In the bedroom:
It was the sun rays entering their bedroom that woke up Geet. She was still in his arms. He was sleeping and looked so innocent. The sun rays adding to his charm. And once again his arms were protectively around her waist. It had been days since they both shared such intimacy. All she did was touched his cheek lightly and said a lovely good morning. And then suddenly realizing where she was; she drew back. She couldn't yet be so close to him. They had just accepted each other and this was not right. Her movements woke Maan up and he too didn't realize that what was happening? He was feeling guilty of being so near to her.
But before he could speak she said something that left him wondering.
Geet: "Maan I am sorry. Mujhe aapke itne kareeb rehne ka haq nahi hai."
And with that sentence she left from there and went for a shower. Maan was left wondering there. Her words echoing in his ears. She has no rights to be near me? I am her husband. And I should be sorry for what happened yesterday. She was in a vulnerable state and all I did was comfort her. I am supposed to be the guilty one and she said a sorry and left. I can't take this anymore.
Maan: "Nahi Geet tumhe poora haq hai mere kareeb rehne ka. Tum meri biwi ho; shaadi ki hai humne; aur tumhe sharmindigi mehsoos karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Mujhe tumse baat karni hi hogi. Chahe uske liye mujhe tumhare saath zyakti kyun na karni pade."
He was waiting for her to be back from the shower. She came out as usual with her hair all wet and again the droplets fell on his face. He threw her towel down and grabbed her hands and pinned her against the wall. He was not going to let her go so easily. She has to listen to me. She has to know that what happened in the night; we were together; was not a mistake. And I will not let her feel guilty about it.
Geet: "Maan mujhe dard ho raha hai. Chodiye mujhe."
Maan: "Jab tak tum meri poori baat nahi sun leti main tumhe chodne nahi wala hoon. Geet tumhe kya lagta hai? Ki tumhara aur mera itna paas hona galat hai? Tumhara mujhpar koi haq nahi hai? Kya mera tumpar koi haq nahi hai? Tumne hi kaha tha ni ki tum meri jeevan sangini ho; to phir tumhe yeh kyun lag raha hai ki kal tum mere saath soyi thi to humse galati ho gayi? Bolo Geet? Kya tum mujhse pyaar nahi karti?"
"Tumhe takleef hoti hai jab main tumhare kareeb hota hoon? Tumhe mera yoon kareeb ana pasand nahi to theek hai. Agar yeh baat hai to phir theek hai; main tumse vaada karta hoon; ki jab tak tum is rishte ko aage nahi badhana chahti; main tumhare kareeb nahi aaonga. Aur yeh mere pyaar ka vaada hai. Par ek baat jaan lo Geet; tum jitna waqt lena chahti ho; le sakti ho kyunki tumhara yeh Maan tumahra intezaar karega. Manzoor hain na Geet?"
But before he could get an answer she was out of his grip; and was down in the kitchen.
Maan was left wondering as to what happened that she was behaving this way. Even after clearing out things; she didn't answer me. He didn't know what to do. He had proudly told her that till she herself is ready for a physical relation; I will wait. But how do I control the passion she triggers inside me? How do I not be in her arms when I need her support? How can I not want to take her in my arms and have those stupid nothings with her? But I will have to wait. I have already given her a lot of pain; and I don't want to be the reason again for the tears in her eyes. I promise you Mishty I will wait for you!
Mishty? Yes that's what I used to call her. I am remembering my past. My beautiful past that I shared with her. And then he remembers her feeding him the chocolate mousse. He was recollecting events! He was getting flashbacks of their some very intimate moments; but somehow he couldn't remember anything related to their marriage. He tried and stressed his brain; his mind but nothing made him remember. He decided that he has to wait for her now. All that he could do now was that. He respected her feelings and her the most. Their relationship was divine and pure; and he didn't want to make a mockery of their relation. He already had done enough damage by humiliating her in front of the whole staff. He quickly went for a nice hot shower; and when he came out; he saw the usual! He had acknowledged the fact that she had taken pains to take out his clothes; his wallet; his hanker chief and his car's keys. Also she kept his office briefcase and his important files on the study table. He wore the same clothes and without eating breakfast rushed to the office!
Geet saw him rush and before she could be running behind him he was gone from her sight. She felt bad; and she remembered that whet ever happened what not wrong. He must have felt so bad when I pushed him back. When infact he must have been there all night to comfort me; take care of me in my vulnerable state. I shouldn't have done that. I have to do something so I can apologize.
Geet: "Mujhe maaf kar dena Maan. Mujhe aapki zaroorat hai. Na sirf mujhe Dadima ko bhi. Aap mujh par gussa kijiye par mujhse yoon muh mod ke mat rahiye. Mujhse bardasht nahi hota. Nahi reh sakti Geet apne Maan ke siva."
