Yes he is my punching bag. I snap at him every time and mind you he isn't a saint, he has a temper but he never as in never ever snapped back at me. Never raised his voice. He did raise his voice on my brother when he hurt me once. Rofl. He is damned sweet.

Okay, so this one has to be a very important chapter of the story with the things it has revealed.

To imagine Maan this way, being a young, carefree boy, skidding his bike, running through the house all drenched and covered in mud, it's a different thing. Something that I can't seem to wrap my head around. The man that he is now - of few words, withdrawn into himself - was once this boy...

From the time that Vicky has entered the story, I've always loved the relationship he shares with Laasya. The son who wouldn't let his mother feel any pain that he is capable of taking away, and the doting mother who loves her child to the extent that I can't even say in words. Now knowing that these two aren't bound by blood ties, it's only made me love their bond further. This is a true example of what Maan thought as a young boy: that inheritances don't matter, that the ties of heart are above and beyond blood ties.

I can't guess why Laasya had to disclose the truth to the ten-year-old, especially on his birthday. But I ceratinly can understand Maan's point of view of being angry with his mother and pulling himself away from something which he believes his brother is pushed away for. But he should have talked to his mother, asked her upfront why she did it. Maybe there was a good reason, because I don't think Laasya would hurt any child deliberately, no matter how mischievous he'd be. Nevertheless, Maan himself is a kid and seeing his care for his brother warmed my heart much more than thinking that he shouldn't have stripped himself away.

At the end, he didn't let go. He didn't let the bandage fly away. This only shows that even if he tries to make himself believe that he doesn't need any care, his heart yearns for it. Even if he doesn't talk to his mother and let her take care of him, he still wants her love, her care...
