In baabul, the scene which i liked the most is when after 6 long years, geet came out of the airport and was talking with rohit and soumya.
She met her mausa-maasi, started a new life, completed all her studies in the shortest possible time.
Became a successful architect and was handling projects with such ease and confidence.
Specially that line, when rohit said in the middle of the night, "Is maasoom ko ab itna mazboot banna hoga ki saari duniya is ke saam ne jhuk jaaye. Ab tak iski innocence mei isne is duniya ko apni zindagi se khelne diya, pehle brij, then that bas***d who left her alone. But ab, isse is duniya se sirf apne sawaalo ke jawaab hi nahi balki apna haq bhi maangna hoga."
Although i have written few words the way i remember reading, but i loved this part the most till now in baabul.
About kya tumhe haq hai, I liked the scene in aashi's bungalow when maan came to his senses and geet was teasing him regarding the night he was dead drunk.
Geet's taunts were those, "Maan sir, aap restaurant hi to gaye thae meeting karne ke liye. Phir aap ne waha apna dinner khaya, apni drinks li aur maze se swimming kar rahe thay jab zor ki baarish huwi aur toofaan aaya. Swimming pool mein saara baarish ka paani bhar gaya aur aap restaurant ke pool se paani mei behte behte yahaan tak aa gaye."
When geet finished maan's face was worth watching and reading as he kept quiet like a kid caught while doing mischief. Imagining his vulnerable condition in front of his mishti, i just couldn't control my laughter. My mom was staring at me weirdly and kept asking, "Kya huwa itna kyu has rahi hai?"
I just lied about reading a funny blog and then she left for the market.
I liked these two situational scenes the most in both stories, kya tumhe haq hai and baabul.
Baabul specially is the depiction of different men as baabul, (Fathers)
One side is brij who dumped geet on maan's shoulders when he wanted to secure the future of his own daughter.
Second was maan who too left geet listening to his maamaji because he wanted to secure his life and future.
Third was rohit who accepted geet, cured her and gave her a new life, along with a new identity.
He is the most ideal baabul among the three. Ek taraf ek jawaan ladka, jisne ek ladki ko apne sath nashe mei jod to diya, phir usko chodkar, tooti haalath mei akeli phenk kar chala gaya.
Dusri taraf, ek baap ne apni beti ki khatir apni niece ko hi bedakhal kar diya, palat kar bhi nahi dekha ki uski wo dusri beti kahaan gayi, uska kya huwa.
Teesri taraf wo pita, jisne apni beti ko apnane ke liye khoon ke bandhan ko bhi peechay chod diya.
It is said that relations bound by love and truth are 100 times stronger and genuine than relations bound by blood. How true it is!
Pyaar aur apnepan ka rishta, khoon ke rishton se bada aur zyada gehra hota hai.
