Adi panics hearing Pinky call Geet ma’am…

Adi: goo goo good morning ma’am

Geet laughs hearing him call her like that…

Geet: ma’am, mein?

Adi blinks….

Geet: I’m Maan Singh Khurana’s secretary

Adi: secretary, toh mein kaun hoon?

Actually acts as Maan’s personal assistant along with being the accountant…

Geet: you are his secretary? No wonder Maan has a male secretary, kadoos Khurana ko ladhkiyon se dar lagta hai

Adi: sshh not here

Adi and Pinky take Geet to the pantry, their secret gossip corner…

Geet seem to know everything about Maan sir…

Adi: how did you get the job?

Pinky: Maan sir ko kaise jaanthe ho tum?

Geet: oh, mein Dadima ke distant relative hoon, dadi has given me the job

Geet shows them the appointment letter signed by Savithri Devi Khurana….

Now they know how Geet got a lift from Maan…

Pinky is busy munching her chips….

Adi: Pinky, subha nastha nahi kiya hai kya?

Pinky: pantry mein khane ke liye hi aathe haina? Geet, do you want some?

Geet joins Pinky ….

She befriends Adi and Pinky immediately…

Geet: Adi, where’s my cabin?

Part – 14

Maan straight away asks the warden what her problem is with Geet this time…

Maan is here to defend Geet? but he doesn’t know why he is doing all this for it’s none of his business, he has no idea of marriage, then what is the meaning of encouraging this relationship, definitely this is not friendship, then what is it that Maan wants out of this?

Maan looks at the warden and he is clearly irritated…

Maan: why? What’s wrong?

Warden: she is a big nuisance for me

Maan: ma’am, do mind your words, she is my fiancee

Oh! Maan is here for his fiancee!…

Warden: you yourself talk to her

Geet comes… : finally you came

She is very happy to see him…

Maan: may I talk to her alone

Warden let’s them speak in private…

Maan: what’s happening Geet?

Geet: that woman is unnecessarily blaming me and she has seized my mobile too, she will only listen to you

Maan: but where did you go in the morning?

Geet: what’s wrong with you people? How many times should I tell you that I was here only? No one wants to believe me

Geet gets angry…. She is almost in tears…

Maan: I do believe you, tell me what happened

Geet: I had a lot of writing to do, so I took a day off and stayed back just like everyone, but they say that I have to take special permission b’coz I’m Geet Handa, they are keeping track of me all the time, it’s not just right, haina?

Maan: they said you were not in your room

Geet: I went to a friend’s room for she has got a laptop from where I needed to write down everything

Maan: you don’t have a laptop?

Geet: no, now I don’t even have my mobile

Maan is surprised…

Maan: I’ll get you both, now come with me

Maan takes her to the warden..

Warden: so now you know what I’m talking about

Maan: now I know what you did to her, this is unacceptable ma’am, how could you do this?

Warden is shocked by his questions… even Geet is pleasantly surprised… that’s why she actually called him, he stands up for her always…

Warden: what are you talking about? What did she lie to you?

Maan: she just said the truth, why would she lie when she has not done anything wrong?

Warden: she bunked class and stayed in someone else’s room

Maan: what’s wrong in that?

Warden: she scared the hell out of us this morning, she didn’t even answer our call

Maan: there was no network connection at that place, your people searched incompletely, that’s your fault and not Geet’s, now if you could give back her mobile you won’t have any problem

Warden: are you trying to threaten me Mr?

Maan: I don’t care if you take it as a threat or warning, I just want Geet to stay peacefully until she completes her course

Warden gives the mobile back to Geet and stares her…: go to your room

Geet turns and looks at Maan…

Maan nods his head and asks her to go, assuring her that she will be fine…

Maan: just call me if you have any problem

Maan tells her in front of the warden….

Geet: teek hai

Geet goes back and Maan takes a leave…

Maan returns to Delhi…

That night Maan is thinking about what happened and is worried what to expect further…

He is facing unexpected problems from the moment he had met this girl… he doesn’t know if it’s his bad fortune or the girl’s that they met each other first of all…

Just then he gets a message from Geet…

“thank you very much for coming, I liked how you bashed that woman left and right, you have made things much easier for me, thank you'

Maan is confused if he should respond to her message or not…

He marks it as unread then…

Now there won’t be a problem…

Next day…

Maan is about to go to bed after a long day when he gets a call from Geet…

Now he regrets not responding to the message…

Maan: bolo

Geet: why didn’t you see my message? First save my no.

