It was hard to get hold of Adi, he was always available yet unavailable. Vikrant could sense that Adi was misguiding them, but why? He was a good friend of Maan then why was he not co-operating.

He was able to corner Adi after a month, when he trapped him in his own house.

"So Adi, what's there that you are hiding" asked Vikrant

"Nothing" said Adi confidently

"You have always known where Geet was?"

"I don't have anything to say in this"

"Why were you not telling her whereabouts to your wife?"

"Why should I tell you?"

"Look, if you would have told her that Geet is safe, she would not have bothered Myra, and Myra would not have forced me to make this missing case"

Silence

"Now that we know that you have always known about Geet, why don't you tell me about her?"

"No one needs to know about her"

"Adi, you are being stubborn, look I want you to hear this tape then you decided for yourself what you shall hide and what you shall tell"

He played the conversation tape and Adi was shocked as he heard the 2 recorded conversations and exclaimed, "Geet and Sameera??"

"Yes, now will you co-operate?" said Vikrant feeling a bit relaxed

"But why will she want to kill Maan, does she not love him?"

"She pretends to be in love with him, she is a damn good actress"

"Ok I can tell you only what I know"

"Go ahead I am all ears"

Adi told him that he has known Geet since long, she has always treated him like a brother she never had and he adored her like a sister he also never had. Once when he showed her their office photographs she recognized Maan and later told him that she had had a crush on him.

ADI SAYS

" I was surprised and told her that he too had a crush on some girl he saw at NASA and later when he went to ask her hand in marriage he was told that she is already engaged. Geet was all tears on hearing this, she was not happy with her life, though she pretended to be but deep inside she was fed up of Dev and his immoral behavior.

When Maan got married to Sameera she was broke, she was more broken when she learnt that Sameera had delivered a daughter. She herself was not able to become a mother. And Sameera was enjoying motherhood at such an early age of 18.

After Dev went to come she called me and told that Palak was Dev's daughter, I was shocked. She requested me to help her get the job in ABC Company. I was surprised she only needed to approach Mr. Raizada and he would welcome her knowing that she is a Handa. But she said she wanted to get the job through Maan or Pinky.

At first I was not comfortable but later seeing that she was pregnant I helped her.

It was my planning that Geet will meet Maan and Pinky at the local train station. Rest you know.

She soon became friends with Maan and as he had no relation with Sameera, he was again attracted towards her, and on that day he even signed in the husband's column to save her.

The day he was to leave for Germany she talked him into making her pregnant and as soon as he left she disappeared.

Sameera was the girl I never liked she was quite irritating, I started despising her as she was the one who took everything from Geet, first her husband then her love.

Though I must say Sameera is quite innocent and nave. With the presence of Geet she became very insecure and I purposely told her about Geet being Maan's first love."

That is all I can tell and Adi stopped

Vikrant was not satisfied and said "where did she hide herself?"

"In the Handa outhouse" Adi smirked

"What?" Vikrant was shocked, "we were looking for her everywhere and she was in the Handa premises"

"Yes, we knew well that Outhouse was not used, I had taken permission to use it as my studio and Sameera willingly gave it, she never came to that part nor did anyone else came there"

"No one doubted it"

"No"

"She is still there"

"No, she went away yesterday, that's why I am telling you, else I would have never told you"

"Where has she gone?"

"Her delivery is due anytime in this month; she has gone with her so called Mother"

"Adi, why have you helped her?"

"I will do whatever is in my capacity to help her"

Vikrant stood there helplessly looking at Adi

Again half truth is out...

The CID team was now searching for Handa family, Geet and her parents, but every turn was futile. According to the neighbors the Mohinder Handa has gone with his wife for Char Dham yatra (pilgrimage) and will be back in 2-3 months. When asked about Geet, they told that she used to live with them but from last 7-8 months she has shifted to her parental house, yes she did come to visit them yesterday when they were leaving for the tour.

Abhijeet, Daya and the team all traced all the transportation stations in search of the Handa's. They showed the photographs of the three to every possible person, at railway stations, airports, bus terminals, cab drivers etc, but they have disappeared as if they have never existed.

A month went in searching them, tracking their mobiles, but they have left their mobiles at their house. They did not even use debit or credit card. No money transaction was done.

