*Dusht Danav kahin ke* Geet gritted under her teeth as she stormed off into her room, but certainly not before giving Maan a deadly look which was returned by an even deadlier one.
Kam se kam aaj ke din toh jhagra na karte!!! I have waited for so long to talk to him aur woh!!! Akroo!!! Dusht!!! Khadooos!!! She kept cursing him.
As she angrily removed her jewelleries, Geet couldn't help but think back about her recent fights with Maan... Well, correction. His fights- at least as per her.

"Maan!!! Tell me na... Have I put on weight?" asked Geet she put her hands on her already so flat tummy.
Without lifting his gaze from the TV as some important news was going on, Maan's reply was quick.
"No Mishti. You already look so perfect."
That was enough to make Geet angry.
"Excuse Me!!! You didn't even spare a glance at me Mr MSK. Then, how can you tell?"
Not wanting to face the wrath of his Mishti who has been having stupid mood swings lately for no reason, Maan switched off the TV and turned to his left to face his wife.
Ever since one of her pair of jeans didn't fit her, Geet has been complaining about excess weight. She already has a flat tummy then why cribbing man, Maan inwardly told himself. Crazy Woman, he silently muttured as he shook his head.
"Why are you shaking your head instead of answering me, huh?"
"Areh no Geet, you look pretty and so fit to me. Don't worry, you'll still be the only love of my life even if you ever grow the size of a whale," he ended with a wink which triggered a slight blush on his wife's face.
"Maaan. I'm serious yaar. Bolo bhi, do you think I have put on weight," she again asked, but this time with a pout which made her look edible as per her DD.
"Ok Fine," Maan said in exhasperation. "See, you are fit but if you wish, you can accompany me in the mornings for few days when I go jogging. Then, dekhna, you'll be absolutely perfect," he added with a smile only to notice Geet's little nose growing red like wild red poppies, contrary to what he was expecting.
"Acha, toh I am fat for you now, huh? Pehle toh you said I am fit but then Sach ugal hi diya na. You just contradicted your own words," Geet said angrily.
Is she serious??? Maan asked himself. Blissful marital life ke liye, biwi ke kitne nakhre uthaane parte hai yaar, he thought inwardly. Now she'll again start a fight.
"No Geet. I didn't mean it like that. You only asked, so, I just said that. That also, if you wish because you already look fit and fine to me. Waise bhi, since when did you start having those stupid complexes. Khair, for me, these trivial things don't matter Baby. So stop overthinking and tiring yourself," Maan said softly, trying his level best to maintain a calm composure.
"Haan Haan. You will say like this only. Perfect toh sirf tum hi ho. Apna yeh Greek-God like body Joh flaunt karte rehte ho. Mera kya hai. Main ek baar joh moti hongi, toh tum kissi aur ko laaoge, mujhe apne maayke mein bithaakar," she said in one go.
Maan looked at her in disbelief never expecting such an outburst from her.
Did she just have bhang??? But Holi was 5 months back, Maan thought scratching his head.
"Geet!!! Stop it baby. I came home early to spend some quality with you and Tum ho ke... Let's not fight please. Acha, come sit on the bed," Maan tried to calm her down, leading her towards the bed.
But Geet being in an already bad mood, angrily sat on his feet with such a force that Maan nearly screamed.
"Aaah Geet, get up fatso. Man, how can you be so heavy with a petite body like this," he said out of reflex without realising the impact of his words.
Well, the damage was already done. Needless to say what followed next.

"Happy Birthday once again Mishti," Maan said as he pecked a blushing Geet.
Not wanting to have a big birthday celebration, Maan decided to take his wife on dinner at least. He knew, she was waiting to spend some quality time alone with him just like him. Well, her birthday would be the perfect occasion.
"Acha tell me, where do you want to go for Dinner?"
"No Maan, today we will go where you want," came her reply.
"Are you sure?" he asked to make sure he doesn't make any goof ups.
"Yeah Maan, wherever you want."
"Theek Hai, Chinese Khaane chalte hai, paas hi mean woh Dragon Restaurant hai. Let's go there. Go get ready."
"Dragon Restaurant, matlab the one which is just one road away??? Maan there will be so many people who know us there," she said with a pout.
"Theek hai, tohhh Ummm haan Pape Da Dhabba!!! Wahan chalte hai," he suggested only to find a glaring Geet. Seriously!!! "Par Geet, woh toh tumhaari favourite eating spot hai, haina?" He asked her knowing very well how she would always argue with him to eat there despite him complaining how unhygienic it was to eat in such a place.
"Favourite jagah hai, toh iska matlab yeh nahi ke you take me there every time just for the sake of saving your money," she shruggingly said.
Paise bachane ke liye???!!! Pffttt!!! I'm The MSK man!!!
"Geet!!! Baby it's you who literally force me to go there everytime. Try and remember," he said irritatingly. Women!!!!!
"Maan, will you fight with me on my birthday now," Geet said as she *adorned* her face with a pout which was enough to melt Maan.
"Fine!!! So tell me where you want to go. We'll go there itself," Maan said lovingly as he cupped her face in his hand.
"You can't even choose a single restaurant for me while I take care of your house every single day!!! Mujhe nahi jaana dinner pe," Geet stomped her feet and went out of the room angrily.
Is she serious!!! Gosh!!! Main kuwaara hi acha tha, Maan thought as he ran his hand through his hair.

