" Thank God you are ok" Maan left a reliefe breath when he saw her, safe and sound.

" Kaha chali gait hi tum, aise bina bole kohi jaata hain kya? Maine kya dho bathein kehdiya aur tum bura maanli...I was so worried about you...do you know how restless I was since afternoon...I know I said few mean things which might have hurt you but trust me geet...it wasn't intentional...do you have any idea how much I was wor""maan couldn't finish his sentence.

Geet "Chup! Bilkul chup!" breaking from hug.

Geet "Professor you talk like winning pooh" Maan started at her as if she is talking alien.

Maan saw a little cut near to her lips. Automatically his hand reached her face without breaking the eye contact.

Geet forgot everything when maan's thumb touches her lips. She lost in his eyes forgetting the sorrundings and the people around them.

Maan "You scared me to death..!! Don't you dare do it again" said breathlessly.

Geet "hmmm? What? " confused geet asked him, before he could answer

Geet yelped with pain due to the wound on her thigh "Ouch..! HollyCrap""

Before maan could say or help her, a guy came running towards them where they were standing.

"Geeettt!"

Geet turned around to look at the guy and moved back a bit from Maan's arms.

"Vicky..? What are you doing here?" Geet asked him with irritating tone.

Vicky straight away hugged her suddenly "Heard you killed that bitch..Wahh my sherni..." Vicky left a sigh breath when he saw her.

Geet "Vicky..! now don't start with your prais-a-lord shit.." replied again in irritating tone.

Vicky laughed at her commet and hugged her once again "You know how I much i love you and worried for u right?"

Maan was watching all this mutely until now wondering who might be this guy who hugging his geet.. his geet?

Maan lost his cool self when he herad L word.

"Escuse me..!! Who are you?" Maan moved between geet and Vicky.

Before geet could reply

Vicky asked him immediately pulling geet towards him "And who are you mister?"

Geet "Vicky stop..! Professor..he is"" before she completes vicky answered.

"I am Geet's fianc" vicky said looking at fuming maan.

Fiance word ringed in maan's mind "Fiance? Fiance? " Maan looked at geet disbelief with a raised brow.

Geet closed her eyes with pain when she saw maan's retreating back.

Maan didn't say a word; he just turned back and walked towards ICU.

Maan couldn't digest the fact that geet is engaged so someone, She is someone's .. Nor he point out at the feelings making him restless. His heart felt a pinch of pain when he heard Vicky say L word.

Vicky "Geet..Geet..where u lost?..I asked you something"

Geet "Huh? Yeah..I will talk with DJ(daarji). You don't worry..I will take care of this matter...you worry about the baby"

Geet limped to the chair and sat down when the pain was so unbearable.

"Geet..why are you limping? Are you hurt..?"Vicky asked her with concern.

"Yeah..! just a simple knife wound..Giving me a hell lot of pain"geet said still looking at the ICU glass door.

"Did you get that treated?"asked vicky sitting beside her.

"Yeah..I did" geet sighed with a pain.

"By the way who is that guy..!"

Geet replied "The great Hopology scientist, Professor. Maan Singh Khurana"

Vicky's jaw dropped "WHAT? He is prof.MSK? Good god..! He is so ..so ..so err young. I thought he is 50 some and have pot like belly guy"

Geet laughed at his comment "Tell me about it" and all of a sudden her laugh died when she saw Amarjeet coming towards her with blank look.

Amarjeet "Ma'm We have secured the hospital surroundings and allotted guards at ICU"

Geet stood up slowly with the help of Vicky "Good..! Thank you officer..!"

Amarjeet "Ma'm you are relieved from this case. We have arranged 4 commandos to be with professor 24/7"

Geet didn't like that "Officer..! Who gave you the permission to take decisions in my case?"

Mr.Shinde just joined them "I did..!" said bit strictly

"But Sir..! I haven't finished with the case yet. Still Profersr's life is in danger. You can't take me out of this case now."

