TWO WEEKS LATER
Two weeks has passed since Parvati returned from Mumbai. But in these two weeks, Parvati started doing her self analysis. Since, Rudrasen had come in her life, Parvati had calmed a lot and was continously thinking of Maan. No matter how much she tried not to think about Maan but some how or the other it was not possible. She hated Maan's guts, arrogance, dominating and "what I want I will get attitude. But she also knows that it was he, Maan Singh Khurana or Maharaj of Naaglok, Maharaj Bhujang who saved from her from that brown evil python. Because, Parvati had gained consciousness for few seconds when Maan had picked up Parvati in his arms. She was in this delima when her mobile rang. As she was in deep thoughts and she answered without looking at phone screen. She was brought out of her trance by an annoying voice, "Hello sweetheart, counting days for our coming together.
"Hello, who is this?
"Jaan ke bhi anjaan banne ka naatak kar rahi ho jaan, toh yeh hi sahi. Mai Maan Singh Khuranabol raha hoon. Do hafton mein tumhara hone wala pati. (You know who it is but you still want to do drama of ignorance, sweetheart? Fine I'm Maan Singh Khurana speaking. Who will be your husband within two weeks.)
"Hum marr jaayenge par aapse vivaah kadapi nahi karenge! (I will die but will never marry you!) Parvati said in anger and slammed the phone down. Parvati's anger which had calmed due to Rudra, rose to surface again.
Hearing Parvati's angry voice, Sumitra came rushing into the room. "Paro, kya hua? (What happened Paro?)
"Kuch nahi Maa. Ek badtameez, ghammadi aur gussail insaan ko sabak seekhna hai. (Nothing much Maa. I have to teach a lesson to rude, arrogant and short- tempered person.) Parvati said with anger rising within her.
"Sabak baad mein sikhana. Pehli meri baat sunno. Tumhare liye ek rishta aaya hai. (Teach him a lesson later. First listen to me. One marriage proposal has come for you.)
"RISHTA?? (MARRIAGE PROPOSAL??)
"Haan. Rana Rudrasen Rathore, ne tumhare liye vivaah prastaav bheja hai. (Yes. Rana Rudrasen Rathore has sent a marriage proposal has for you.)
"Rana Rudrasen Rathore? Kintu... (Rana Rudrasen Rathore? But...)
"Koi kintu-parantu nahi. Tumhare Bauji aur hummei Rudra (ladka) bahut pasand hai. Jaanti hoon ki tum dono ki umar mein bees saal ka antar hai. Magar tumhari bachkaani harqaton ke liye ek samajhdaar aur suljha hua ladka hi sahi hai. (No ifs and buts. Your father and I like Rudrasen a lot. I know there is an age gap of twenty years between you both. But you need a calm and mature man to guide your immature and child like behaviour.)
Parvati was about to refuse when, Maharaj Bhujang's challenge echoed in her ears, "Yadi humne aapko, Parvati Kalika Chauhan agle teen mahino ke andar apni dharampatni nahi bannaya toh hum Naaglok ke Maharaj ki rajgaddi tyaag denge. (If I don't make you, Parvati Kalika Chauhan my lawfully wedded wife within next three months, then I will give up the throne of Naaglok.) Although Parvati was not scared of Maharaj Bhujang's challenge but she did not want to take any chances hence said to Sumitra, "Hum Ranaji se iss vishaye mein akele mein vartalaap karna chahte hain aur uske pashchaat apna nirnaye battayenge! (Before I take a decision regards my marriage, I want to meet Mr. Rathore in privacy.)
"Theek hai mai tumhare Bauji ko batta doongi. (Alright. I'll inform your father.)
Next day Parvati Kalika Chauhan and Rana Rudrasen Rathore met in privacy at Kailash Sadan. Once both were seated, Parvati said, "Maa keh rahi thee ki Ranaji, aapne humare liye vivaah prastaav bheja thaa. Kya yeh satye hai? (Mr. Rathore, my mother was telling me that you have sent a marriage proposal for me?)
"Ji haan. Hum aapse vivaah karna chahte hain. (Yes. I want to marry you.)
"Ranaji, aap ameer hain, dekhne mein aakarshak hain evam purusharthi bhi hain. Aapse toh aneko yuvatiyaan vivaah karne ke kiye uttsukh hongi. Aapne hummein hi kyun chunna? (Mr. Rathore, you are rich, good looking and a self made man. You must be having girls falling all over to marry you. Why have you sent marriage proposal for me?)
"Kyunki hummein aapka bholapan aur saadagi pasand hai. Hum aapse prem karte hain. (I like your simplicity and innocence. I have fallen in love with you.)