BACK TO PRESENT
"Pata nahi kis pagal kutte ne kaata tha, jab maine shaadi ke liye haan kardi," Maan said as he lied on his bed, later that night, loud enough, for Geet who was brushing her hair in front of the mirror, to hear.
"Pagal kutte ki ilaawa, kaun kaatna chahega bhi tumko?" She retorted.
"A mad woman maybe," he immediately said.
"What???!!!" She asked as she turned towards him.
"Kyun!!! Dikhaaoon apni chest pe hickeys ke marks???" He said with a smirk as he held the collar of his t-shirt.
"Just go to hell," she threw her brush towards him as she moved out of the room.
"Ouch Geet!!!" He yelled in pain for the brush hit him on his forehead. "Yeh Kya Tha???"
"Our fifth wedding anniversary gift Darling," she replied in a sugar coated voice.

"Maan Bete!!! Jaldi aayiye!!!" Maan's jumped out of bed, the following morning, hearing Dadi calling out loudly for him.
"Geet!!! Uthoo, Gee..." Maan reached out for Geet on the other side of the bed to wake her up only to find her side empty. Yeh Geet kahan chali gayi??? I hope Dadi is fine, he said his little prayer as he moved out of the room.
"Dadima, what's the m... Geeet!!!! Geet ko kya huwa Dadi?" Maan asked in concern as he saw Geet lying on the floor.
"Pata nahi bete. She was bringing coffee for me when I heard a cup breaking. Moor ke dekhi, toh Geet behosh pari thi. Aap inko kamre mein leke jaayiye tab tak hum Doctor ko bulaate hai. Jaayiye bete," Dadima said.
Maan lifted Geet in his arms and carried her to their room while Dadima called Mrs Sharma, their family doctor.

"Eeeaaahhh nnnjakhdjr," Geet mumbled, something beyond Maan's understanding, few minutes later while he was seated beside Geet on the bed waiting for the doctor.
"Geet!!! Just stay still. Dr Sharma will soon arrive to check on you," Maan said, caressing her head, not wanting her to make any kind of efforts.
"Doctor??? But I'm ok Maan," Geet replied.
"Geet please!!! No argument, you know I don't compromise on your health aur tum wahan, Dadima ke kamre mein behosh pari thi. Meri toh jaan hi nikal gayi yeh soch kar ke pata nahi kya huwa tumhe," Maan told her in a concerned tone.
"But I know what happened to me," Geet said in a low voice, avoiding eye contact with Maan.
"What??? What do you m..."
"Maan Bete!!! Chaliye bahar chalte hai. Let the doctor do her work," Dadima ordered as she brought Dr Sharma in their bedroom.
"Ji Dadi," came the reply although he was lost in some deep thoughts. What did she mean??? He kept thinking.

"Chaliye Mrs Khurana!!! I think we should give some privacy to the couple now," Dr Sharma spoke up, signaling towards Maan who didn't move his gaze from Geet ever since she gave them the good news.
"Ji chaliye," Dadima said as she beamed with joy. And then both moved out of the room closing the door behind them.
"Maan kuch bologe nahi," Geet said, breaking the silence after a while.
"Geet!!! Tumhe yeh pehle se pata tha na that you're almost 2 months pregnant, phir mujhe bataya kyun nahi," Maan told her, feeling a bit let down that he heard the good news from the doctor when his wife was already aware of this.
"Maan, this is what I wanted to tell you yesterday. I thought it would be the perfect wedding anniversary gift. I mean we both had stopped hoping about a child and then suddenly I got to know about my pregnancy toh I wanted to break the news to you in the best way possible. That's why despite being aware of this for the past 3 days, I waited to tell you this yesterday," she explained with a glint in her eyes. "Aur phir cake cutting ke baad tumne mujhse jhagra kiya toh main upset..."
"Woooaahh!!! Baby jhagra Maine nahi tumne ki mujhse," Maan defended himself.
"See, even now you're fighting with me," Geet said with a sad pout as tears threatened to drop from her eyes.
Then it dawned unto Maan!!!! Mood Swings!!! No wonder!!!
"Ok fine I'm sorry. I realise your hormones have taken a toll on you. No wonder you've been fighting..." She glared at him. "I mean I have been fighting with you," he corrected himself. Yea right, you're pregnant, you're hormonal, you're having mood swings and I'm fighting with you. How logical. Control your mouth Maan.
"Ok I'm sorry. Now give me a hug. I mean we're becoming parents yaar, what can be better than this," he said as he took her in his embrace and then breaking the hug, he planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Thank you for this Geet. I love you," he said genuinely with all the love and admiration he had for her- his wife, his Geet.
"I love you too Maan," Geet replied as she hugged him again.
"Shittt!!!!" Maan suddenly cursed.
"Chi Maan!!! Don't say these words. Baby can hear you," Geet reprimanded him as she broke the hug this time.
"Theek hai, I'm sorry but Geet I was thinking..."
"What???"
"Yehi ke it's been only 2 months and meri yeh haalat hai... Abhi toh 7 aur mahine jhelna parega tumhare in mood swings ko," Maan said in one go, faking a shocked expression.
"Whaaat???" Geet exclaimed. "Maaan!!!!!!" She threw the cushion that was beside her at him, hard.
And their sweet little banter continued... As usual...
