Dear Diary

Guess what???

GUESS WHAT???

GUESS WHATTT???

I met Him!!!!

You ask who?

I met MAAN KHURANA!!!

Oh.My.God.

I still can't believe out of all the places in the world I'd see him here. You remember him right? There was a time when I used to fill you with talks of him!

You don't remember?

Uff.

Let me tell you. (as if I'd mind writing about him all over again! LOL)

So yeah, Maan Khurana. My Super senior in college. I had seen him for the first time on the first day of my college, guiding us newbies to settle down and showing us around the college. I remember well, it was some time around July and it was an awfully humid day. We were all sweating; dressed in new clothes and in the anticipation of the first day.

Anyways, so he was there with his friends and coordinating the entire process perhaps. I liked his way. He was so cool (and he still is)...I was totally awed. I loved how he helped a guy to calm down when he had a breakdown when other seniors pulled had his leg. But that happens in college, right? Ragging and all those stuffs. But yeah, that day I was impressed.

It is Saurav's birthday today. He had a sullen face when he had come. Upon asking, he said he just missed his parents because he had never celebrated his birthday without them. This was the first. Somewhere, we all felt him. So, we decided to give him a surprise in the evening. When he was busy with some work, some of us sneaked out, bought a nice vanilla cake and waited for him in the cafeteria. To say he was surprised see this is just an understatement. That smile of his face was amazing I tell you.

He cut the cake and we took loads of pics up until the moment Neha swiped the cream on her fingers and wiped it on his face. And that was the first and the last straw. Everyone forgot everything and jumped at each other. People looked at us in disbelief but we could care less. We had fun.

I washed my hands and face and rushed to drink water when I ran into Maan.
I quickly said a sorry but then when I saw his face, I was totally surprised. He was here, in this place, in this city!!!

Wow. What can be better than this?

I saw him opening his mouth to say something but Neha pulled me away saying we were getting late.

Does he remember me?

I think not. I was such an insignificant person in the college.

But anyways, am happy.

I am going to call up my besties and tell them what happened today. They'd be so excited.

p.s more on Maan Khurana will be in the next.

p.p.s I recall my entries about him from my college days. Do you think I had a
crush on him?

p.p.p.s I think not.

Happy,

-Geet.

I hate weekends.

There is nothing wrong with the days but everything is wrong about the days. Weekends are laundry days. Weekends are no-cook days. Weekends are when you don't have anything to do' days. It is surprising that we have nothing to do this weekend except laundry, grocery, cleaning and cooking. Sometimes I wish I'd have rented a PG rather than a flat that too 2BHK. What had gotten into my head when I fell into Pawan's trap of getting us a flat?

The day has been busier than my weekdays. Did the laundry and we cleaned the flat. The cook is on leave and we are surviving on Maggi and everything that has a prefix called instant'. It is Pawan's day of doing the grocery and that scum bag runs from responsibilities as if it were a plague. And because he is out now, I have time to sit and tap my tab here. Some friends are coming over tonight. Scratch friends'. Some colleagues'. So Saturday night is going to be all booze and party. We may hit a pub or something. Let's see what they decide. I'd rather prefer going on a trip or sightseeing. I am going to plan it with Pawan next weekend. Speaking of which, that idiot is awfully late. I mean who takes so long when the department store is right 5 minutes away from the flat and he has the list of things to buy?

Should I be worried?

Nah! That lazy guy deserves whatever shit he has gotten himself into.

Its only times like these that I miss home cooked food. The cook is this old man, probably in his 50s who is pretty decent but he just does things his way. My palette still hasn't been accustomed to his food. I had been in hostels for years now, had a job before my masters and somehow I could manage but this guy...I don't know. He just adds too much tamarind and whatever that spice it into everything. I had told him quite a few times, he says he'd change but then he goes back to the same old thing. We don't want to lose this guy. He is a very good man.

I think I should really go and check on Pawan.

-Maan.

Dear Diary,

I like this new life. Its been a month since I have been here and I am doing well as of now. Mom keeps asking me whether I am eating well or not and that if everything is good at work and I say yes to everything. There is nothing wrong as of now. I am exploring. I am meeting people. I am learning so many perspectives. I have got amazing friends. What more could I ask of?

Office is going smooth. They are giving us small portions of the work and keeping a tab on our performances. I think they are going to decide on our departments based on this. I hope I do well.

Last weekend I had been out with my roommates and gang from the office to the amusement park. It was so much fun. I tell you diary, that was the biggest amusement park I have ever seen and they had everything. I rode on almost every ride but the best one was that giant roller coaster. One of my roommates Sasha, she puked the moment we got down.

Gross.

But she was dizzy with all the rides. We got back late evening and we were so exhausted that we didn't even have energy to have dinner. We just crashed and kept sleeping the next day. I wish to go back there once again.

Ohh, by the way, you remember that nerdy guy from my team?

Guess what, I got to know his name.

His name is Pawan. Pawan Mishra.

Age: 26

Height: 5'9

Status: Single

Facebook Friend Request: Sent but not accepted yet.

Okay, I know my stalking skills are embarrassing but I just couldn't help it. He is so cute. I just have a smile whenever I see him. He has a good rapport with everyone around and people love him. Neha has a serious crush on him I guess but that is exactly why I got so much details about him.

It feels so funny! You see a cute guy and behave like a love-sick teen. Gosh, we aren't teens anymore. But this is fun. You know stalking cute guys and chatting with them and all that jazz. I wish he accepts my friend request, which reminds me, I am not friends with Maan Khurana. I mean most of my college friends are but I am not that much into social media.

Let me just log in and check with Pawan. I might send Maan a friend request too.

Diary, is this right?

Am I being pushy?

Thinking,

-Geet.

Geet Handa sent you a Friend Request.

Huh???

Isn't she the same girl who I had seen in cafeteria? She seems familiar and from her reaction I think she knows me. So yeah I went and checked her profile.

And I remember now, vaguely though. She is one of my juniors back in degree college. So, that is how this is!!! I checked her bio and she has started working since the last month in this company.

Nice.

I accepted her request a few minutes back. There is no reason why should I not.
She has posted some pictures with her friends in the City Amusement Park and a few places she had dined out. I scrolled down her feed not because I was interested but because I have nothing else to do. Pawan is watching something on Netflix and he hates being disturbed.

The week had been slow and it's another weekend in the next two days and Pawan and I are going on a road trip to the nearest hill station. That is a good getaway.
The last time, we had been to a pub on the weekend and that was cool except the fact that people drank crazily to lose their semblance. I don't like that kind of drunkenness where you have no sense of your own being.

-Maan.
