She stopped at the moment she saw him. She was stunned to find him there. She didn't expect him there. Her face was reflecting so many emotions... surprise, shock and much more. Everything happened five years back flashed before her eyes once again.
FLASHBACK:
"Geet, are you really serious? He never loved you. He was just with you for revenge, his revenge. Yes, he did come into your life, but only to destroy you, only to punish you, I am amazed how come you couldn't see his real intentions. In his entire life he had loved only one girl and that's me, for me he can do anything, any damn thing, could even spoil your whole life and that's what he is doing. The upcoming event is your biggest opportunity na, he will turn it into a disaster, you and your singing career will be finished. And leave that career thing aside...you know what's more bad? You didn't believe in love and trust right...see Maan had made you both to love and trust him...and now he will leave you...to hate love again...THAT IS YOUR PUNISHMENT".
Geet was shocked to hear all this from Aaliya. Geet was about to slap her for the nonsense she was uttering but the last sentence she heard from Aaliya tied her hand to herself. Geet was an introvert person. She hardly opens up to anyone. Maan was the only person who knew about Geet's trust issue because she told him about them. How does Aaliya come to know about this?... Maan told her?
So many questions were ringing in Geet's mind and she decided to get answer to her every question.
"Why are you telling me all this? You are his love right and then what made you betray him and be true to me?? And moreover what made you think that I will doubt him and will believe you?..." Geet who wasn't even come out of the shock by listening about the truth of the person she loved more than her life but she had to get her answers.
"Geet Geet Geet ", Aaliya said mockingly to her . "Tum bhi na Geet, kyu aur kaise kar leti ho tum us par itna bharosa...I feel so sorry for you girl ...Well fine then let me show you something after which I don't think you will be in state to ask anything else "...Aaliya took out her phone from her bag and played some audio recording ...
"Aaliya ...I won't leave her ...at any cost ...mai uski zindagi barbad kardunga ...uske vajah se mere PYAR ne jitna bhi suffer kiya hai na usse kahi jada usko karna padega ...I will finish her ...I will fake love with her ...will fake a relationsip with her and eventually will left her with nothing "
Hearing all this tears brimmed in Geet's eyes, but she somehow held herself from breaking down.
"Maine tumhara esa kya bigada tha Aaliya?", Geet asked her still trying to be calm.
"Now you came to the point ...You remember that inter college competition held in Mumbai? Before 2 months...when you were'nt in this college... That was meant to be win by me ...NOT BY YOU", Aaliya shouted at her revealing her aggression and fury after losing. "Aaliya ne kabhi haarna nahi seekha aur tumhare vajah se ... ".
Geet looked at her in utter disbelief, just because she won that competition and couldn't win by Aaliya ...all this just because of that ...
"And about Maan... as I told before also ...he loves me so much that he could destroy anyone's life who will dare to upset me".
THATS IT... Geet couldn't take it anymore and she ran away from there.
She reached her home and broke down. She fell down on her knees, "Kyu Kyu Kyu ? Why did you do this? I loved you more than my life and you ...you were just faking everything ...every damn thing just because your girlfriend couldn't win that competition ... JUST BECAUSE OF ONE COMPETITION". She cried out loudly not being able to tolerate the pain anymore. She started throwing everything around her in anger and hurt. At that day she left delhi forever without meeting anyone, without talking to anyone.
FLASHBACK ENDS:
Anger was visible on her face. But Maan's happiness had no bounds .At last, Finally he found her .Now he can tell her everything, he can tell her that he loves her only .He was about to take a step towards her but the sight in front of him held his legs right there.
A cute little girl, around 4 years old came and hugged Geet by her knees.
"Mumma" .
Hearing that girl calling Geet MUMMA, Maan's heart broke into million pieces. He was shattered beyond limits. Though after what he did to her, he did know he should be punished and he was even ready for any punishment from her ...but in this way ...NO ...He thought in his mind, "MUMMA , matlab Geet ne shadi karli??".
Geet's attention was caught by the little one who was hugging her. She lifted her up and went towards her home ignoring Maan completely as if she didn't even see him.
