Part 36

Geet blushed hearing about their wedding and wanted to run away. She moved back and tried to leave when Maan held her hand and pulled toward him and hugged her..

Dadi choked seeing the rare surprising, unhoped unexpected scene in front of her. Her eyes became bigger and mouth opened like was not possible to close it now ever again.

Hearing her cough Geet pushed Maan and both runs to Dadi. Geet gave her water glass and Maan caressed her back tried to make the shocked old lady calm down.

"What was all that Maan!!!!''

After getting her voice back Dadi spoke.

Maan Geet were highly embarrassed tried to escape but Dadi ..

"Don't dare to run you both!!!''

Both had to sit there but had not bravery to make their eyes face to Dadi. Both heartbeats were jumping in embarrassment and face was showing it badly, without hiding a bit.

"Maan, I am asking something!!!''

"Wo actually Dadima.. I need to call someone. I'm going!!'' He runs without giving a piece of time to anyone could stop his escape. Now the poor Geet left alone to satisfy the raising questions and eyebrows of Dadi who had biggest frown on face. She gulped down her saliva.

"Wo Dadima.. wo..'' she was looking down in fear

"Geet Beta look at me'' Dadi said dearly. Geet looks her and she found an open smile on Dadi face. Geet smiled back and looked down shying.

"Thanks Beta''

Geet shocked and looked her confused. "Why Dadima?''

"Geet I never seen Maan this much happy since years. In fact had forgotten how he looks when smiles but today, the happiness the smile you gave him it was precious Beta'' She held Geet hands in her.

"I want you to always give him all those happiness Geet which he never found. After his parents death I everyday prayed to Babaji giving my Maan every possible bliss but today I know, it been fulfilled. Always remain same Beta'' The moist eyes of old lady stared Geet with wishes and hopes which accepted by Geet very affectionately. She nodded.

The sentiment was overpowering them when heard Nakul voice from door,

"Aree Maan sir! Why are you standing here outside?''

Maan glared him like wanted to kill then and there. He was hiding and hearing ladies talk but now, he was completely disclosed and knew, Dadi got another chance to tease him and she will never miss it.

"Maan!!!'' As he had guessed Dadi called him with a winning smirk on face while Geet had expectation to see Maan Singh Khurana, faltering.

"What are you doing there?''

"Where Dadi! Oh there? actually I dint know when I reached there Dadi I was busy on phone!!' He said very innocently

"Oh really Maan Beta.. then why your hand is empty and phone I can see popping out from your pocket? '' Dadi said becoming super innocent.

"Oh ye.. ye toh my call had been ended Dadima that's why!!''

"O ho!! It means you dint hear what Geet was saying about you. Hai na!!''

Geet who was mute listener of this amazing argument shocked hearing what Dadi said but when Dadi gave her a wink she understood and smiled.

"She didn't say anything Dadi wo toh aap hi' ''

Maan bit his tongue knowing he was caught. But he was not a man to be caught this easily. Knowing now Dadi will not leave him, slowly he gestured something to Nakul who was there hearing their talk. Nakul nodded and left.

As Dadi was about to open her mouth Maans phone rung, which Nakul had done from landline. Excusing everyone he rushed out, now having a genuine explain but as Dadi was his real Dadi, she understood his plan and smiled, shook head.

"Why are you smiling Dadi?'' innocent Geet asked.

"Nothing Beta, you go. Maan will be waiting for dinner'' and she gave a teasing smirk which made Geet all blushing and shy-shy. She nodded and left smiling.

The day Madhav had heard Dev talk he was spying and keeping eyes on his every act. Today evening, Dev was calling Brij where Brij said he was succeeded to get letter from Rano.

"That's brilliant Brij. Now you know what our next plan is''

Dev did not know that someone was keeping his ears on his talk and when he turned, shocked!!!!

"Uncle?''

"What its all Dev what are you doing!!!!''

"What uncle I did not understand'' Dev tried to be proper

"Really!!! ''

"Ji''

"Why were you talking to Brij Handa!!!!''

"Uncle what are you asking. I don't know any Brij Handa!!''

"Don't try to hide Dev'' and Madhav pressed play button of his pocket recorder. All the talks Dev had had with Brij just now, started echoed in air. Dev's condition started sinking. The fear started appears on his dried face and suddenly he fell on his feet.

"Uncle please forgive me. Please uncle !! please don't say anything to bro he will kill me..please uncle!!!''

"What is this all Dev!! ''

"please uncle I will tell you everything but don't tell bro or Dadi. Please uncle!!''

"Don't act innocent Dev. If you can cheat your brother how can I trust you!! And if you are really feeling you were going to do wrong, accept it before your own family because only they have the right to forgive you or not!!!''

Dev was shocked. Suddenly his whole plan began to slip down and this could not be happened. "I will have to think something.. Think Dev!! Think soon before everything finish!!!..'' he repeated in mind.

"Come on Dev!!'' Maadhv sat in his car and was waiting for Dev to come. Silently he settled inside and driver started car.

Geet came out of room saw; Maan was sitting on dinning chair crossing his arms, very silently and was waiting for her. She went and served him and then, sat on next chair. She was starting, serving in her plate when looked, Maan still did not start eating.

"What happened? Khaiye na!!''

Maan shook head. Denied..

"Why?'' she become worried if he was angry because of what happened lately.

"Maan!! Boliye na!!''

"Geet today I won'' Maan said

"Ya I know''

"and if someone wins he should get some award right!!''

"Hmm!!'' she nodded

"Where is my reward?''

"Mean? But aapne toh kuch manga hi nahi!!''

"But now I ask'' he looked her started moving nearer.

"What' she said slowly having butterflies with anticipations..