Maan: hmm, I’ll

Geet: thank you for everything you did yesterday

Maan: hmm

Geet: good night

Maan: good night

Maan cuts the call…

He knows she wouldn’t call him ever again… his job is done…

Geet feels little disappointed but she won’t stop calling him…

Next day at KC…

Maan is waiting for Sasha to see the next presentation..

Sasha comes…

Sasha: good morning Maan sir

Maan: let’s see the presentation

Sasha: Maan sir, I’ll get it ready by tomorrow

Maan: why? It should have been ready yesterday itself

Sasha: it’s my laptop, there’s some problem with it and I’ve given it for repair, it’s really difficult to work on the mobile, that’s why Maan sir

Maan: ok get it ready soon

Sasha leaves….

Maan is reminded about Geet saying something about using a friend’s laptop… he did tell her that he would get her one… she won’t be expecting that … but she could use it’s services though…

Maan thinks that maybe when he goes to Chandigarh next time he may get her one…

And here Maan has started looking for laptops on the net… He is not even aware that he is getting influenced by someone badly…

It’s Wednesday, and the laptop is ready for delivery and so is our delivery boy… Maan usually goes to the Chandigarh site on Thursdays, that’s how his programs are scheduled at KC… but he can’t wait now…

Maan has some urgent work at the Chandigarh site, that’s how he wishes to put it…

He is on his way to Chandigarh… And he is at the hostel in no time…

Maan is waiting in the visitors room…

Geet comes running… she was not expecting the visitor at all..

Geet is panting heavily after the running…

Maan: sab teek haina?

Geet: haan

Maan: kissi ne tumme tang nahi kiya na?

Geet: nahi

Maan: hwz your studies?

Geet: good

Maan: this is for you

Geet is surprised to see the laptop…

Geet: iski kya zaroorat thi?

Maan: I don’t want you to go missing again

Geet: I won’t

Maan: take it

Geet takes it from him…

Geet: thanks

Maan: you need it na?

Geet: sure

Maan: ok, do well, I must go

Maan walks off…

Geet: wait

Maan turns back and looks at her…

Part – 15

Geet keeps staring him….

Maan: what’s it Geet? Jaldi bathao, I’m getting late

Geet likes the way he takes care of her and is always ready to be there for her whenever she needs him…

But she is not satisfied, she wants him to spend more time with her…

Geet: dabha chalein?

Maan: I have got to go Geet, phir kabhi chalthe haina?

Geet: kahin bahar jaane ka mann kar raha hai, you know this warden won’t let me out at all, every other girl goes out and eats

Maan: I’ll get you something if you want

Geet: ek mahine ho gayi hai iss gate ke bahar jaake, it’s really frustrating, you know what I mean?

Maan feels sorry for her… he falls prey for her puppy face…

Maan: ok

Geet jumps in joy…: I’ll be back in a minute, don’t go

Geet runs to change…

Maan: dhere chalo, I won’t go anywhere

They go to Happy Singh dabha again… it’s Geet’s favourite haina….

Happy Singh welcomes Maan and this time he lets them sit in one of the private huts which is for family…

He has approved of their relationship…

Maan needed that space for he is embarrassed to be with Geet in the open, with all those hawk eyes watching them only…

Happy Singh gets their signature dish the murgh malai tikka specially made for Maan…

Maan thinks that it’s funny that he gets special attention not b’coz he is the MSK this time but he is here with Geet Handa….

Its good to be someone’s guest at times and not being the host always…

Maan actually enjoys the attention contrary to what he thought…

It’s one of those times when he is able to forget his worries temporarily…

There is no harm in letting out your stocked up pressure like this once in a while…

Geet orders lacha paratha and extra spicy gravy for herself… she is a foodie who forgets the world when she is eating… she doesn’t notice Maan totally adoring her relish the food the whole time…

Geet pays the bills which is another surprise for Maan, this girl never stops surprising him, some of them are good ones too like this one…

Geet: this is my treat for the laptop

Maan: I like that

Maan drops her off and returns back…

All the way back to Delhi his mind is fully occupied with Geet’s thoughts…

For the next few days he couldn’t get Geet out of his mind however hard he tried…

Maan decides that it’s enough and he should not be encouraging it anymore…

Maan stops visiting Chandigarh for almost a month….

