The Downpour... Part 9

Geet like any drugged person was slipping nearer to him and lastly hugged him tight, completely surrendering herself in his arms.

"Geet what are you doing''

He tried to remove her arms from him but she was tightening her hold more... Finally Maan could not hold back and hugged her even more firmly. His touch was very intense like he had been wanting something since long and now have got it.

They remained same for minutes and with a loud thunder Maan came in sense and he left her instantly. He moved back pushing hair back in shock.

"What was I doing????''

He looked her and found her body was shaking rapidly getting distance from him. She was not in sense and her eyes were closed. She was still clutching his shirt with her quivering hands and something she was murmuring in her semi-consciousness. Maan brought his ear near her mouth to hear what she was saying, due to thunder it was becoming difficult to be hearing properly.

"Please don't leave me!!!' She tried to hold him near..

"Mujhe.. b-bahut thand lag r-rahi hai.. It's c-cold''

Then Maan understood that she was not in sense. Looking at her Maan became worried as slowly she was going on edge of passing out.

"Geet'' he patted her cheek. Her skin was becoming cold to colder very fast. Maan terrorized. He immediately carried her in arms and brought to car and made her sit inside, on back seat. He rubbed her hands to make it warm but her condition was becoming worst.

"i-it's c-cold..'

Again and again she was murmuring this and every time her voice was becoming weaker. He switched on car heater and closed all windows and door properly and came next to her. Her dress was socking completely in water and body was doused, due to which her condition was not getting into any better but he had no option at all. She was shivering very poorly that was giving Maan strange uneasiness. Looking no option he hugged her securely and kept her closer to his heart.

With the help of heat and his body warmth, after several minutes Geet felt some relief. Her body lessened down shivering and started moving in response of his hug. She was feeling protected and snuggled nearer to him in her unaware state.

Maan let her be like that. His heart possessed an unknown yet good feeling keeping her near, safe and relaxed. Strangely his heart and mind were not arguing over and he felt everything was peaceful. He closed eyes to protect this time in his heart and cuddled her in him.

"Why did you leave me?'

Geet murmured 'Asha' softly He did not understand her question, looked her face strangely.

"Please don't ever leave me alone.. I was so scared!!'

She cried in her slumber.

"Geet I will never leave you alone, it's my promise''

Without thinking Maan replied then shocked to the core. He left her abruptly. His own mind started questioning him that he could not get any answer. He made her lay down on seat and came back behind the wheel and started car. He had no courage to look her back, seemed his heart was scared with the sight it would be getting and drove off far away in dark rainy night.

In morning Geet opened her eyes. Her head was feeling heavy and having slight pain in it. She looked around and found herself in an unknown place. In jerk she sat up and started staring around in surprise when her eyes stopped on a man standing over there before her. After pressurization on mind she got to know him..

"Adi sir??'

She tried to stand up.

"Relax Geet''

Adi stopped her standing and gave his friendly smile.

"How are you feeling now??''

Geet nodded in positive. But still she was confused how did she come here and why Adi was there. Sensing her question Adi replied himself.

"You were not in sense so Maan sir brought you here yesterday night, in this hospital. He also sent me here to see you that how you are''

"Maan!!!' Partially she remembered what had happened. How she was running away from him and how, she had been blocked by him and then'.

"What happened after that???''

She could not remember.

"Geet.. sir told me to give you this'

Adi handed her an envelope. Geet surprisingly took it and opened and read..

"Appointment letter???''

She shocked. She could not react more just stared it with confused eyes.

"You don't need to reply now Geet. Just take time and think and then tell us'' He gave his number and left saying a car is waiting outside for her to drop her home.

Last night..

Maan was in thought where to carry unconscious Geet with him. He was so surprised with his own behavior and could not trust on himself nor could have taken her in Mansion. He did not know her address so decided to admit in hospital as she had needed to be treated. He admitted her there and called Adi, his friend more than an employee and said to stay there with her and he left.

Night was running very slow for him. His mind was disturbed and whole body was feeling like heavy burden he was carrying with. He was not able to handle this imbalanced state. Whole night he spent inquiring about Geet from Adi. He had been living in guilt for what he had behaved with her in office and now, his act.. his intimacy with her was troubling him more. Finally when it was about to get morning, his eyes got tired and he slept.

Geet was confounded. One she could not remember about last night, what Maan would have done with her.. why she was here, in hospital and now suddenly this appointment letter after all that insult, were so much for her to grab. She read paper and found she had to join from tomorrow.

"what's happening and why!!!'

After thinking much she halted idea of thinking further and came out of hospital to find a car was waiting for her but she did not go to it and thought to catch any taxi then remembered she has not any single coin with her. In frustration she tried to walk but did not know where she was and how far she had to go. Lastly, getting no option she sat inside car and said driver her address.
