Sensitively and beautifully written.. Thank u for making this update on this day. I appreciate it. The pain in my heart thinking over chidi's condition is alleviated a bit now. But still these so called relations are going to give her trouble. I firmly believe that she will rise from her situations and prove her worth to the world.

I do not know whom to blame anymore. It isn't Shoki any longer...not until his view point is shown. However his immediate reaction when he found out Geet shows his somewhere still existing humanity. BUT of course I still wouldn't call him a human because he would've been still an animal even though it was Channi in there, who was a major. As we know the girl who'd gone through being Geet or she being 14 years old was not the sole cause of the anger that is directed towards him. Not for me at least.
To me he would be a heartless monster for doing that to a girl. Any girl.
However Darji and Pammi surprised me by the way they stooped so damning low. I do not have any words left.
Things like these leave me entirely blank. I remember I was a viewer in one of the GDs at our institute where Damini's case was raging high. People obviously were speaking the maximum points because their concern was to get noticed and get good remarks about their GD. There were men who were quoting the sections under which a man can be thrown behind bars and of course there were men who bought the issue of gender sensitivity. But the same men when out of the class were calling a girl who spoke ferociously in the GD with cheap names. After that I went blank. I didn't know what else to say. At times like these I feel like giving up on this society, which I think I already did.
As of you worrying about the sort of punishment to be given to Shoki or anyone for that matter, trust me go with whatever you planned. Just because this is a story and you are writing (consider the -ing form) and since this isn't a book where the story was pre written, we tend to throw our opinions and crib about what we want, but at the end of the day show us what you wanted to. If we really are so uptight about what we want to read, I am sure we might be writing a story ourselves. So ignore the anger bursts and demands from we readers and show us what you planned.
PS: Yes I didn't comment on Chidi's that one line because it was something which actually was an undoing for the tear glands in my eyes that rarely works.
