The Saturday night came and the hall near our staff apartment was decorated. Lee was dressed in a Cinderella dress, flowers decorated at waist line and a flowery hair band. She looked so cute with those baby blue eyes. It was designed by Mike, his birthday gift.
The party was in full swing. Children and the adults were enjoying it since their wing was separated. I appointed some workers to look after the kids. Some were dressed as prince, some others as witches, and some as pumpkin and so on. I was dressed in suit so no one get suspicious. Rose accompanied me all the time declaring herself as my date. She was dressed as a butterfly looking so cute. Many men admired her.
Sir, Lee is tired.
Lee stretched her hands towards me. I invited Brian too when I met them other day. He thinks I am her father and the one he met at the park is her mother. He was so protective that none of the boys dint gets to touch her. Lee dint mind that. Infact she has been following him like a lost puppy clutching his hands.

Yes Sir. Even though she ate lots of chocolates, I made her eat some vegetables too. My dad says vegetables are good for health.

Bidding them good bye, I took Lee to our apartment room. Her eyes were droopy, so I immediately bathed her with warm water and changed her into a fresh set of PJ's.

Kissing her temple, I covered her with blanket and walked out. i switched on the stars light that illuminated on ceiling. My birthday gift was giving her the princess room she liked.
When I entered the hall, Rose was sprawled out on sofa looking at me intensely. Oh my!! Did she know my truth? I consciously touched my hair and body.

I looked at her shocked. But she was looking at me so expectantly like my answer will return her lost confidence, I nodded reluctantly.

She nodded yet looked relieved.
One more thing. You are the most beautiful and caring person I have ever met. When the right time comes, your prince charming will be knocking your door and will swipe off to a new world. I won't say there will be happily ever afters. But we can make it an almost one. For now, give yourself a break and concentrate on your career. Let the fate decide the rest.
She grinned suddenly and hugged me tight.

After making Rose sleep on my spare bed, I went back to party. Most of them were leaving. Looking around I spotted a familiar outline of a body at bar. Maan?

He looked startled then looked left and right.

She slept. Birthday party was over a long time.
Oh! My flight was late.

He looked so sad and I resisted the urge to comfort him.

His eyes roamed around as if looking for some one. Suddenly someone pushed me making lose my balance and I just crashed on maan's arms.

My specs flew away somewhere and when I looked up, I was staring into a pair of chocolate brown eyes. His eyes were piercing right through me and at the moment I never wanted him to look away. My throat went dry and I licked my lower lip nervously. His eyes followed my movement and his hands clutched me tighter. I felt our faces inching closer.
Maan..
Suddenly he stepped back and looked at me confused. Regret, Anger and confusion flashed through his eyes.
I should go.
He gathered the gift that was sprawled on the floor and kept it in table. Then he walked away. what happened? Then the realization hit me. According to him, he was going to kiss another guy!! Maan was about to kiss gautam, yuck!!
