After travelling a long distance from UK to Mumbai Airport to his house, finally his car halted at it's destination. "Sir, we have reached." The driver said to him when he looked his side way to get the view of his house. He removed his goggle from his eyes while remembering his happy moments with his family, it was long two years, he didn't visit them, he missed them badly but his smile faded away remembering Geet.

"Why am I suddenly thinking about that girl after two years?" He cursed himself for remembering her. "She meant nothing for me. I was forced into this marriage and even she was.. And I think, she must be left by now, after all who would wait for someone for such a long period." He sighed.

Hearing the knock on the window glass, he came back to his sense and gets down from the car. "Sir, I have dropped your luggage down and have asked servant to them inside." The driver informed. Giving a nod to the driver, he looked on.

"Stop thinking rubbish Maan. You came to attend Anwesha's wedding. Once the wedding gets over, you will return to your place. I don't care about her presence or absence." He set his mind and put his goggle on.

"Maan...!!" Gayatri ran to him excited once he gets inside the house.

"Mom.." He was going to hug her but Gayatri stopped him saying, "Don't call me mom.." Maan looked at her as he knew he won't be welcome nicely for his behavior towards Geet. "You didn't miss us in these years that you never came to us, never even called us. Whenever I called you, you just let us know about your well being and disconnected the call."

"Mom.. You know..." Maan was going to say something but he was cut off by Gayatri, "Yeah..! Don't give us your lame excuses about your work." As Gayatri was talking with him normally, he wondered, "Doesn't they know anything?" But keeping his thoughts away, he behaved normally.

"Mom... I came after two years and will you welcome me like this?" He pouted and being a mother, how can be she angry on him.. She melted instantly and hugged him.

"Bhaiyaaa..." Excited Prateek ran to him and almost jumped on him for a hug.

"Wohh.. Careful Prateek." Maan hissed while balancing on himself, they have a tight hug.

"Bhaiya, you don't know how much we four missed you." Prateek said parting from him.

Maan smiled but hearing ' four ' he looked at his brother confused. "Four..? Oh..! You three and dadi." Maan knew how much his brothers and sister can miss him.

"No bhaiya.. Not dadi.." Maan widened his eyes as this can't happen that his dadi didn't miss him. "Tch.. I mean, dadi missed you but I am not talking about dadi."

"Then?" He asked confuse.

"Oho bhaiya.. Bhabhi..!" he exclaimed.

Maan taken a back. "Bha.. Bhabhi..? Is she here?" He asked disappoint.

"Oh God.. What type of silly question is it..? Of course she is here, where will she go?" Gayatri chuckled seeing her son's reaction.

"No.. I thought.." Maan wondered what to say as by now he was sure that no one knows about his reason to leave and she didn't tell them anything yet..!!

"What do you thought bhai?" Hearing Dev's voice, he looked at him smiling.

"Hey Dev..." Maan ran to him for a hug and they hugged. "Dev.. How are you..?" Maan asked parting from him.

"I'm fine bhai. But what about you? Is your work precious than your wife that you left her on the very next day?" Dev's seriousness takes everyone's attention.

"Dev, you know, Maan always gives his first priority to his work." Pratap, Maan's father said.

"I know dad, but if it was so important, he could take Geet with him, isn't bhai?" As Dev flicked his eye at his brother, Maan was standing silent and he was pretty sure that Dev knew something.

"Bhai?" Dev shook him seeing lost Maan.

"Huhh.. Yeah..!" He composed himself. "Dev, you know.. Work is my first priority always and.." He searched for explanation to give. "... And Geet wanted me to go.. I asked her to go with me but she denied." He lied. He wanted to tell them the truth but as it was his sister's wedding, he doesn't want to make any problem during his wedding.

"Really bhai?" He sarcastically asked as well as shocked to hear a lie from him but he controlled himself saying, "Because as far I know, Geet didn't even know where did you leave for work." His reply made Maan nervous, he was searching for words but thankfully dadi came there.

"Maan..?"

"Dadi.." He smiled seeing her and excused. He took blessing from her. He met with rest of the family members.

"Bhai you met with everyone except Geet. Aren't you want to meet her?" As Dev said, Maan sighed that his brother is behind him only. To avoid her, he left two years back, he was away from his family but again destiny bring her in front of him.

"Yes.. I will.." He said taking a deep breath before confronting her.