Dadi senses that something is wrong…

Dadi makes a plan… that weekend, it’s a three days holiday, Geet was saying that this Friday too is a holiday for them, dadi sends the driver to pick up Geet…

Dadi cleverly used Adi to get Maan’s signature and she sent a permission letter signed by Maan to the warden….

The driver goes to the hostel and gives the letter to the warden…

The warden sees the letter and immediately calls Maan

Warden: Hello Mr khurana

Maan immediately panics hearing from the warden’s voice. .

Iss bar uss ladhki ne kya naya tamasha kiya hoga?

Ye Maan ne kudh apne pairon pe khulhari mari hai iss ladki ki zamendari apne upar lekhe…

Maan: Yes ma’am

Warden: What is this?

Maan is confused….

Maan is caught unaware of what is happening….

Maan thinks that maybe Geet wants to go out with some new friend…. Boyfriend hoga kya? Nahi, aaise nahi hoga…

Warden: Yes you have sent the driver to pick up Geet

Maan now understands that it should have been the job of his one and only Dadima…. Maan has to save his family honor, dadi aur Geet ki… if he says that he doesn’t have any idea of what’s going on, then it would put a question mark on already damaged reputation of Geet….

Maan: But ma’am, he's like family, you can send Geet with him without any doubts

Warden: I am sending Geet this time for she too has to be with family like other girls, but next time I won’t let her go with anyone else except you, understood?

Maan: Yes ma’am, thank you

Moreover, Warden didn’t want Maan to come and teach her another lesson, so she thought it’s better to let Geet go with the driver….

Maan has to get ready for the unexpected guest at KM…

Geet is excited to visit Maan’s place….

Dev likes the way she mimicked him…

Geet is not happy with Maan leaving her like that…

Dev: where’s Maan? I didn’t even see him, actually I haven’t seen anyone except you Geet

Geet: Maan has left

Dev: no problem, I’ll drop you

Geet: the driver is here

Dev: and by the way, tomorrow is my birthday

Geet: advance birthday wishes

Dev: no no, you should come and wish me tomorrow

Geet is happy… she goes out to the lift with the mobile …

The lift just opens and Maan comes out….

Geet runs like a kid waiting for the parent….

Maan didn’t expect such a welcome…

Maan is taken aback and he steps back into the elevator itself…

Geet gets in too…

The door closes…

Maan: kya baat hai Geet?

Geet: itne dher uske saath kya kar rahe the?

Maan is shocked by her direct inquiry…

Maan: kiske saath?

Geet: wahi, Ms.kaur

Maan: tum pagal ho gayi ho kya?

Geet: haan, mein pagal ho chuki hoon, aap uske saath kabhi nahi jaaoge, samjhe aap?

Maan: what? Are you serious?

Geet: I’m damn serious, don’t do this again

Maan: it’s purely business

Geet: you don’t need such a business, that’s my order, don’t you dare going out with her again

Maan: what if it’s a business meet?

Geet: ask her to meet your secretary hereafter, tell her that she can reach you only through your secretary, tell her that you need my permission to meet anyone, I’ll show her her place

Geet is very serious…

Maan: is this even possible? Does your words make any sense?

Geet: I don’t know, I don’t want to see her anywhere near you

Maan knows that Ms.kaur is into him and he has quashed her interests right there itself… she left in a fury and Maan went to Gurgaon alone…

Maan was just playing with Geet as he is amused to see her being possesive about Maan…

Maan keeps watching Geet in awe…

Geet: nahi

Maan: are you sure?

Geet: haan, abhi ke liye itna hi, aage ka toh aap ke upar hai

Maan: toh door open karoon kya?

Geet just then realizes that they are in the elevator…

Geet: mein khol sakthi hoon

Maan: ek minute Geet

Geet turns back and looks at Maan…

Maan: what were you doing with Dev?

Geet: talking business

Geet gives him a taste of his own medicine…

Geet opens the door and leads the way…

Maan had to wait a minute for it would look like he is following her…

Past continued.....

