Part 20

Geet is my fiance '' rahul stated with attitude, showing his win..wanting to see maan reaction eagerly. His eyes were deepening with maan, searching any sign of jealousy or anger, but his wait never got over. Maan was calm, without motion like his mind did not register what he said. He waited n waited and when his wait ended, he shocked.

Maan smiled and raised his hand toward rahul "congrats rahul '' he said.rahul confused seeing maan calm expression. He could not find any change in him. And how could he when no one could understand, what maan singh khurana think or do.

Geet was sitting in her cabin, lost in her thought. She was lost in what she witnessed since morning. She witnessed maan care and a strange emotion in his eyes. She was confused with why maan was concern for her. Yesterday also he came hospital in very terrified state and today also, he was hurt seeing her in pain. "ye maan asa kyu kar rahe hai '' question wandering in her mind when her phone rang. She picked. It was maan.

"geet meri cabin me aao''

"ji sir'' saying she rushed to him when she passed rahul, who was going toward her cabin. She crossed him without seeing him. It angered him . Geet knocked maan door and went inside.

"sir.. you called me '' she said, seeing no response from maan.

"hmm.. baitho'' he spoke without seeing her. She sat. they both were silent. Its been about fifteen minute when finally geet asked " sir..why did you call me ''

maan looked her. "geet .. I m your boss. Whenever I want I can call you.. do you have any problem '' he said. She made faces " dust danav kahi ka.. ek toh bina matlab ke bulaya uper se kuch pucho, to daant bhi raha hai '' she blabbered.

"geet.. mujhe sab sunaai de raha hai '' maan said without looking her.

"kyaa.. wo.. mai toh..ase hi.. wasi sir aapne mujhe kyu bulaya '' she again asked as she got bore sitting without any job

"geet.. cant you sit quite .. bolna jaruri hai '' he said irritated yet enjoying her antics.

"hmm '' she sat quite.. started her drooling session , secretly

Rahul was sitting in geet cabin, waiting for her to come. He knew maan intentionally called her in his cabin and he dint want to go, without her. He once decided to go maan cabin to take her but he was afraid, geet would protest cause she dint know yet, about this alliance. He dint want to be insulted in front of maan so he decided to wait here only.

Geet was still waiting n waiting n waiting and thinking about why she is here when she dint get any job to do yet. She wanted to work with him and here, she was sitting jobless since two days and still unknown with her position. She dint get why maan gave her job, when he own dint have to give her any work. In her thought she was cursing and blabbering and suddenly she blabbered out loud " mai aapke sath kaam nahi karna chahti ''.. she covered her mouth instantly, finding what did she say...

Maan dumbstruck with her shout. ''isse achanak kya ho gaya '' he thought. "geet tum pagal ho gayi ho '' he asked her being quite rude and confused.

" nahi wo.. mai .. wo '' she could find what to say. She was stammering

"geet .. kuch bologi.. m waiting.. kyu kaam nahi karna chahti tum?? '' he took it serious

"nahi sir wo.. you dont give me any job toh maine ase hi kah diya '' she said, looking down.

"hmm.. thik hai .. do one thing.. uss shelf ko clean karo '' he said pointing toward a already well maintained file shelves.

"per sir..ye to pahle se hi clean hai ''

"geet.do what I told you.. samjhi tum ''

"yes sir.. '' she stood hurriedly and in term of going there her same ankle collided to table. She winced.

'geet !! '' maan rushed to her. He lifted her and brought to sofa. He carefully put her down and sat next to her, avoiding her plead. He held her ankle, gave her shiver. She was very conscious, feeling his near him. Maan was lost in concern, dint look to her. He was really caring her hurt. He took out balm and massaged, shouting her not to walk looking properly but geet was enjoying his anger. She could see concern in his eyes for her and now she wanted to ask, why is it?? Why maan is behaving like this since yesterday ? Why he gave her job here when, she dint even needed ?? why he care for her if she be in trouble ? Why ?? she wanted all her answer today and she would ask '

" maan '' she whispered, lost in his trance.

"kya hua geet,, jyada dard hai ?? hum doctor ke pass chalte hai '' he worriedly asked

"nahi mai thik hu .. wo I wanted to ask you something'' she said.

Maan looked her eyes. He felt good seeing relief there. He had forgot his bet, his challenge, his everything, seeing just one frown on her forehead. He was still in her spell when she asked her question

"maan aap ye sab kyu kar rahe hai ??? ''