One fine day the team again traced a call

L1: hello

L2: how are you?

L1: where are you?

L2: so everyone is searching for me, am I that important?

L1: why have you called?

L2: to tell you something

L1: what?

L2: do you know we are not cousins but real sisters?

L1: what?

L2: yes, I am your real sister

L1: how can you be so sure?

L2: you can ask your elders

L1: how did you know?

L2: I saw some records

L1: when and where

L2: long back may be 4-5 years back

L1: what records?

L2: some papers that told that I was given in adoption

L1: why did you not tell me about this?

L2: what could you have done if you would have known?

L1: I don't know

L2: you took everything that was mine.

L1: no, that's not true

L2: you even took my real parents from me

L1: I did not do anything

L2: if they would have had only one daughter, they would have never given me

L1: but your adopted parents love you as their own

L2: yes but there are some things only real parents can understand

L1: they love you

L2: but I hate them, they also took everything from me and gave you what belonged to me

L1: now what do you want from me?

L2: everything

L1: Pardon

L2: and it is now Maan's turn

L1: No, you can't do this

L2: I can

L1: NO!!

The phone went dead

The team traced the call. Both numbers were at the Handa premises.

The conversation shocked them, Abhijeet instantly called Myra and she rushed to the outhouse but there was no one, yes a mobile was there at the door steps, she immediately looked in the call details and found that it was a conference call, she informed Vikrant and they started to track the original number.

Here at the Handa Haveli, Sameera was in a panic she was calling Maan's number again and again. Finally Maan took the call and was annoyed by her tantrums, he knew that she was concerned but he still did not like her interference.

Adi asked Maan to accompany him to a certain place, and he agreed, at the same time Sameera called him, and he without thinking told her where he was going. Sameera immediately opened her locker and extracted a pistol from it and hid it in her purse, and took her car and drove to where Maan was going.

Maan was silent, Adi assured him that all will be well, they reached their destination. They were surprised to find Vikrant and other CID team members there. Within seconds Sameera also came out of her car.

They all entered the City Hospital from different entry gates.

Adi and Maan went inside a private ward, to find Rano and Mohinder sitting there with a small bundle, a baby boy.

Maan looked at Adi, and then at the Handa's then at the little baby.

"He is yours Maan" said Adi.

"Mine" said a shocked Maan

"Yes"

"Geet, where is she?"

No one spoke, there was a CRUSH sound; someone fell at the door

Maan looked to find Sameera on the floor

He helped her stand, "what are you doing here?"

She gave him a blank look, "he is your son?"

"Yes"

"From Geet"

"Yes"

She did not say anything

After some time Maan again asked "where is Geet?"

Mohinder stood up and hugged Sameera, "I am sorry beta ji"

Sameera gave him a hurt look, "why did you do this?"

Maan was puzzled; he gave Adi a questioning look

Adi said,"Geet and Sameera are real sisters"

Before Maan could react, Sameera said, "You knew this?"

"Yes, I know whatever Geet knows"

"What else do you know?"

"I know about Palak also"

Sameera was speechless she just stood there mum

Rano was crying and so was Mohinder, Maan stood there puzzled, "will anyone tell me what is all this?"

Adi said, "Maan, Geet and Sameera are Sukhvider Handa's daughters. Mohinder Handa is their Uncle. Rano was not able to conceive so they took Geet on adoption. Sukhvinder had a son who died later at the age of 8. After that Sameera was born."

Maan, "Oh, and Geet knows this"

"initially she knew nothing, but once Dev commented that she and Sameera looked like real sisters, she was doubtful, she was a perfectionist, so she searched for the facts and once at the Handa Haveli got hold of her real birth certificate, then she confronted Sukhvinder and he told herthe truth. She was hurt. She said that if Rano would have been her real mother she would have told him about your marriage proposal to her. I many times tried to make her understand but she did not. And when you married Sameera she was broke. The last string was the knowledge that Palak was Dev's daughter made her mad."

"She is jealous of Sameera"

"Yes, and I support her on this"

While they were talking THAI!!! BANG!!! CRUSH!!!A gun shot and Maan fell down.

Sameera was looking shocked, the gun was lying at her feet, her hands on her mouth.
