One of Star One's much popular shows 'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi' is ending later this month, BizAsia.co.uk can confirm.

The show has been underperforming for some time and also does not fit in with the channel's new repositioning. It's been widely reported on BizAsia.co.uk that Star One will reposition as a secondary entertainment channel to Star Plus. It will be known as Star Desh from next month.

With this change, the channel has recently been on axing spree on shows that have are not clicking well with audiences but also that do not fit in line with the channel's new positioning.

'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi' is another one of the shows, which will be bidding adieu on Friday 30th September (in India). Before the curtain goes down the show is all set to see another cameo. Amit Jain will be making an entry as Ranveer Nandini's (Melanie Pais) friend. He has begun to shoot for the show today.

According to a source at TellyChakkar, "The show will now focus on the love story of two couples Maan-Geet and Dev-Nandini. Meanwhile, Amit Jain will play the cupid between Dev-Nandini and he will make them realise their love for each other. Despite Geet's motivation Dev (Samir Sharma) has not been able to express his feelings. However, Ranveer's presence will make him jealous and he will bring them closer."

To confirm if the show is soon ending TellyChakkar spoke to Samir Sharma (Dev) who said, "We have been hearing about the rumours for a long time but we haven't received any confirmation on this."