In the kitchen:
And then an idea strikes her. She prepares the lunch. Sets up a table for two; and calls him. And he does come home; with a red rose in his hand.
Maan enters the kitchen when he could smell his favorite dishes and he calls out to his dear wife. Geet I am home. And she comes there wearing a beautiful magenta and violet colored sari with golden embroidery done on it with a sexy sleeveless blouse to top it! She had put up light make up and she was looking divine! He just smiled at her and gave her a red rose. She was surprised but took it and served him food. Both were enjoying this time all alone. And then finally he spoke.
Maan: "Geet main tumse maafi mangna chahta hoon. Aaj subah jo hua uske liye. Main tumhe takleef nahi dena chahta tha; bas yeh ehsaas dena chahta tha ki kal raat jo hua woh galat nahi tha. Hamare beech aisa kuch nahi hua. Tum sirf meri baahon main so gayi thi. Aur sach bataoo to mujhe yaad aaya ki hum shaadi ke baad aise hi sote the. Ek dusre ki baahon main."
"Mujhe ek aur cheeze yaad aayi. Main tumhe Mishty bulata thana? Sahi kaha na maine?
She just smiled in awe; here she was trying to say sorry and he already apologized. She smiled back at him; taking his hand in hers; entangling their fingers, she said;
Geet: "Maan aapko yaad aagaya. Main kitni khush ho. Wise sirf yeh naam nahi diya tha. Aapne to mujhe teraaso teenso naam diye hai. Shona; khwab; hoshiyarpur express; aur bahut saare. Aur haan; ek aur; badtameez ladki."
Maan: "Tumne sun liya us din hotel main. Mujhe to laga tha ki tum talli hone ke baad; tumne kuch nahi soona. Who jo kahani tumne sunayi; woh hamari thi. Aur mujhe kuch kuch yaad araha hai. Mujhe tumhari madad chahiye Geet. tum dogi na mera saath?"
Geet cupped his face; and said;
Geet: "Yeh kya sawaal hai? Aisa bhala ho sakta hai kya ki Geet apne Maan ka saath na de? Main aapki jeevan sangini hoon; jis rah par aap chalenge main aapka saath doongi. Aur mere liye ye kya kam hai ki aaj aap mere paas hai; sahi salamat. Aur waise bhi ab aapko nahi lagta ki aapko office jaana chahiye?
She said with a faint smile and there was something about the corner of his lips. And he just hugged her; and gave her a good bye kiss. And she didn't hesitate. She was much more calm and relaxed in his arms.
Maan: "Geet agar tum aaj raat ko mere saath dinner party par chalogi to mujhe accha lagega. Hamare ek client hai; jinke saath main aaj tak ki Khurana constructions ki sabse badi deal kar raha hoon; to main chahoonga ki meri patni waha mere saath aaye. Aaogi na Geet?"
She just nodded at his simple request! She said a bye to him and went back in their room.
In the bedroom:
She was thinking about what to wear and what jewellery should I wear with it. And just then Nakul comes with a packet in his hand.
It was a gift for her from Maan. He had gone to the shop to buy a lovely sari for her and had sent it home. Geet opened the little package, only to see a beautiful red sari, complete gold embroidery and beadwork. It was beautiful and Geet loved it, not only because of how it looked, but also because of the fact that her husband had chosen it for her. He had acknowledged her and the pains she takes for him; and he decided to return it. Just by buying her a sari. Just to tell her that though we have been apart for some time I love you the same. No; I love you more!
Carefully getting dressed, she put on some light makeup, her mangal sutra, dangling proudly from her neck, and a small pinch of sindoor. Yes. She knew her husband liked her getting dressed like this. But today her brain told her that he might not like it. But her heart over powered her brain. She dressed up as usual as he liked her to see. A complete Suhagan!
She decided to call him up. Maan was busy with meeting and couldn't attend his call. She left a message for him;
Geet: "Aap fir se Dusht danav ban gaye hai. Ek baar bhi mujhe call nahi kiya office jaane ke baad. Ek baar bhi nahi pooncha ki mujhe sari pasand aayi ki nahi? Bad ghar pe bhaj diya. Aur ab to kaam main aise phas gaye hai ki bhool gaye hai apni biwi ko. Aur main jaanti hoon; jaroor us nayi secretary ke saath flirt kar rahe honge. Inhe to sharam bhi nahi hai ki gahr par biwi hai. Ab lagta hai; ki inke maathe par likh dena chahiye; ki main ek shaadi shuda insaan hoon aur main apni patni se bahut pyaar karta hoon."
Saying this slammed the phone.
