loved all the parts...
so emotional, so touchy, so real topics and the way maan gave strength to geet, that was mindblowing... the way he felt for her and now she has also started feeling for him and the way maan included himself in ll the activities of hostel, that was really touchy and he fulfilled all the wishes of geet, meera, small-2 wishes, specially that ice-cream one... and the way he held her when she broke down completely in the party... that was really heart touching , , and all the chapters were heart wrenching, , touching, loving, caring and so on... well done di... i was really speechless, tongue tied... even i cried in one part, i don't know which one but yes i had cried a lot in that chapter,,,,,,,,,,,,,poems and songs were so perfect according to the situation... i had told so many things but still feeling tongue tied, speechless... hats off to you, , yeah the scenes are like ghsp but story is totally different and the way you are describing all the things in past n present , that is really uff... can't explain...

Chapter 30

Ok I am not surprised that Geet is a widow. In fact that is what I had assumed after reading about her BIL and MIL's attitude towards her. How sad is it that a widow can't light a lamp at an auspicious occasion. Why does she lose her dignifed status just coz her husband is dead, I just don't understand. So many people have fought for the rights of the widows and yet it's nowhere to being what it should be like. They are still treated like second class citizens by their own family members.

Did you know that Savitri Bai Phule lit her husband's funeral pyre with her own hands as his widow under all kinds of protests. And why can't the life partner who is the closest to their spouse send off their loved one, if that is what they wish. Anyway, I went off track. but it just burns me when I see somebody not being allowed to do auspicious things just b'coz she is a widow or sometimes, b'coz she does not have a child.

I loved how Maan reacted not to her widowed status, as in not about her being married before but only about her incomplete dreams. Loved the whole Dadi Maan convo. Sometimes talking with an elderly person and letting their experience guide you is the best thing to do. I am glad Maan has such a wise person like Dadi to guide him and Dadi senses daal mein kuch kala. 😆

Again Maan selflessly puts his needs aside and stands strong for Geet.

Another socially concsious chapter. I love the different issues you have introduced throughout this FF and even better are the solutions and how you tackle with them. Waiting to read more about Geet.