Geet put her daughter down and took out the keys from her bag. Opening the lock they both went inside the house. She was about to turn the door off but Maan kept his hand on the door so that Geet could not close it.
"Geet please, Mujhe tumse bat karni hai ", Maan asked in a pleading tone . His eyes were reflecting how badly he wanted to talk to her. They were reflecting the pain ...pain of hurting her, guilt ...guilt of breaking her trust and much more.
"Excuse me? ... sorry but I don't know you and I don't talk to strangers ... so please you better leave from here", Geet replied in a stern tone not looking in his eyes and tried to close the door. But Maan pushed the door little , "Geet please ek bar meri bat to sun lo ", Maan was trying hard to talk to her but she wasn't ready to listen.
Before she could answer him back her gaze went to her back where she found her 4 year old daughter was clutching her saree and pulling it a little bit , "Mumma , ye uncle kaun hai ?", her daughter questioned Geet about Maan in her cute childish voice.
Her little eyes were reflecting the curiosity by seeing a new person talking to her mumma. Geet bent down to her daughter's length and placed her hand on her cheek, "Koi nahi hai Aashi , mumma nahi janti inhe , and don't call him uncle". Geet was trying to make her daughter understand that she don't know the person so aashi should not call him uncle.
Geet stood up and turned back to Maan, " Why are you still standing here ?I guess I made myself very clear that I don't know you ...If you didn't understand in first place then I am repeating again ...I DONT KNOW YOU ...NOW LEAVE". She said emphasizing on she doesn't know him. Her tone was becoming more rude now. Geet was trying her best not to shout as her daughter were standing here and she didn't want her to witness all this.
Maan glanced at Aashi for a moment and pulled Geet outside of her home. By one hand he closed the door a bit so that Aashi could not hear them.
"Geet please , I know I know tum bohot gussa ho ...lekin please ek chance to do justify karne ka ? 5 sal pehle bhi tum bina kuch bole chali gayi thi ...pagalo ki tarah dhoond raha hu mai tumhe pichle 5 salo se", Maan was now becoming restless , after 5 years ...5 damn years he had found her and she is not ready to even recognise him. He was having hard time with himself.
Geet jerked his hand making her hand free from his hold. Disgust, hurt, anger everything was visible
in her eyes. One thing that Maan couldn't see in her eyes was Hatred - he tried to search but he didn't find hatred for himself in her eyes. So does that mean she still love him? Maan was having hard time with himself.
"Ok fine ... look Maan mujhe tumse koi bat nahi karni ...5 sal pahle jo hona tha ho gaya ...mujhe na hi uss bare me tumse kuch sunna hai aur na hi kuch kehna hai ... meri beti andar mera intezar kar rahi hai and I don't want her get a slightest idea about this ...tum jao yaha se ", Geet turned back to the door .
A lone tear rolled down her cheek. Seeing him after these many years, it was hard for her too to control herself from breaking down. She was on the verge of falling apart but still somehow holding herself for her daughter's sake.
"Thik hai ... Tum bat karna nahi chahti aur mai bat kiye bina reh nahi sakta , tum jab tak meri bat sun
nahi leti mai yaha se kahi nahi jane wala ", Maan told her in his firm voice. His determination was reflecting in his voice. He had waited for this moment only, he was searching for this like a mad from past 4 years and finally when he had found her, he won't give up at any cost.
Tears rolled down Geet's cheeks. She closed the door entering inside without turning back at him. "Mumma, kya hua, aap kyu ro rahe ho ", Aashi asked Geet noticing that her mumma was crying.
Geet immediately wiped off her tears and picked aashi and went towards dining table. Placing her on the dining table, "Kuch nahi aashi , wo mumma ke eyes me kachra chala gaya tha na bas isliye".
"Mumma idhar aaao", little aashi signalled Geet to come near her.. Geet was unable to understand what was aashi upto, "Mumma jaldi ",
Geet sat on the chair. Aashi kept her little palm below Geet's eyes and started blowing air in her eyes.
Geet was awestruck seeing her daughter's love and care for her. She immediately embraced her in her arms cuddling Aashi close to her and their whole day went like this.
