Maan came home early that evening in the pretext of taking rest. Dadima too absorbed change in Maan's behavior. She decided to give him sometime and to ask him later. Then it became a routine for Maan to go orphanage for meeting Geet. Day by day their friendship started to grow. Geet started to feel comfortable with Maan but in case of Maan , he was totally into her.
One Saturday:
Geet: Maan... why don't you get married? Dadima really wanted you to get settled in your personal life.
Maan with a smile: Geet...you too started. It's not like I will not get married. I will one day and you will surely see it.
Maan(st): how can my marriage will be without you Geet.
Geet teasingly: ok Maan but don't make me wait my whole life to see your weeding...
Suddenly Maan took this as an opportunity to know Geet's thought about maariage.
Maan: ok ... leave my case. Why don't you get married?
Geet face became all serious by hearing Maan.
Maan: Geet... what happened... why your face turned pale all of a sudden.
Geet: sorry Maan. I didn't say about my life to you right. I was married.
Maan with shock: what ? Your married?
Geet in tears: Maan I was married . Me and my husband got divorced within 2 years of our marriage life. We belong to a middle class family. From the start he didn't like living middle class life , he always wanted to be rich. Our life was smooth suddenly one day he came and told me that he loves someone, he no longer can live in this life . He said the girl he loves belong to a rich family. It came as a big shock for me, when he told I meant nothing to him. I tried explaining him that money always doesn't give happiness but he was no were to listen. You know Maan, suddenly one day, me and my mom lost everything in our life. I struggled a lot because I have to take care of my mom, wants to find a job, our house rent, more to that I have to face this society as divorce. It was too much for me. Then I decided that I need to earn that money because of which he left me. I really wanted to prove my worth to him. That's why I shifted from Mumbai to Delhi this is where he lives.
Maan was shocked and at that same time proud of her . Maan always loved her for what she is but today the love he has for her has increased thousand times. Yes... he still loves her, loved her more than his life.
Maan: Don't worry Geet. I will do my best to help you. I will always support you in ur life. It's a promise as a best friend of you. Maan (st): Not only as a best friend Geet but also as a person who loves you.
Geet: Thank you Maan. Ok leave the past. Actually I forgot to inform you. Your coming to my house for dinner tonite. Don't forget to bring Dadima with you.
Maan thought to make the atmosphere little lite.
Maan: sure Geet. No problem. By the way , who is going to cook for tonite.
Geet: why Maan, me and my mom. My mom really cooks well.
Maan with a smile: Thank god, I am safe tonite. I thought you alone going to cook.
Geet: Maa...stop teasing me. I will cook well. I am my mother's daughter you know.
Maan: lets see that tomorrow morning, if I am alive...
Geet: Maan ... go away from here before I throw something on you.
Maan holding his ears: ok... ok.. sorry... I was just teasing you.. ok I will meet you tonite.
Geet: That's better. ok Maan . I am off now. I have a important work to do. Bye.
Maan: hey...where is your apartment.
Geet: oh forgot to mention. Come to city apartment.
Maan: ok bye.
Suddenly Maan thought: city apartment...wait... wait...I have already been to that apartment.
Then his thought process is disturbed by a phone call and Maan totally forgot about that.
At Geet& interiors:
Geet: pinky, I want each and every details of Verma & interiors... their on gping projects, future projects, everything...
Pinky: sure Geet. I will get it.
Geet: pinky make sure that this information that you collect shouldn't be known to them.
Pinky: ok . no problem. I will see through that.
At night:
Geet was waiting for Maan and Dadima in the entrance of the apartment gate to receive them.
Geet: Maan, why are you late? See dadima, he is always late when it comes to personal, if it is some professional meeting, he will be on time.
Dadima: your right beta. Let him be here. We will go inside.
Geet: ok Maan. You're not allowed . Let me take dadima to my apartment.
Maan: This is not fair dadima, as soon as you see her, your taking her side. By the way Geet , I am not hungry.
Geet hugging dadima: she is always with me and better you come with us or else you will be standing outside.
Maan made a puppy face and followed them . He was surprised to see that Geet is taking them to Rano ma's apartment. Then everything came straight to Maan but he didn't say anything to Geet. He just wanted to surprise her.
Geet: Dadima and Maan pls come in and she shouted mom they came.
Rano: ya beta..coming...
Rano wished dadima and was surprised to see Maan standing.
Maan: hello ma..
Saying so he took her blessings...
Rano: long live son. Maan, you here.
Maan: yes ma. I really didn't know that Geet is your daughter. I am so surprised.
Geet: wait... wait..you two know each other...
Dadima: I am too confused.
Rano amd Maan smiled at each other.
Rano: nothing Geet. Once when I went for shopping Maan helped me with my baggages. Right beta...
Saying so she signaled Maan to say yes.
Maan: ye..s...s Geet. Ma is right.
Rano: ok ok . Diner is ready shall we eat.
Maan: yes ma...I am very hungry.
Geet: see dadima. Sometime before, he said he was not hungry right.
Maan: Geet... are you coming to eat or not.
Geet: ya.. ya coming. Come dadima.
All four enjoy each other company. Rano and dadima felt comfortable with each other.
From that day on, Dadima and Rano relationship increased day by day. When dadima wants to go to temple , Rano will accompany her. Their relationship turned out to be like mother and a daughter.
