Schooling were the beautiful days of my life 'with my friends snehal , payal and richa around I never realized the words called "boredom" .. Now it's time for us to enter a new phase of our life "college". With lots of dreams, we applied to some of the top colleges in the city. Being thick friends from our 6th grade, we hoped that we would get placed in the same college. But everything wont work as per our plan..Will it??? I and snehal got placed in same college but different departments while the other two got placed in different college... In spite of different placements, we never failed to meet each other after our day's class... Having joined Day College, we found ample time to spend with'
Days passed and I got many friends in my department...My classes get over earlier than snehal and I end up waiting for her to finish her practical's '. Later I would drop her in bus stop and then leave for my home..
Second year of my college life was the turning point in my life. One fine day, one of our lecturers made an announcement regarding some projects .A team with two members. Everyone paired with their friends and left out where I and another girl named "Ria"... I was left with no other option than pairing up with her for the project... She was the beauty queen of our class.. As time passed, I got to know her more and became the best buddies. It was all needed for the trouble to start '
Ria was the naughty girl of our class and spends most her time with her mobile chatting with her boy friend who stays abroad... She often used to mention about her parents negligence of love and care for her.. this made me spend time with her even more that I started inviting her to my home more often .. I noticed that my parents had started giving her more attention and importance that she ever needed '
Our internship was arranged in my brothers company for a period of one and half month..As days passed, we learnt a lot of things ' we got some more friends and spend our weekend partying up with them.. One such day, a new person named "karan" entered our company as the manager for the branch where we worked. He was tall, slim and a good looking guy with a fair complexion. Myself and Ria got instantly clicked with karan due to his jovial nature..it was love at first sight for him with Ria .. Later when he got to know that she was already in love with someone, he was heartbroken ' but what I dint know was Ria too fell in love with him 'I was too shocked... After I enquired her, she accepted it giving an excuse of her boyfriend dumping her... I believed her and somehow our internship got over and we returned to our routine college life '
We were in our final year of college... Being my close friend, Ria never left my side thus preventing others from talking to me... I left it thinking that she was possessive towards me..but something was cooking in her mind ..i dint realize that she was bridging a gap between me and my other friends '. The routing schedule of dropping snehal got changed due to Ria and I end up giving lame excused to snehal .. Ria started bring her own vehicle and later drop me at home.. silly fights started making roots between me and Ria but we somehow patched up the very days .. I started losing concentration on my studies and I failed to realize my falling grades.. After some days, I got to know that there had been some problem with Ria family and that she had decided to go for a registered marriage with her boy friend karan'
Days passed and everything went smooth' one day I got to know from my brother about the worst character of Ria and he barred me from contacting her '. However being a true friend, I refused to believe him and we ended having a severe fight... Even my college lecturers advised me to stay away from her but I never listened to anyone '.
As days passed, Ria started missing her classes from time to time ' one day I happened to see her father waiting for someone near the college gate... when I enquired about her health to him , he replied that he had dropped her to the college that morning and how come I haven't see her for days ?? I was totally shocked.. We started searching for her madly and later at evening we got to know that she had eloped with her boyfriend and done a registered marriage...
I happened to meet her after few days and visited her home..I knew what she did was wrong .. she convinced with a bunch of lies and being a friend I had to support her as her parents refused to accept the newly web couples.. I had a talk with my mom and dad regarding this and asked them to help her ' dad being a strict person he refused to do any sort of help to her.. but somehow mom agreed and we helped her with the basic utensils and provisions needed for running a family .. I even helped her unknown to any one when she asked for some financial help... This was happening on a regular basis.. Our semester results were out '. I was in need of money for paying my semester fees.. it was then I had to ask her to return money .. This when she started showing her true colours .. There was a saying that "never involve in a financial transaction between friends and relatives or you end being a loser". I guess I should have realized it before' but now It was too late ' when I asked for my money back , there happened a little fight between us and she stated that she was planning for a divorce from her husband and I should ask him for my money .. It was all to escape from that situation..
My college days were over... I had to go to college for getting my certificates with my parents... They accidentally got to see Ria and went towards her for a casual chat... but there happened the thing that we never expected even In my dreams ' my parents were so shocked with her rude behavior and were nothing to say ' after some days , I let them know about my financial helps to her .. They were quite shocked and scolded me for my immature behavior... My father and I went to her house and asked for return of money... She started giving lame excuses and called her husband... He was none the less' we were forced to leave their house by their harsh behavior...
I started getting calls from my other friends asking for reason for money borrowel from Ria ... when I explained them the situation , they let me know that she had posted a message on a social networking site stating that I had borrowed from her and not returning her ' I was totally numb .. ll be there any persons lower than her in the world ???
Money never mattered me... But I was deeply hurt the way she behaved with my parents' I supported her even against my brother's protest'. But all I got in return were continuous insults'' I always believed her and supported even against my family '. I joined the college thinking I would be able to achieve my dreams and turn it into a reality...but I never realized that choosing a wrong person as a friend will affect my life entirely ' I lost my precious friends who were with me since childhood '.. I lost my dignity '. I lost my ranks '. My heart is still hurt hoping for a cure of this never disappearing scar '..
geet snapped out of her thoughts , when he heard the car horn ... she looked through the window and found her handsome hunk getting out the car and winking at her .. She smiled and made her way towards him...
