actually i was getting bored with the lack of creativity of my brain so i thought i wud amuse u with this tale instead... this is not my creation, i give full credit to the author Day Leclaire for this story...while reading it i enjoyed imagining it with maaneet and wanted to share the experience with u...so this goes out especially to those friends who wanted to read something new and had been demanding updates...Sara, i hope u will like thisđ
most of the story is in her own(le claire's) words, i've just tweaked it a bit to fit in as a small SS with only maaneet scenes...
so here goes the prologue:
The Proposal
" Miss Handa,"he stood up to offer his hand to the woman who entered his cabin. In the black conservative suit with her hair pulled back from her face and the glasses perched on her nose, she presented a perfect picture of a business executive.
"Mr. Khurana," she acknowledged him with a handshake.
Her voice had a husky timbre to it making him dream of dim lights and satin sheets.
Doing a quick background check on her after she had asked for a meeting with him he had discovered that she had an MBA degree and was assisting her uncle in the running of their business empire. The Handa Incorporated owned an office in the same office complex as his. The Handas belonged to the elite business class and was welcomed with open arms into any social gathering. He wondered what the purpose of this meeting was. She was not very forth coming about it. "to discuss a business proposition that would be beneficial for both parties" that was the exact words her secretary had used.
Now the only business interest that he had with the Handas was the property in Hoshiarpur. His company had approached the Handas regarding the sale of it but had been turned down citing that the property belonged to Miss Geet Handa and that she was not interested to sell. What had made that land hot for him was the vested interest Arjun Sinha had on it.
He continued to asses her as he waited for her to speak. She had an attractive face, he mused, with creamy skin with a hint of blush on her cheeks. She was not as cool as she wanted him to think, he could deduce from the stiffness in her posture.
"Can I offer you something, tea , coffee something cold?" he broke the silence wishing to put her at ease.
"No,thank you, Mr. Khurana," she began "and thank you for meeting me at a short notice."
"Your secretary mentioned a business proposition..."
"Well yes ..." she pushed back her glass to the top of her nose and sat forward. "You are interested in a piece of land that belongs to me."
"Yes the Hoshiarpur property. Is this meeting regarding that? Are you willing to sell us the land?"
"Well, I am willing to consider giving you the land," she paused "but on a condition."
"Condition?"
"You see the land is a part of my dowry. I will gift you the land provided you marry me."
interesting? you won't forget to let me know, na?đ