It was late in the evening and a driver came knocking on the door. Geet sat in the car and left for the venue. At the porch instead of the security guard; Maan opened the car door for her. And she blushed heavily! Maan was floored by the way his wife was looking as she glided down the steps. He quickly stepped towards her and grabbed her wrist, as bent down to whisper in her ear "You look so beautiful Geet" and placed a soft kiss on her ear, before letting go and leading her to the restaurant where their client was waiting!
In the restaurant:
Maan introduced Geet to the clients and was busy discussing business. He then excused himself on the pretext of going to the washroom as he had a plan running in motion.
Here Geet was all alone sitting with the client. He must be a man in his mid forties and his constant glaring was making Geet uncomfortable. Mr. Lobo was actually hitting on his clients wife. And he actually had the guts to touch Geet. When Maan saw this he was enraged. Geet ran straight into his arms. How disgusted she felt. Maan came there; kept Geet behind him and knocked him down.
Before leaving from there; he said something;
Mr. Lobo: "You will pay very heavily for this Mr. Maan Singh Khurana. You will pay badly. My company doesn't want to do business with you anymore. You will lose out on a lucrative business deal. And common I was just asking your wife if she was okay. And in such business deals; such things happen."
Maan: "Dare you utter her name Mr. Lobo. You have no right to do so. After doing such a disgusting thing; you actually have the guts to justify your act. Maan will lose out on his biggest business deal; but never let any person harm his wife. Disrespect her or misbehave with her. She is my wife Mr. Lobo and dare you try to contact me again. Infact I promise that I shall never have any business contact with you!"
"Maan can lose his company; his money; his property but not his wife's dignity! For me my wife is everything! She is my life and my world revolves around her. And with Geet besides me in the journey of life; I am the wealthiest man alive!"
Maan grabbed Geet and got her out of the restaurant and just took her to the temple.
At the temple:
Geet: "Maan hum yahan is waqt mandir main kya kar rahe hai? Mujhe ghar jaana hai maan. Main kahi nahi aana chahti. Mujhe dar lag raha hai Maan."
Maan: "Geet main hono na tumhare paas. To ab darne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Ab tumhe koi mere rehte huye tumhare taraf aankh uthake bhi nahi dekh sakta. Geet apne Maan par bharosa hai na?"
Geet just nodded and was again his arms sobbing. She couldn't get over the fact that she was a victim of eve teasing. Maan was caressing her hair and her cheek and was calming her down.
Maan: "Geet meri ek baat manogi?"
Geet: "Maan boliye."
Maan: "Mujhse shadi karogi? Kyunki main hamare shaadi ke har ek rasam aur rivwaaz ko phirse jeena chahta hoon. Geet main nahi jaanta ki mujhe kabhi kuch yaad aayega ki nahi? Par main isliye hamare rishte ko aur tumhe aur khood se door nahi rakh sakta. Bolo Geet? Karogi mujhse shaadi?"
Geet just nodded in her usual antic way and hugged him tight! With that the two were remarried! They took the vows and Maan reapplied the sindoor for Geet, and the two prayed to God that this time, they would stay together forever.
Maan: "Chalein Geet?"
Geet: "Ab aur kaha leke jaa rahe hai aap mujhe?"
Maan: "Har shaadi shuda insaan apni shaadi ki raat kya karte hai?"
He said with naughtiness in his eyes and Geet blushed profusely!
And with that the couple was back into their room which he had told to be redecorated just like the wedding night!
Geet was standing looking outside the window. She couldn't believe her luck that she was remarried! This means so much! I can't explain how much I love you Maan! Just can't.
Going up behind her, and grabbing her waist, encircling her with his two arms, Maan pulled her against him. Leaning into her ear, he whispered "Here's to a new beginning" and turned his wife around in one quick move. He leaned down and planted a kiss on her lips, slowly easing them open as they both drowned themselves in each other, their tongues fiercely battling, their love shining through.
While they were getting more intimate with Maan's fingers making patterns on her back; he was exploring her with his lips. She couldn't resist him any longer. She was with him; and he gently picked her up and rushed them to the bed! Maan slowly came there and sat next to her. He first removed her Ghoonghat and placed a gentle kiss near her ear lobe! His touch was making her all the more vulnerable!
He placed her on the bed; lying besides herself. He wanted to grasp her; confess to her how much he loves her; wanted to make love. But he had to wait; there were many walls; not social; but he respected Geet and couldn't go against her wishes. He gently met his lips with hers; and she responded. She was ready to submit to the man whom she is
in love with. But he needed an assurance; was she read for this? Is she ready to submit to me? I know she loves me; but still I need an assurance!
She looked deep into his eyes and he read them; this is what she wanted!
As the candles were blown away; the couple cherished their night of unison.
It was a total new beginning for them!
