Why are people so rude?

I don't really make posts often. But i felt this is an issue. I've been noticing that many people have been insulting Melanie Pais's (i'm not sure how to spell her name :S) appearance lately. They are making derogatory comments and i simply find it unacceptable. I understand and agree that the character she is PLAYING can get annoying, but i see no reason to insult THE ACTRESS because i dislike the character she happens to be portraying.

I agree completely - I find it surprising how everyone can make such remarks about her. I find her character annoying but theres no need to post such horrible remarks on her appearance . . . and she isn't ugly at all! i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone has their own opinions and tastes but insulting her for a character she is portraying is out of order. I'm sure none of you would like it if someone said that about you - whatever has been said of Melanie. I'd just like to say look at yourself in the mirror first before you say something about someone else. I don't mean to be rude at all but it needs to be said

i agree completely... most of us dislike the character and probably not too fond of the girl's acting... but that gives nobody the right to make derogatory remarks about her appearance and call the actress names...

As much as I dislike the character of Nandini (and to a certain extent Melanie's acting skills), I do agree that it is definitely not acceptable to berate or make derogatory comments about her looks and personality.
