Beautifully and sensitively handled. The lines uttered by Geet could melt anyone's hearts but it did come as a surprise when a man like Daarji could have felt ashamed of his deeds. True, repentance is something you could not live with. Ask me about it. Repentance and regret are two devils which slowly poison your soul, and cripple you.
The words Balwinder spoke to Pammi that she didn't deserve to be a mother, though I wouldn't have approved of in normal circumstances, to be spoken such to a woman, who lost her child...had me agree with the truth in them, for the deeds she have done and the apathy she showed. As I say Shoki is better than her, at some level.
The emergency contraceptive pill, and she throwing it away...the innocence of Chidi was what makes my heart constrict painfully for her but love her with more ferocity with each passing update.
I have read all your works but I think this story is in different league altogether because of the way it is being written. It is kept too realistic to the point that I can see these characters around me.
