Even I thought the same when I watched Humraaz but later learnt that they can quote self defence! Many self defence cases have been there where if you can prove it is self defense, you are let off by the court. You only have to prove it is self defense and when Dev has gun raising towards Khushi, self defense is believable. Plus, I think the Police of the village would be so thankful that the bane of their existence Dev is dead that they will happily ignore Geet killing him. 😉
