Chapter 12
Maan was finding it hard to concentrate on work after the decision. When he wants something, he is restless till he acquires it. When they reached back 2 days before from Italy, Geet seemed a little distant. Whenever she looks at him there was a challenge in her eyes which makes him more energetic. But these days she avoided his eyes and spoke less. And when she said she is going to meet her parents and stay there he dint resist. He was already missing her the moment she left. He is expert in charming woman but when it comes to geet he is confused. How will he wins her heart if she glowers at him whenever he nears. In the past, woman were ready to fall his feet, but geet is different. Seems like at the end he will be the one falling her feet.
Maan decided to ask his friend, Antonio Romero who is happily married to his lady love Lucy. Definitely indirectly. If he so much smells his intention, then MSK is gone. Mentally patting himself for the wonderful idea, he picked up his car keys and headed to his best friend's house.
Their house was located away from the city rush at 20 acres land. The Victorian villa situated at the centre is filled with warmth. When he reached Toni was pacing around the house like a wounded lion.

She is not here. She went to her friend's home with that big baby bump. She said i m fussing around making her mad. But Lucy does not understand. What if something happens when i m not with her. Any second we have to rush hospital. But she doesnt care at all. I am going to become mad one day.
Maan perfectly understood why Lucy went to her friend's home. When it comes to care, Toni will make her mad. He himself has witnessed his friend's craziness last month. He dint even allowed Lucy to get out of the bed when she sneezed.

A smile spread across his face as he stood and gazed out of window.

When i saw her going out of my life because of my foolishness. My ego was not accepting to call her back. But when i thought about facing my life without her something in my heart shifted and killed. And i realized she is the one.
Toni was in some sort of trance. May be relieving the moments. Maan thought its the perfect time to ask his question.
How did you woo her?
Oh..dont remind me. It was so tough. She was so weary. Lots of flowers were sent daily, then candle light dinners cooked by myself, even i wrote poems. That was the first time she laughed after our tiff. It was musical to my ears and still is.
Flowers? Okay, that can be arranged. But poems!! Dio mio! This is going to be bad.

Maan literally ran from there before Toni could question him further. He can't lie to his only best friend, But he is not ready to tell the truth, till everything is fine.
Maan was proud of himself after ordering flowers. But when the girl at the shop asked him if he want anything in the note, he was confused. He has never done this, so it all felt alien. He then convinced her that he will write it personally. But what will he write? He remembered Toni saying something about poem. Sure, MSK can atleast write 4 lines, right? He googled some poems and found it all sooo poetic. He took the paper and pen and stringed some words together. Satisfied, he felt so proud of himself. Geet is so going to love it.
Geet felt so much at peace after visiting her parents. Her mother's fussing and dad's teasing was what she needed to forget her inner turmoil. They were worried when they witnessed lack of presence of Maan in her life. Now they are happy. Thats why her father dint object when Maan insisted about living together. Now that she is returning back, she felt the turmoil returning. She was in danger of falling for him again after seeing compassionate MSK. After their outing it felt like something changed between them. There is a change in Maan towards her. But she is not giving into that temptation. So she herself distanced and remained cool and polite.
Maan watched with interest as she entered the lift. He can hardly wait to surprise her. He arranged his floor to be empty so that he dont want anyone to witness his romantic moments. She stepped out of the lift in her office wear, white shirt, figure hugging grey skirt and grey coat. Her hair was up making her neck look longer. She entered their cabin and he wait to hear her happy gasp and laugh. But after a second he was welcomed with loud shriek and something falling. Dio mio!
He rushed inside to witness geet on floor tangled in net and jasmine flowers and leaves tucked all over. The net was meant to just hold flowers, rt?
What the hell are you looking at?

Eh Geet.. are you okay?

She gritted through her teeth making him shut.

Cursing himself for his stupidity, he helped her out of net. With great effort he plucked all the leaves, stem and then some flowers from her head and clothes. He could feel the anger build inside her. Oh no! He is going to be chicken roast today.

He felt himself squirming like some 6 year old child under her scrutiny.

Again a wrong answer! He watched fascinated as her face revealed hidden fury.
Then i think i should say i m so humbled. If i was not so lucky, then tomorrow's papers will have a headline like Surprising fiance turned into shocking tragedy'. You are just impossible.
Geet marched out of his cabin and he felt like some earthquake has happened and left.
Geet was trying hard to cool herself. She couldn't understand his sudden urge of surprising. She would not have been so angry if he did the whole thing to himself. She could bet he just gave instructions and relaxed. Suddenly something fell out of her coat, a white paper? Unfolding it, she was surprised to see something like poem.
