She traced her hand on his bare back to sooth his anger and feel his warmth. Maan got irritated with the feel she was stirring

"Get lost." But Geet held on "Back off from this alliance" "Bilkul nahi"

"Don't keep any expectation from this relation. Pain is all you will get from this relation, it's a sincere warning. Better you take it seriously" and he pulled her harshly away from him and threw her on the ground and left from there leaving her alone on the floor.

He was so irritated by his own decision but what could he do. This girl was not ready to leave now. He wanted her not to be in touch with him or his family but he knew how stubborn she was. And if she keeps in touch with him or his family, his family members will not stop insulting her. And her each insult was like death for him.

There was no option other than taking her under his wing. But attaching her with him was also equally irritating.

As Maan has warned, pain was all Geet was getting but she cared less. Bringing happiness in his life and her own repenting was all she cared.

That night, when Maan had thrown her on ground, she had shrugged off her pain and smilingly entered the hall. Kamini and Rajendra blessed her as all were still digesting that Maan agreed for engagement, it was no less than miracle.

Rajendra had himself dropped her to her home after she insited on not staying in Mansion.

Annie and Nadini had talked about Geet to Kamini but now these things did not matter to Kamini and Rajendra.

Kamini had called Geet to Mansion for engagement preparation and date fixing. Geet had quietly gone to Kamini's and Rajendra's room avoiding taunting gaze of Annie and Nandini. It would be worse to get into eyes of Mohini.

It was true; she still could not speak back to members of this family, offcourse her Chote thakur had to do it for her.

Pandit was sitting and as it was marriage season going on the best nearest day was 3 days after. Geet was numb with surprise, 3 days and she will be engaged to her Chote Thakur. Is it happening for true or is she dreaming.

"Geet, today itself, you and Maan should go and select ring and dress for engagement."

Geet did not say anything to them but with the way Maan had warned her yesterday she did not know what will be the consequence of it.

Geet stepped into Maan's office. She recognized the receptionist "Pinky". Pinky recognized Geet too. It had been three years and both observed the change in other. Earlier, Maan would keep bringing Geet here once in a while and thus old employees recognized her.

"Hi Geet, you are back. Suna hai teri hee wajah se Maan sir aise" Pinky could not say much.

"woo Pinky, I need to meet him"

"I am not his PA Dear, don't know his schedule but you can go to his cabin, it's the same. And who has guts to stop you here, go."

Geet stood infront of his mega office and she felt lucky to find he was in there but engrossed deeply in some work.

She knocked and went in. Maan's concentration broke and he looked up

"tum??? So you are not going to let me even do my work in peace"

He gave her such hard and cold look that was unbearable to her. Her Chote Thakur, who would proudly and lovingly bring her here and make her sit here for long was now so alien to all.

"woo.. our engagement" she somehow uttered "so" "it's just three days after" "what?? "

"so you had planned it all and came" "no chote Thakur, Panditji confirmed the date just an hour back"

"Thanks for informing, Confirm the time too when it's decided, I will be there on time and now you may leave"

He said as if he was talking of someone else's engagement. But he soon realized something and dialed his PA's number.

A beautiful smart and efficient girl in western appeared "Pari, We had deals finalized for the over bridge construction. Invite the concerned official for Mega party. It will be 3 days later with my engagement party"

Geet and Pari both were shocked for different reason "Sir your what? engagement"

"yes, why? Do you have hearing problem" He had no expression as usual.

Geet was shocked; engagement with her meant nothing to him but all ran to his mind was collaborating business with it.

When Pari left "Maa asked us to slect and buy the ring and dress for engagement together"

"Get me your account number, I will transfer money to it. I don't have time for these stuffs. This is the last time I am making this clear and don't want you to come again and again with same issue."

"but Chote thakur, how will I alone" but he was not even listening to her and dialed the number

"Shasha in my office, soon"

His body language and the way he got busy in other stuff made geet shut her mouth and wait for that girl Shasha

"yes sir" another smart efficient one entered. "Take account number from Mam and get this done" he handled the check.

The amount in check widened Shasha's eyes

"Sir, can you check the amount again" she asked scared "do as I have instructed."

Geet obeyed Maan and gave her account number to Shasha. Anyways, she cannot take the risk of denying him anymore.

After Geet left, shasha came back to Maan's cabin

"Sir, I did the job" "great" Maan said without even giving her the glance.

"Sir, is she some one important"

"She is everything. It's not your issue. Just concentrate on work given" he scolded making her leave quietly.

Geet was least worried or concerned about the money but how will she select dress and rings for engagement alone. Though she was disheartened that he was least interested in anything realted to engagement but now was not time to care about your own feeling. His image; it will be a big party. She will be with him, she has to be upto mark, how.

How badly she was missing Samrat. How nicely he would come up whenever she is disturb and arrange for some solution for her.

She called him to feel lighter and it did work. Samrat's talk made her feel much lighter. He had magical wand to take away her tensions. And here her Chote Thakur, did all to put pressure on her. But again, she was to be blamed.

She called Kamini.

1 hr later, Geet, Kamini, Annie and Nandini were in the Jwelery shop. Maan's sisters were irritated to core but how can they disobey their Badi Maa. But here they were to select ring for Bhai and this girl, girl who used to run at their order.

Maan was involved and they knew Bhai's anger thus they had to make proper selection too.

Beautiful rings were selected for both and then the top designer brought her three best selected dress for Geet.

"Main kaun wali pehnoo maa"

"koi bhi pehno doesn't matter, you need to know how to carry them" taunted Annie.

Nandini laughed on her.

Kamini, at last helped Geet decide the dress because Maan had already warned to not come to him with such stuff.

At night Geet was at home, realizing how different and hectic the day was. How her life will be changed one when she go back to college after vacation.

Next day in KM, Geet was also available on the brake fast table. Maan was also there, he had his own reason.

Nandini and Annie could not tolerate it; Geet sitting with them and Geet sensed it. She felt uncomfortable. Maan observed all three girls, he was more angry on Geet for reacting to their behavior.

He looked at Geet "Do you want me to leave without having breakfast, if you are so uncomfortable by my sitting here"

Uff he knew she was uncomfortable, he did not talk to her, not listen to her, gave damn about her but now he knew she was uncomfortable.

"I am comfortable" Geet straightened herself. And his sisters too knew it was not time to play with their bhai around this girl.

After a while "Mom, when you decide the exact time of engagement, please do let me know, I have to give time to my parties."

"Only business" Geet murmmered and he heard, gave her hard look and left.

Next two days, Geet tried her best to get hold of Maan. She wanted to have some talk with him before their engagement. Everything was so suddenly and she felt weird they didn't even talk regarding it for once. She kept calling him and he kept not picking it... she followed him to office too but he kept himself busy with whatever he was doing not even giving her a single glance.

At last she held his hand "Chote Thakur, please talk something."

"Geet, I had already warned you, this is how it is going to be. COLD. Our relation is going to be this all the way. Better back of from this alliance. Get out of my life as you already had. It should not be that tough for you, you had already done it"

"Taunt as much as you can but I won't, No, never"

"Then get into habit of it. You may leave now" and he left his cabin for an important meeting.

Next : The dream engagement for any girl******* or only at face value😲😕.

Also, yes I remember Rano and Mohinder. They will come in picture too but not that very much at present. _Anu

it's hurting now. please bring maan's real siblings. i cant tolrate these cousins...
