Months of tasking schedule, sleepless nights, bruises and cramps...all the pain and hard work has finally paid off for Madhubala aka Drashti Dhami, who very proudly bagged the Jhalak Trophy in the 6th installment.
One of the hot favorite contestants of Jhalak, Drashti Dhami came a long way on the show. A non trained dancer, Drashti put in a remarkable effort for Jhalak as she juggled with her popular TV show Madhubala's hectic schedule along with rehearsals for the reality dance show.
Drashti not only showed improvement with each act but had also emerged as a great dancer on the show. And judging her few last performances of the show, when she flawlessly danced on Anil Kapoor's popular dance number, beating trained dancer Lauren, it seems there was little that could stop her now.
She knew how to tick all the boxes yet be able to bring about a charm in her performances. Her value as an actor has certainly helped her to propel further. Drashti made it to the top four with the support of her fans and her spectacular dance performances.
Along with her talented Choreographer Salman Yusuf Khan, she showcased some breathtaking performances like the sexy tango on Jaadu hai nasha hai' or a tear jerking one in Indian Cinema Special on Tadap-Tadap' ke. Be it the filmy thumkas or Paso Doble she has topped it all.
Drashti a novice and stiff dancer wooed the audiences and judges with her stylish grooves to become a dancer par excellence. Her never say die attitude got her a lot of support from her fans and well-wishers that helped her bag the coveted title.