Mr.Shinde "Miss.Handa this is not the palce to discuss all this. It's an order; you are off from this case and the duty of bodyguard to professor.. Take care of your self first and report back once you are fully recovered"

"But sir the leader of that gang is still out roaming freely ...anytime they can plan counter attack on professor."

Mr.Shinde "Miss.Handa, It's not only my decision .Professor MSK, himself requested me to put u off from this case. He doesn't want a bodyguard anymore. So I can't help it here. Hope you understand"

Geet's skipped a beat "WHAT?" she could say anything..Her heart felt heavey and hurt... she is angry, hurt and pathetic.

Vicky "Geet..!"

Geet controlled her anger & hurt and said "Okay! Sir if this is what professor wants. So be it.."

Mr.Shinde "Fine officer, meet me in office after your recovery..Take care"

Geet couldn't stand there for another second; she stormed towards ICU where Adi was kept.

Vicky "Geet..Geet..Where are u going? Wait.." vicky ran behind her.

Geet turned back fuming "Vicky leave me alone and go back to home. I will talk to you later"

Vicky "But Geet""

Geet "NOW..!" ordered him bit strictly.

Vicky knew she won't listen to him "Okay..but please take care of urself"

In ICU

Maan sat there staring at the echo machine which was connected to adi. He thought its better way to stay away from geet. He himself doesn't know what made him to do it. Was he angry? or jealous? On whom? now another new problem has araised to take care, he can't take risk with that.

Geet straight away walked to maan "Are you nuts professor? Have you lost your mind?..why you want me off from this case? And who are you to take decision on my case?"

Geet's face has become red due to anger "you listen to me carefully professor...I am not yet finished with this case nor I am going to back off..do u hear me?"

Maan couldn't meet her eyes, he was afraid to let her see his naked eyes. "Miss.Handa..My brother aditya is safe now and I'm really thankful to you for briging back my brother. Now there is nothing to be worried. Shaina is dead and Mr.Shinde has appointed 4 commandos for my security."

Geet"I am not going anywhere without knowing the reason. You better answer me professor..now"

Before geet say more, doctor entered.

"Mr.Khurana, I want to have a word with you. Could you please come to my cabin?" doctor asked maan.

"Sure doctor..give me 5 min" Maan replied looking at geet's fuming face.

Doctor said "Sure" and left them alone.

Maan "Miss.Handa..It's really nice knowing you. I ..I .. I will never forget you..Thanks for everything...take care of your self" he couldn't say another word, he came forward and kissed on her both cheeks and left the ICU without looking back and shocked geet.

MSK's Villa, Outhouse 3.00 AM

Geet was lost in thoughts while unwinding at the peice of cloth from her hands. After coming back from hospital geet kept herself busy at gym practicing martial arts. She is exhausted both mentally and physically yet she isn't calling it quit.

The pain in her wound is nothing compared to the pain she is experiencing emotionally. Maan's changed attitude towards her and asking her supiriors to take her off from case is making her feel something. Nothing is making sense to her, she is determined to talk with him and to know the real reason behind his decision.

Maan asked suddenly casuing geet to jump "Tum abhi takk yahi pe ho?"

"Aapko bahut jaldi hain mujhe yaha se nikaalne keliye?" geet felt hurt from his question, she didn't let him see the hurt on her face and answered him bit harshly.

"Don't worry professor I am not here to stay forever. But I want answeres from you to my questions" geet walked towards him limping slightly. Geet bit her teeth to suppress her yelp when she felt a pirecing pain at the wound. She leaned on to threadmill and closed her eyes for a sec and she felt a warm hand touch her face and minty hot breath on her face.

Maan came back from hospital late after get assurance of Adi's speedy recovery from doctors and gaurds watching him 24/7.

He saw the outhouse light still on, he thought geet must have forgotten to off the light before leaving the outhouse. But to his surprise, geet was still up in gym, lost in somewhere strating at the wall. He could clrealy see the hurt on her face and he wanted to gather her in his arms and cry till his heavy heart becomes light, share all his secretes and never let her go from his life.