"After yor left, Geet took the responsibility of this house. She helped your dad and chotey papa in business as well as she fulfilled every responsibility being a daughter-in-law." As Kavita said, Maan was quite impressed hearing so much compliment about her.

"There she is coming." Prateek said.

Maan had least interest to see her but he has to.. Else family will get suspicious about their relation and doesn't let them know until Anwesha gets married.

"Adi.. Before giving them the notice, arrange a proper place where the slum dwellers can shift. Do you get me..?"

Maan heard her voice and without turning at her, he could sense a change in her.. The way she is talking, wasn't her way.. She used to talk in weird languages which always goes over his head. But now she was talking exactly in the way, he could feel the seriousness in her voice, Maan always wanted to to see some seriousness in her but she was so carefree, fun loving girl.

"Geet bhabhi, come.." Prateek said when Geet smiled and excused from Aditya.

Geet knew about Maan's arrival, so on her way, she was getting nervous. Her heart was beating so fast. She was playing with her knuckles while giving a nervous look to Dev who just assured her with a smile.

"See.. Bhaiya came." Prateek said happily, Geet looked at him who was facing his back to her.

"Bhai.." Dev indicated him to turn as Geet was standing behind him and impatiently waiting to get a glimpse of him.

Nodding at Dev, Maan turned and gets dumbstruck seeing a different Geet who was giving him a sweet smile. Maan's eyes almost popped out seeing a modern Geet, he checked her out from toe to head.

"Hi.." She walked to him forwarding her hand for a shake but Maan was still lost in her. He couldn't believe in his eyes that Gert whom he left and this Geet with whom he met today is actually the same girl.

"Maan bhai.." Dev shook him bringing him back to the world.

"Yeah..?"

"Geet.." Dev said eyeing at her.

Maan again turned at her but didn't make an eye contact with her. "Hi.." He said pretending like he was least interested.

"What hi..? You both husband-wife, at least welcome him with a hug, Geet." Kavita chuckled making both of them embarrassed. "I have to make an important call. I just..." Giving them a excuse, he immediately left the place, while everyone smiled seeing him shying.

"Argh.. Here also he couldn't keep himself away from work." Gayatri said upset and everyone left for their respective works except Gert and Dev.

As soon as Maan left the place, Geet's face dropped in sadness as she expected at least a nice behavior from him. But his mind didn't change at all. Geet's eyes filled with tears when Dev came to her. "See Dev.. He didn't give a look on me, I told you. I changed myself from him but he doesn't care."

"No Geet.. He noticed you. I know my brother. I have seen him, a guilt worked on him. Guilt.. That he left a girl like you." Dev said smiling.

"But didn't you see, he didn't say hi to me properly and left as if I don't matter to him." She said and couldn't control her tears which flow down from her eyes.

"You know him Geet. He has a ego which is longer than his own height." He chuckled. "Your presence will effect him but he won't accept it. He will behave with you harshly but at the same time he will be the reason of your smile. Just give him time and don't loose your hope. Okay..?" He said wiping her tears.

"You know, hearing all this from you, I really feel so confident." She smiled.

"Being the younger one, I am doing all this. Is it my age to do all this?" Chanting this, Prateek was passing by their when Geet and Dev saw him. "Dramabaaz." Dev chuckled.

"Oye.. What happened? Why are you roaming around being a cry baby?" Dev teased him while stopping him on his way.

"First of all, I'm not cry baby, so don't call me that." Prateek warned. "And secondly, I'm the only responsible person of this house. Not like others who keep ordering his younger brother." He said proudly while rolling his eyes at Dev.

"Really?" Dev sarcastically said. "Like how?"

"I'm going to fix the pipeline." Prateek stated making both Dev and Geet shocked.

"WHAT..!!" They screamed in unison.

"Why are you so shocked? I'm just going to bring the plumber. he will fix it only but as I'm bringing him, so the credit will go to me. As if I won't bring him, then the pipeline will not get fix and you all can't use bathroom." Prateek said giving them his stupid logic while Dev and Geet just kept looking at his stupidity with a giggle

"You know Prateek, your name should be..." But before Dev said, Prateek said, "I know.. Intelligent Singh Khurana."

"NO.. Dumb Singh Khurana." Dev said hitting on his head when Prateek wondered what wrong he said..! "Anyways.. Just make a call to that plumber fast."

