Peoples voices do have the power to overthrow governments and corruption and bring criminals to justice.

When every woman thinks that it could have been her or her child or her sister, she will speak.

When every man thinks that it could be his daughter, his sister or his mother then he too will speak.

There is a lot of good in people everywhere, they just need to keep speaking till they are heard.

The only problem is that most people have a short attention span and so daily life takes over and in the daily struggles this one girl will be forgotten. I pray not. May the chain of support that she has from all sources not break. She has suffered enough.

I was talking with Ashu before and would like to say here again.

There was this discussion going on Radio today morning about what kind of punishment should be delivered on cases like this.

Almost everyone voted for death sentence in one form or another.

There was this one gentleman who suggested something that stayed with me the whole day.

He said there should be a separate jail for rapists to be headed by a woman IPS officer and she would take care of the rest.

As for this specific case, one request to all, IF you haven't read the details of this case already then please don't. I know, curiosity is only natural but please do yourself a favor and refrain.

I don't know what would happen to the criminals. If they would be jailed, castrated, hanged, shot, but as of now I whole heartedly pray that the girl recovers body and soul.

And as for justice, my only prayer would be PROMPT justice.

So, lets all of us here, just take a moment, close our eyes and PRAY for the woman, who is one of us.

Amen.