Maan started thinking straight again…

He looked at the present and accessed the situation that he had put his loved ones into…

That was not fair, he had been punishing everyone all these days…

Maan realized that he has been troubling his elder sister Annie and his jijaji Arjun unnecessarily….

Arjun had got an offer from Australia and he was not sure if he could leave Annie and his sons here with her brother and go to Australia by himself…

Annie would never agree to go with him leaving her brother in that condition…

Dadi knew about it and she decided to talk to Maan…

Dadi: Maan, ye aap kya kar rahe ho beta? Aaise kitne din chalega? Sambhaliye apne aapko, aur Annie bhi kitne din aaise aap ke seva karte rahegi?

Maan: par Dadima, meine didi ko rokha kahan?

Dadi: aap aaise rahoge toh Annie kaise jayegi Australia Arjun ke saath?

Maan: Australia? Meine suna Arjun left his job

Dadi: aap ke liye choda tha

Maan: kya? Nobody told me

Dadi: were you even in a position to listen? You messed up everything not just for yourself but for everyone, you can’t expect Arjun to keep running KC forever, he loves his job and he has even got an offer in Australia, but Annie is not ready to go

Maan: don’t tell me that it’s also because of me

Dadi: you know it already Maan, you are not a kid anymore, Annie should take care of her family and you should take care of yours

Maan: I don’t have a family Dadi

Maan thinks about Sam….

Dadi: Maan, you are a father now, and your family is your daughter, she is your responsibility, how long would she live with her Nani beta? She is our daughter, she is a Khurana, she should be here on her home

Maan then realizes that he had been neglecting his daughter making excuses about his loss and totally ignoring the new born, his princess, his ray of hope, his life, his future, his daughter Mansi…

What happened to him? How could he abandon his daughter?

But he was still not confident enough to claim custody of Mansi…

Maan thinks that first he should help Arjun go back to his life with his family…

Masn started going to KC slowly relieving Arjun…

But when everyone was happy about Arjun’s job, Annie made it clear that she would go only when Maan brought Mansi home…

Then he went to Shimla to see his daughter…

Tara was not ready to let him see his daughter, she said that he didn’t even care to know if his daughter was alive or not in these months and so he has no right over her…

Maan came back empty handed but he promised Annie to bring her niece somehow….

He convinced Annie that it would take some time and she should go with Arjun while Maan would take care of his own life…

Annie left with her family…

Maan realized that his daughter is his one and only reason to live…

Maan wants to be there for her no matter what, he won’t let his daughter stay in someone else’s care when her father is alive…

Sam would easily forgive Maan for her death, but she would never forgive him for leaving their daughter in other’s care….

Maan then decided that the only way to forgive himself would be to take up his responsibility as a father seriously and give the life his daughter deserves…

After repeated attempts and with Pawan’s support Maan got to see his daughter….

Maan was really angry with himself for not taking any efforts to see his daughter…

Maan was really ashamed of himself for being so selfish and irresponsible….

Maan wanted to take Mansi to Delhi, but Tara was still feeding Mansi and she said that Mansi is her daughter now and Maan should not think about taking her away from her…

Tara was in a way right, no one would trust Maan to be a good father after what he had done….

But Maan has realized his mistake and he vows to dedicate the rest of his life for his daughter and daughter only, he would start living for his daughter and would never ever think about himself in the future….

Does he have a future other than his daughter? He has nothing left to live, he has no interest in anything but his daughter….

Maan made up his mind to stop thinking about the his past and start living for his daughter…

At that point Mansi was his only hope to live….

Maan rented a house at Shimla then, he stayed there for a month and went to see Mansi daily… Tara slowly started believing in Maan…

She was then skeptical about Maan’s remarriage, as he was too young and would eventually marry someone else…

Tara could never think about letting Mansi stay with a step mother… not even in her worst dreams would Tara let that happen….

Tara was feeling like an allien even with her mother, living with her grandparents and uncle’s family….

Here, Mansi has no mother to take care of her, and men can’t be trusted with child care….

Maan was grieving Sam’s loss so much then that he vouched never to think of another girl in his life…

Maan went to see Tara with a determination to get back his daughter and make her realize that no one can stop him from taking his daughter….