"Ranaji, kshama kijiyega. Aaj kal ke jeevan mein prem karna saral hai kintu nibhana kathin. Hum aapko sujhaav denge ki aap kissi aisi ladki se vivaah kar lijiye jo aapke liye anukool ho hasiyat, umar evam samajhik vyovahaar mein. (Mr. Rathore, I apologise for being rude but in today's time its easier to fall in love but very difficult to stand by one's beloved. Please take my advice and get married to a young girl according to your economic and social status.)
"Parvati, aap dekh sakteen hain ki humari umar zyada hai aapke liye evam iss vivaah ke liye. Aapne jo bhi visheshtayein battayeen hain jo ek patni mein hona avashiyak hai, hummein smaran hain. Kintu hummein woh sab visheshtayen kewal aap mein hi nazar aateen hain. Yadi aap humse vivaah nahi karna chahteen toh theek hai kintu hum kissi aur kanya se vivaah nahi karenge! (Parvati, you know I'm over age for you as well as marriage. All the qualities of a wife that you have reiterated, I only find in you. However, if you don't want to marry me I will understand. But I'm not going to marry any other girl except you.)
"Ranaji, aap bahut hi sajjan purush hain. Hum yeh baat iss liye nahi keh rahe ki aap rajgharane se hain aur hum samaan gharane ke. Aap humse umar, vyovahaar, tajurbe evam samaajhik roop se har tehre se humse shreshtha hain. Hum iss liye keh rahe hain kyunki aapka dil aapke roop se atyadhik sundar hai. Iss kaaran se hum aapko ek satye se avgat karana chahte hain.(Mr. Rathore, you are a true gentleman. I'm not just saying this to please you as you have royal blood in your veins and I'm a commoner. You are greater than me in all respects i.e. age, behaviour, experience as well as social graces. More than anything else your heart is more beautiful than your outward appearance. Hence, I would like to make you aware of a truth.)
"Kaisa satye? (Which truth?)
"Hum kewal ek hi purush se prem karte the, karte hain evam kar sakte hain. Hum unse pichle janam mein prem karte the aur veh humare pati bhi the. Hummei gyaat hai ki aap Naaglok ke waasi hain aur aapko humari baatein samjh mei aa rahi hongi jo manushiyon ko nahi aati hain. Pichle janam mein hum Rajkumari Durgeshwari Singhania the aur humare pati aur humara pyaar Maharaj Bhujang athva Naaglok ke Maharaj the. Manushiyon ke madhiye woh Maan Singh Khurana bann kar rehte hain. (I use to love, I love and will only love one person. He was my husband as well as my love in my previous life. I know you are a creature of Naaglok so you will comprehend what I'm trying to say which a human will not. In my previous life I was Princess Durgeshwari Singhania and my husband and my love was King Bhujang or King of Naaglok. Among humans he stays as Maan Singh Khurana.)
"Kintu, usse humare vivaah mein kya pareshaani hai? (But, how does it effect our marriage?)
"Kya aap poorn jeevan yeh jaan kar reh paayenge ki aapki patni aap se nahi magar kissi aur gair purush se prem karti hain? (Will you be able to live knowing that your wife doesn't love you but is in love with some other man?)
"Parvati, jab aapka janam badla hai toh aapke rishte bhi badal gaye hain. Iss liye hummein aapke pichle janam se koi sarokaar nahi aur hum aapse phir bhi vivaah karna chahte hain. (Parvati, you have a new birth now and hence new relations. I don't have any need to look into your previous birth. Despite of knowing the truth, I still want to marry you.)
"Kintu Ranaji, aisa prem-rahit vivaah aapko bahut kasht dega. (But Mr. Rathore, a marriage without love will be very torturous for you.)
"Hummei woh kasht manzoor hai kintu aapke virah mein jeena manzoor nahi. (I'm willing to bear that torture. But I can't bear the agony of being seperated from you.)
"Theek hai yadi aapko yeh peedha aur akelepan poorn jeevan sehna manzoor hai, toh hum yeh vivaah karne ke liye tyaar hain. (Alright if you are willing to bear this pain and loneliness all your life, then I agree for this marriage.)
Chauhans were overjoyed hearing Parvati's acceptance of Rudrasen's marriage proposal. Before Parvati could change her mind they fixed her marriage date as soon as possible i.e. within a week of Parvati's agreeing. Next day Rudrasen came to Rajveer Chauhan and said, "Bauji humara parivaar toh raha nahi. Iss liye agar aap sahi samjhe to kya hum apni door ki chachiji, Rajmata Vijayalakshmi Rathore aur unke parivaar ko apna parivaar aur apni baraat banna kar le aayen? (Father, I have no blood related family alive. Hence, if you are agreeable, can I invite my distant Aunt, Queen Mother Vijayalakshmi Rathore and her family to substitute for my family?)
