3 months an update is not happening.. ppl tend to lose interest. pls try to update

Sorry for butting in but that seems to be the trend here in IF.

You're right. Its not worth writing for readers who do not comment. However YOU do not tell me what to comment and what not. As long as I have been giving feedback about updates which I regularly do, noone has an effin business to talk nonsense about me.

Ppl have time to make virtual friends here and chat with them on their ff threads, but not to update. I don't have time for that, I do not know your personal stories and problems. If you write a note abt a break, I wouldn't bother again. But that didn't happen.

If 'they' get offended for the slightest remark, they shouldn't be in this writing business. And they also need to stop acting like they own the forum. I could talk more about this but my manners do not allow me like "theirs" do.

Ps: I am done with this and I think I have wasted my time about someone I don't know and don't care 2 hoots about. They or their worthless comments about me are not worth it.

I repeat again, Do not write if you cannot satisfy a handful of readers. This is a small platform, you cannot get offended for everything. And also, those ppl need to mind their business. Like seriously.

Pss: Commelina, I apologize for this negativity on your thread, this is a first for me. May be I would get used to this from now.

Dear Friends,

Extreme Apologies for making you wait so long for updates and also for teasing you with teasers.

I realise I should not have started writing, when I don't have the flair for it.

Writing does not come naturally to me. There are a great many talented people who have a great command over the language, the art of story telling, I am not among them. Please note, I am not being humble or trying to fish for compliments. I speak only the truth.

For years, I had spent time reading stories here in the forum and then one evening I wanted to write something and decided to make a new account just to write stories because

1.I didn't want my writer/reader friends to read/comment on my stories just because they were my friends.

2. I just didn't want people to know I write so badly. It was an experimentation and I wanted it to be personal. Also I did not want to be judged.

The reason I tell you this is that I am someone like you. A reader turned to writer.

Before this I had no experience of writing.

If you have with me since the beginning of this journey, you'd know I have learnt a great deal by making mistakes, that I have not given the best updates everytime.

But I saw that you people accepted me as I was and liked/loved the story and it encouraged me to write better.

When Mrs.Benedict the other day told me that she'll read and comment on the chapters from the beginning, I thought about some badly written chapters sitting in the index and wondered what she'll have to tell about them. I have felt the same ever since I have written them.To be honest I didn't want her to read those chapters.

So in order to avoid such feelings, I try to write better chapters. And it takes time. Sometimes it takes just a day and sometimes a month.

You say that I have time to gossip in threads but not for updating.

First, gossip, I can and I will. I don't think anybody has a say in that.

Second, I update when I have the chapter ready. What am I suppose to do when I sit with a blank paper for hours.

I do not expect you to understand my personal stories. However this I wish you'd understand that writing is a hobby. I write when I can/feel. I don't when I have exams, I am travelling, I have fallen sick,when I can't force a word out of me.

About getting offended at the slightest remark, thinking that I own the forum etc I rather not talk about these things.

Time and again I have said this, I will repeat once again. If the following points doesn't suit your needs, please you can stop getting more involved with the story, I wouldn't mind. I know a few people who don't read my works because I update quite infrequently.

1. I am not a fast writer and I am not sure if it's going to change.

2. The pace of the story would remain slow.

3. Not much romance you'll find, at least in the first book, Book of Dreams.

I respect your sentiments, about your lack of time/ interest when you don't comment, I'd request you to respect mine.

Okay. So I'm done with your FF. For all the things I had said, by you I did not mean "YOU".

I do not stalk you for me to know what gossip you do or whom you talk to. It doesn't matter to me. When that person pointed out about my feedback being unworthy and etc, I meant it for ppl like him/her. Infected plant, unworthy, what nonsense is all that??? Who the hell is s/he to talk about me that way?

If its not for the readers whom do people here write for? It could be a hobby for you but you also need to realize that there are readers out there who develop an attachment to the characters and stories they like.

For one, I know I cannot write or take time out so I never attempted anything until now. Coz according to me, I should be able to do full justice to it once I start something. Its disappointing when the writers seem not so interested in updating after they start.

The so-called regularly encouraging people have hardly commented on any story, as far as I can see. I could see some very old unedited comments in your own FF which are still lying around with an 'R' or 'res'. They have the time to bitch about an unknown person in a thread they are remotelyyy related to but got no time to write 2 lines about an update they read. And they say they "loveee you and support you" !! Gotta be kidding me.

Atleast I make it a point to comment the moment I finish reading an update. But you know what, its all not worth it.

You must know that I was one of the first people to comment on your first writing as well. You might not remember now, pls go and check. This is how I am, straight-forward. I do not sugar-coat things. If I love it I compliment generously. If there is something bad I would say it albeit politely. But writers here do not want to hear anything negative at all(not YOU, again). If that is how it works for them they rather add a disclaimer at the beginning, stating stuff like - I will update slowly and at my will/ negative reviews not allowed, etc etc.

So the jist is, I don't wanna come back to this thread, coz I'd again see someone ranting about me, again take immense offense (Coz FlashNews - like you guys even I get very offended) and its all not worth it. Its disturbing when someone talks disrespectfully about me, and then have to again sit to reply. I'm spending a lot of time & emotion on this, which I don't need at this time. Just gonna have to force myself to not login and check your thread at any chance, coz this could go on.

So have fun, update when you want to.. I'm done. Let's cut it with this like mature adults. Peace. Tata.

I very well remember that you have been here with me since the beginning and I am thankful to you. And have always admired you for the support you have given me. And I am really sorry to know that you won't be reading this anymore.

I write for the readers and I value them and their opinion.But having said that, I cannot write under pressure.

I agree the readers get attached and then lose interest with the slow updates. Right now, my life is such I cannot do anything about it.
