I think it was attraction towards Geet. They had moments prior to that scene - when she tripped & he caught her at her house after returning her dupatta, when Geet peeked out from her dad they also shared an eyelock then.
Maan was well aware it was Geet & was mesmerised as she made her way in & he removed her dupatta but then he had to act surprised to conceal his initial feelings.
Just my opinion 😳