"Haan beta kyun nahi? Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? (Off course son. You don't need my permission for this.)
A week later, Parvati Kalika Chauhan and Rana Rudrasen Rathore got married in a private and simple ceremony with immediate family of just Parvati and Rudra attending. There were Raizadas, Royal Singh family, Royal Rathore family and Chauhans. As soon as everyone was present, Purohitji(priest) chanted few mantras (verses) and all humans i.e. Raizadas and Chauhans went to sleep. Once all humans were asleep all individuals from naag yoni' transformed into semi human and semi snake form and then the ceremony started. When Parvati sat near the bridegroom she felt a familiar as well as unfamiliar smell. After few ceremonies and chanting of mantras, Purohit Ram Prasad Mishra(transformed into semi human and semi snake form) stated"Abb Var-Vadhu ek dusare par apni chaap (impression) chodhein! (Now bride and bridegroom please leave their impressions on each other.) First Rana Rudrasen Rathore came and lightly pressed his fangs on Parvati Kalika Chauhan's left side of her slender milky white neck without releasing his poison and same thing was done by Parvati Kalika Chauhan but she pressed her fangs on the right side of Rana Rudrasen Rathore's neck without releasing her poison. Parvati was so tense and perturbed with this marriage that she did not notice another pair of fangs marks very near her own. Once Purohit Ram Prasad Mishra, Royal Singh family and Royal Rathore family could see fangs impression on both Parvati Kalika Chauhan and Rana Rudrasen Rathore's necks, Purohit Ram Prasad Mishra announced,"AAJ SE NAAGLOK KE NEEYAMON KE ANUSAAR AAP DONO NAAG PATI PATNI HAIN !" (From today according to snake form's rites and rituals, I announce you husband and wife.) Once the naag yoni' wedding ceremony was officially over, Purohit Ram Prasad Mishra by his mantras woke up Raizadas and Chauhans.
Now, started the wedding ceremony according to human' form.
Rajveer and Sumitra Chauhan did Parvati's "kanya daan with tears over flowing from their eyes. They were remembering when Lord Mahadev had given them his "darshan (divine appearance) with a beautiful 15year old girl for 15 years of their intense penance and said, "Rajveer aur Sumitra, hum aap dono se atyanth prasann hain. Aapke bhagye mein santaan sukh nahi hai. Kintu aap dono ki peedha evam tapsaya dekh kar hum aapko yeh divye kanya dete hain aapki putri ke roop mein. Magar aapko ek chetawani bhi dete hain ki iske kabhi maan evam samaan ko thess matt pauhchayige varna yeh aapko humesha ke liye chodh kar chali jaayengi. Ek aur baat ki yeh aapki putri kewal inke vivaah hone tak hongi. (Rajveer and Sumitra, according to your horoscopes, you are not blessed with children. But seeing your pain and intense penance, I'm giving you this divine girl as you daughter. I will also warn you that never hurt her respect and self-respect otherwise she will leave you forever. Another thing she will remain your daughter only till she is married.)
"Prabhu, aapki daya se hum kritharth huye. (Lord, we are blessed with your compassion.) Rajveer said with folded hands.
"Bhagwan, hum inka naam kya rakhen? (What should we name her. O Holy One?)
"Inka naam hai Parvati Kalika hai.(Her name is Parvati Kalika.) Saying this Lord Mahadev disappeared.
When the bridegroom (Rudra) touched Parvati's hand during "kanya daan she felt strong electrical current.
Also there was a crack of thunder and lightening outside. But as majority of people present were human except bride, bridegroom, Royal Rathore family and Royal Singh family. Therefore, humans paid no attention to it. Rajkumari Kasturi (grand daughter of Rajmata Vijayalakshmi Rathore ) tied Parvati and Rudra's "gatbandhan
and Arnav did the kheel daan' for Parvati as her brother.
Once all pheras were done,
Parvati Kalika was made to sit on Rana Rudrasen Rathore's "Vamang" (left) side thereby becoming his "ardhangani"(his better half). Kasturi lifted Parvati's maang tikka and Rudrasen filled Parvati's 'maang' (parting) with sindoor
and tied mangalsutra in her neck.
"AAJ SE AAP PATI PATNI HAIN" Purohit Ram Prasad Mishra announced them to the human world as husband & wife.
The bridegroom could not lift his sehra till all ceremonies were over due to some family taboo in his family.
Hence, finally, Rudra and Parvati's wedding was over. Rudra was now asked by his family and his in-laws to uncover his face. Therefore, when the sehra was removed...
