@Meetu:About staying positive I pretend to be in the Land of the Lotus eaters where happiness is permanent😊. Though its hard in real life but it works for me😊. Compared to other shows GHSP is still far better😃 the old epis spoilt us na😛. My mom says the same thing about Nandu's teeth display😡.

@ anu: agree with u... ghsp has always been positive winning over negativity... thats one thing which i like abt the show since in other show the ratio of positivity winning over negativity is 1:10 which gets me frustrated.. every show does show main leads winning at last but only after lots of sacrifices and for once i wonder does winning after so much sacrifice does it even matter .. some time one looses almost everything by the time truth triumphs..

Also, I have been thinking about things from MP's perspective and I realised something. Yes he has had 11 years of experience but what has been the atmosphere of Indian TV in the last 11 years? As far as I know, it has mostly been based on the idea, "dish out some OTT drama and suspense and those silly housewives will eat it up!"

However, we are seeing a change now in the last few years. More and more shows are coming out with logical premises, and not only of the saas-bahu variety. Even on SP now, they have a variety of shows, which all have saas and bahu but are not necessarily about kitchen politics, take our frenemy show for example. So even SP is trying to branch out.

When both viewers and creators are starting to take the TV medium more seriously, people like MP lose their place. He clearly has the skills that were relevant for TV, maybe 6-7 years ago like dragging storylines, covering inconsistencies with more inconsistencies, not taking careful consideration of the past story when you are writing the current, etc. The NT storyline probably stopped because he didn't know how to take it forward without separating Maaneet or causing a huge MU and the PH have probably saddled him with this positivity thing and to him positivity means comedy.

So if MP says he has 11 years of experience that does not mean he is any good, because the attitude that prevailed with the rise of Ekta and her saas-bahu sagas was that neither writers nor most viewers took the serials that seriously. It had a niche audience of housewives and that was enough for TRPs so they never put in any effort. Now with the emergence of a variety of quality shows in the past few years, viewers demand more than what MP knows how to give, especially on a show like Geet. Either he doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand why Geet is different from any of the shows he has done before and why he has to change his writing for it because he has a mountainous ego.

Basically, he should start taking his work seriously and keep up with the times or just retire.

saw sbb segment of dd s London trip. she was with suhana, akshara, naitik and eshaan. she was in purple lehenga and said she performed on munni badnaam hui... they were taking photos with starplus banner at back ground.. dd seemed to be so happy there.