Maan: Mansi meri beti hai

Tara laughs hearing that…

Maan: what’s so funny? It’s the truth and you can’t keep denying it

Tara: Mansi tummari beti hai? Who are you kidding? Just sleeping with my sister won’t make you a father Mr. MSK, do you even know the “a” of parenting? What kind of a father forgets that he has a daughter for months and all of a sudden remembers her? A child is not some fancy shoes that you buy one day and forget about it forever

Maan had no answers for he knew that he was wrong…

Tara: forget about me? Would Mansi trust such a father? A father who is so absent minded that he forgets her for six months in a year and remembers for the other six months

Maan was shocked for Tara was right ….

Maan: but I won’t keep doing it forever, you know that too

Tara: what if you start your life again? Then you will forget Mansi

Maan: what are you talking about?

Tara: come on Maan, you are only 24, you have a long life ahead and you will meet people, you will like people and you will fall in love with people, then marry again, have kids, what about Mansi then?

Maan: what rubbish? Mansi is my wife and there is no place for other people in our life

Tara: but you are absent minded and you will forget what you just said in the next six months

Maan: I accept that I made a mistake, but that doesn’t mean that I’m that bad a man to neglect my daughter, and how could you think of anyone in place of Sam? You might be able to forget your sister but I would never, and no one can ever take her place, Neither in my life nor in our daughter’s life, one thing you too know very well

Tara: what?

Maan: that however hard you try, you can never replace Sam in Mansi’s life, could you?

Tara went speechless…

Maan: the same way no other girl can replace Sam in my life

Maan convinced Tara in the end…

Sam made a deal with him that she will give his Mansi back after two years, if he was still determined that Mansi is his one and only priority in his life and that there is no place for anyone else in his life whatsoever….

Then Tara let him have his daughter for the weekends after her first birthday…

This deal was within the two of them, no one else knew about that… Pammy learnt about it slowly… then Pawan too got to know about it and thought that it was stupid… but Tara silenced him by asking him, why Pawan is so bothered while Maan is ok with it?

She was telling him that Mansi and Rithusa were their two children and Pawan should forget about having another baby… now Pawan was happy that he could have another child at least and kept quiet…

After that Dadi played a super cameo that changed Maan’s life upside down, and now he has promised to marry Geet, but is still trying to maintain it as a secret till Mansi’s second birthday which is only four months away…. He can do anything after bringing Mansi home, but he doesn’t want to make things complicated before that…

Geet on the other hand has no restrictions like Maan, she is very happy and can’t think about anything else except her marriage with Maan…

This is her dream come true moment and she has every right to enjoy it to the fullest…

Maan has no right to stop her… he is not going to, anyway… he is happy as long as the wedding matter comes out after his problems are solved and he gets the custody of his daughter once forever….

Maan has to send Geet back to Hoshiarpur before he goes to Shimla this weekend…

He doesn’t want any speculations arising about Geet’s stay at KM for too long… Geet won’t be happy to leave Maan, but he has to convince her somehow…

Geet is talking with Dadi about the good news and complaining about Maan’s postponing of the wedding again and again…

Dadi also thinks that it’s unfair, and supports Geet that she should be with Maan through thick and thin, if he has a problem, then let him face it along with Geet, why should he be thinking that he is still alone?

Dadi says that Maan is not able to bring Mansi home because of Dadi’s illness, else Dadi herself would have gone to Shimla and brought back her pothi long back…

Dadi feels that once Geet is here, then there will be no problem to bring Mansi home…

These two are planning an early wedding while Maan is not aware of their wicked plans…

Later at KC…

Dev comes to KC…

Geet doesn’t go to her cabin at all as Dev is there inside with Maan… they are discussing about the new project…

Maan calls Geet…

Geet avoids going sending the message through Adi that she is having a head ache…

Maan comes to check on her after Dev leaves…

Geet is having a chat with Pinky.. she looks to be fine…

Maan: Geet

Geet turns back and looks at Maan…

Maan goes back to the cabin…

Geet follows him…

Geet: aap ne mujhe bhualaya?

Maan: mein kal bhualatha toh tu parsoon aaoge kya?

Geet: woh mein thoda busy thi

Maan: Pinky ke saath gappe marke?

