Broken bangles again!!
Then, it was Geet who, on account of her pregnancy, was fighting her feelings for MSK and was struggling against his attempts to establish a relationship between them. The night that he was to introduce his Grandma to the girl he was to marry, he confronted her and we had some broken bangles. She knew that he had developed feelings for her, but she could not reciprocate. She didn't want him to learn of the internal struggle she was going through -- a pregnant woman who had been cheated by a man and who was now in love with him. She told him that she didn't want to burden him with her burdens.
A year (in real life) has gone by.
And, we now have MSK who, on account of his partial amnesia, is fighting his feelings for Geet and struggling against the attempts of Geet (and his whole family) to establish a relationship between them. The night that his Grandma invites guests to celebrate Teej (a festival to seek marital bliss) and the marriage of her grandchild(ren) -- he was constrained to confront her again -- this time to apologise to her; and again we have some broken bangles. He then learns that she erroneously thinks that he had developed feelings for her, but this time, he could not reciprocate. He doesn't want her to learn of the internal struggle he is going through -- a loner who does not believe in destiny, a loner who suspects that every small-town woman has ambitious monetary designs on rich men, a loner who has rejected marriage and a loner who is now told that he is married to a small-town woman (with a menagerie for her relatives) whom he loved beyond himself. He tells himself that he ought not to burden her with his burdens.
Then, while she knew that he loved her, she thought that she had no right to accept that love.Today, while he is told that she has the right to expect and accept that love, he does not remember that he loves her.