"Dev.. I'm not dumb.." He pouted. "Do you think, I would go to bring to him if he would receive my calls?"

"Ohh.. Again that plumber is showing nakhre-noor-jahaan.." Geet angrily said when Dev just chuckled, while Prateek trying to pronounce the language.

"Nakhre.. What.." Prateek asked confuse.

"She means attitude." Dev said chuckling.

"Bhabhi, you should keep a dictionary with you." Prateek suggested.

"But, it's right, without her odd languages, she won't look like Geet." Dev added.

"Stop it guys.. Prateek you go... Else Maan can't get freshen.." As Geet took Maan's name, Prateek teased her, "Yeah.. Yeah.. Now your husband came, now you won't remember us."

"SHUT UP PRATEEK.." Both Dev and Geet yelled at him.

"Go.." Dev ordered him.

"Yes going. Huhh...!" Making face at them, he turned to leave but again turned at Geet saying, "Bhabhi, go and inform your Maan, not to get inside the washroom until the plumber fix the pipeline. We all know how hygienic your Maan is.. Dekhne ko mila hygienic hone ke chakkar mein washroom gaye aur pani na mile.. then he will put this entire mansion on his head." Prateek chuckled and left.

"Yes, he was right. Go.." Dev also took his brother's side while Geet was in dilemma.

"But me Dev.." She hesitated.

"If you won't go to him, how will you get to know about his reaction..? Go and behave normally. Okay?" Dev insisted her when Geet nodded and left from there.

After finishing his call at UK company, he walked in his room and dumbstruck seeing the room. He looked around and finds his room same as before, each and every single things are kept on it's place. He walked to the shelf where he kept his business awards. Maan took one of the award in his hand and admired it, it's shine hasn't gone yet as if they were under look-over always. Relishing everything, Maan remembered Geet's face. He remembered how confidently she met with him in the hall but he acted like a stupid. "How can someone change so much..!" He wondered.

"But why am I caring..?" He pushed his thoughts.

Maan walked to another side of the room and admiring the things when Geet came there, but seeing him so much excited into his own world, she didn't walked it and hide near the door. She was adoring him silently, after all she is seeing him after a long time.

Geeli zameen pe dhoop bikhar gayi..
Din chadha kab utar gayi..
Aur karoon main kitna intezaar tera..
Zard fazayein chhu ke guzar gayi..

Hearing a beep in her phone, she came back from her dream land. "Go Geet." She saw Dev's message. Geet scanned the place and saw Dev was standing at a far and indicating her to get in the room. Taking a deep breath, she gets inside the room.

Maan was adoring his things which he left two years back when suddenly he heard her saying, "I told you, when you will return, you will find everything same as before which you left."

He placed the thing on it's place and looked his side way and take a glance on her replying, "I thought you would have left the house by now."

"My old shoes will leave this house." She walked in hurried and stood opposite to him. "This is my house."

He gave her a look arching his one eye brow as he didn't expected this reaction from her, she used to be a different girl before who acted dumb always whenever she saw Maan. Getting the attitude from him, she too gave him the same attitude taking one step towards him. Under her gaze, he felt something infused in his heart, he moved his eyes from her asking, "What are you still doing here?"

"Your wait." She replied instant looking into his eyes.

"Excuse me??" Maan looked at her eyes and gets lost in them. He found her eyes attractive which were craving for love, which were waited for him to see. Maan could feel the pain which she was holding in her heart from long time. Other side, Geet was on cloud feeling his gaze on her, how she was wanting him to notice her all this years and finally this is happening with her, she was feeling goosebumps inside her stomach, she wanted to stop the time right here but at the same time she knew she has to learn him a lesson, so she moved her eyes from him. Maan also cursed himself for getting lost in her.

There was a awkward silence in between them when finally Geet spoke turning her back to him as she knew if she kept looking at him, she would lost her talking strength anytime soon, "I know you weren't expecting me here but I was really waiting for you Maan." Maan again looked at her, he felt an unknown happiness inside him when Geet said that, his lips automatically curved in a slight smile, but he didn't know the reason.

Maan returns only for Anweshas wedding and he is sure Geet won't be there. I reiterate he is jerk of a husband. Dev is right in saying his ego is bigger than his height.

He is impressed by seeing Geet but won't acknowledge as he is an ass.

I want Geet to ignore him. He should realize what he rejected.