Geet: aap bhi toh apne dhost ke saath busy the, mein ne kuch bhola?

Geet: you can’t take me for granted, I’m here just for myself, I’m not your puppet, bhool jao ki aap jo chahe wahi hoga

Maan: tum jo chahte ho woh bhi nahi hoga

Geet: dekhte hai

Geet leaves angrily… she doesn’t talk to him after that…

Maan only knows that he already has a life ….

Whatever may be his reason he should never have made such a grave mistake…

One day dadi comes up with another idea to help Geet…..

She calls Maan and asks him to take Geet out for a change for she has not gone anywhere but be at his service all the time…

That evening Maan takes Geet out for dinner compelled by Dadi…

Maan has been observing the changes in Geet towards Maan…

She is simply smitten….

Maan is not at all happy with the proceedings of this nakli shadi ki drama…

He doesn’t want to encourage Geet’s feelings but this dadi is pouring oil in the already raging fire which Maan is desperately trying to douse before much damage is done…

Geet had got herself a special saree while she was shopping with Annie this afternoon specially for her first date with the MSK…

Poor Maan is unaware of the date twist that dadi had given to Geet…

Geet is getting ready in the OH…

Maan is waiting for her downstairs…

Maan is little worried as Geet takes so long to come…

Maan thinks that Geet is deliberately keeping him waiting…

After a while Maan loses his patience and goes up to find what’s taking Geet so long to get ready for a casual dinner…

As Maan goes and knocks the door Geet goes to open the door..

She struggles to walk fast in the saree for she is wearing one for the first time…

Maan shouts impatiently…

Geet: andar aao

Maan springs the door open just to see her angelic beauty…

Maan turns back trying to ignore her…

Maan: chalein?

Geet: haan

Maan walks ahead faster…

Geet tries to catch up with him… she has almost reached him…

As she takes long steps her legs get entangled in the saree and she looses her balance…

Geet falls on Maan who is just in front of her…

Maan acts swiftly and stops her from falling on the ground….

Maan is holding her waist and Geet freezes by the touch of his long fingers…

Maan could feel her silky smooth skin and her raising heart beats…

Maan: what’s the hurry Geet? Why are you racing in a saree?

Geet: nahi

Maan: you can change the saree if you are not comfortable, I’ll wait

Maybe Maan is the one who is feeling uncomfortable seeing Geet in that beautiful saree…

Geet: nahi, mein teek hoon

Maan: are you sure?

Geet: haan

Maan: be careful Geet

Geet: teek hai

Maan slows down so that Geet can walk slowly…

Maan helps her by opening the car’s door for her as she is still struggling to walk steadily in the saree…

Geet spends the next few days with Dadima…

Dadi is worried that Geet has given up so easily…

Dadi: dadi se bhi baat nahi kar sakti?

Geet: aaise koi baat nahi hai

Dadi: hum iss kamrein mein band hai toh iska matlab ye nahi ki humme patha nahi ki iss kamrein ke bahar kya ho raha hai? Hum bhi Maan ki dadi hai beta, hum sab jaanthe hai

Geet breaks down….

Geet: mujhse kuch nahi ho sakta Dadima

Dadi: nahi bete, aap haar nahi maan sakte itne jaldhi

Geet: Woh nahi chahte hai ki mein yahan rahoon

Dadi: Maan ko kudh hi patha nahi ki woh kya chahte hai,. Yahi unki bahut badi kami hai beta

Geet: nahi dadi, Woh chahte hai ki mein unko chodke chale jaoon

Dadi: aaisa koi baat nahi hai beta, humme pura yakheen hai ki Maan bhi aap ko bahut chahte hai

Geet: mujhe bhi aaise hi laga tha, par woh manthe hi nahi hai

Dadi: hummare paas ek idea hai unke dil ki baat ko jaan ne ke liye

Geet: dadi, aap kya keh rahe hai?

Dadi: yahi hummari aakhri astar hai, brahmastra, isse patha chale jayega ki Maan sach mein aap ko pasand karte hai ya nahi

Geet: aaise kya hai?

Dadi explains her plan to Geet, it’s too filmy…

But dadi is ready to even hire a bollywood director to get back her potha’s happiness…

Next day Geet deliberately goes and picks up a fight with Maan…

Geet: aap ko kya lagtha? Mein iss Dev ke six pack ko dekh kar uske peeche bhaag jaathi?

Maan: tumme kya ho gaya Geet? Tum aaise kyun baat kar rahi ho?

Geet: aap pehle mere sawaal ka jawab do

Maan: I can’t answer your silly questions

Geet: why did you ask Dev to come and workout with you?

Maan: I didn’t

Geet: you knew I’ll be there

Maan: what nonsense?

Geet: do you think I’m in love with your six packs?

Maan doesn’t understand a word…

When did he say anything like that?

Geet becomes serious… she really wants to know what Maan thinks about her…

Geet: you still think that I’m an immature teenager, haina?

Maan: what are you talking about Geet?

Geet: I know, you think I’m not capable of taking care of your life

Geet: but I know, you think I’m yet in my playful years

Maan had no clue that she has studied him so well…

Maan: stop it Geet, just stop this rubbish

Geet: I told you that it’s only my imagination, then why does it bother you so much? Tell me Maan, don’t you love me?

Maan looks at her puzzled…

At the Handa home….

Preetho gets Geet ready for the suhaag raat…

Maan wants to go back to the Khurana home….

He thought they will be going to their home eventually…

He was looking forward to the vidaai so patiently…

Dadima has left after the wedding itself as she wanted to take rest….

Now what these people are upto keeping him waiting here till now….

After dinner Maan loses his patience…

Geet is playing hide and seek with him right after the wedding… so she has now forgot about him totally because her wish is fulfilled, she got married as she wished…

Geet is avoiding any chance of being with him alone… she is scared that he is really angry with her…

Maan has seen Geet using Preetho as her shield, she was with Geet all day…. .

Maan finds Preetho coming down finally…. .he quickly goes to her and stops her ..

Preetho is all the more scared…

Maan: Geet kahan hai?

Preetho is not happy with his tone, he sounds irritated…

Preetho remains silent…

She remembers Ranno telling her that the auspicious time is after 9 pm only…

Maan is tired of waiting.. he can’t hold himself anymore??

Poor Preetho thinks that Maan is waiting for the next and final ritual which completes the wedding ceremonies actually…

Preetho is embarrassed…

Preetho: abhi 9 baje nahi hui

She says as she moves towards the kitchen…

Maan thinks that the time of the vidaai must be 9 pm…

Just 15 minutes left…

Maan keeps looking at the time…

Rajji comes at 9….

Rajji: didi upar hai

Maan is confused… why is she waiting? They are already late… ab kya naya tamasha hone wala hai?

Maan would be happy if she wants to stay here for some more time… Hope she understands him once… she knows very well that Maan is not ready for this…

Maan stands there not realizing what is happening around him…

Rajji giggles… Geet didi kab se appka intezar kar rahi hai

Maan clearly understands what’s waiting for him upstairs looking at Rajji blushing….

Maan didn’t realize that there is the SR… it’s just not the usual wedding and he was certainly not prepared for this…

Maan goes up and knocks…

Geet expects Preetho with more advice… she has lost her patience… she is already worried about confronting Maan and her family is madly after her, unaware of her problem, trying her patience…

Geet: chale jao babhi, mera mood bahut karab hai

Maan is surprised that she is still upset after her wishes are fulfilled….

Maan only has the sole right to be upset about the wedding… haina?

Maan gets angry, what else does she want?

Maan slams open the door and gets in angrier…

He expected Geet to be waiting for him on the bed…

But Geet is not there, what is going on here? Only Geet knows…

Maan: Geeeeet

Geet panics hearing Maan’s angry tone…

Geet: Maaaan?

Geet is sitting on the floor and packing her things…

She gets up in a hurry hearing Maan’s voice….

She hits her head on the open drawer….

Maan turns to towards Geet and finds Geet in pain… she tires to move away from the cupboards and is about to fall when Maan catches hold of her…

Maan holds her in his arms…

Geet is scared of his anger, she knows that she has betrayed him and he won’t be so happy with the sudden wedding….

Geet tries not to look at him directly for fear of facing his wrath…

Maan is worried that she is hurt… he looks into her eyes and knows that she is in real pain…

Maan gets angry for her to be so careless…

Maan: what’s wrong with you Geet? Have you gone blind because of all this drama?

Maan hints at the decoration of the room..

Geet can only see that his concern is bigger than his anger…

Geet keeps looking into his eyes and is trying to find what is really troubling him, why is he not happy with the marriage? she can see his love and care hiding behind his anger….

He is not unhappy because of their marriage….

But he is only happy to marry Geet….

After that conversation, Maan too is not ready to wait to marry Geet and make her his forever….

Maan’s problem is not Geet, actually he is his own enemy….

He has entered this mess from which he is trying hard to get out, but it’s taking forever for him to get out of his problem, he can’t keep Geet waiting for that….

Geet on the other hand is desperate to help him somehow, she had to first become his wife so that she gets every right to fight alongside with him…

That’s why she agreed for this marriage….

Geet does know that Maan has got some problem…

She is aware of his plight, but she is helpless….

Maan is upset because of some strange reason which is bothering him… he is not ready to share it with her… she is ready to wait until he trusts her and shares his problems with her…

But she is not ready to let him suffer alone, she wants to be there for him anytime, when he feels alone and needs someone to hold his back badly… she wants to assure him that she is here to share his responsibility, as a friend, as a wife and most importantly as a parent…

Maan makes her sit on the bed and looks at her head…

Maan: bahut dard ho raha hai kya?

Geet is overwhelmed by his concern and how has forgotten about everything as soon as he realized that she is hurt….

Geet keeps staring him lovingly…

Maan: tum sach mein pagal ho Geet, tum neeche kya kar rahi thi?

Geet: woh mein

Maan looks at her things lying there…

Maan understands that she is getting ready to go with him…

Maan wanted to tell her that he wants her to stay back for a while until they can happily start their life together….

But now it seems pretty difficult to stop her…

Maan: ye tumne kya kiya hai Geet?

Geet remains silent…

Maan: meine tumme Kitna samjhaya ki abhi mein ye shadi nahi kar sakta? Phir tumne aaisa kyun kiya Geet, jawab do Geet

Maan looks at her in disbelief…

Geet doesn’t know how to make him understand her plight, how she has done this for she wants to share not only his joy but also his sorrows, that’s what they promise during the wedding vows… haina?

Maan: tumme itna bhi kya jaldi tha Geet? Agar tum thoda sa intezar bhi nahi kar pathi toh kissi aur se shadi karthi

Maan vents off his frustrations on the decorative flowers… he pulls them down and throws them away…

Geet is disappointed that Maan still doesn’t trust her to be a good friend or companion who could share his burdens, but thinks that she is an added burden…

Geet is very upset that Maan thinks that she married for her pleasure….

Geet gets angry and she too joins him in pulling down the flowers….

Geet: aapko jo bhi sochna hai toh sochlo, jaise aap mujhe uss waqt musibat mein chodke nahi jaa sakte the, waise hi mein bhi ab aapko aaise haal mein akhela nahi chod sakti, samjhe aap?

Geet goes back to her packing…

Maan sits on the bed dejected, angry with himself for being so mean to her, he himself is hurting her by trying to protect her from any pain…

If this is where her happiness is, then Maan is not going to snatch her happiness from her, he doesn’t have any right to curb her wishes owing to his own problems, it’s for him to deal with, as far as Geet is concerned, she is now his wife, and she has every right to take part in his life….

Maan keeps watching her do the packing and she is not worried about whatever just happened… she is determined…

For any other normal girl this is the wedding night and it’s supposed to be one of her memorable moments that she had dreamt about… but for Geet, it is nothing less than a nightmare just because she is married to the one and only unfortunate MSK…

Maan knows that everything is not ok with this wedding but he is helpless, that’s why he wanted to postpone the marriage…

He can’t pretend to be happy for the sake of it, he can’t fake anything with Geet, he wants to be able to give himself as a whole, she deserves his unconditional love and he is not ready to compromise with that, either he should be able to be honest with her and tell her the whole truth or he could not take this relationship to the next level until he can solve the problems….

It’s not that he wants to hide anything from Geet or he doesn’t have the courage to tell the truth, it’s only that he wants to keep her away from his problems and is scared of Geet being unnecessarily entangled in this mess… he wants to protect her from his past and give her the life she deserves… not the one where he himself is not happy…
