She sat there looking at his charming and innocent face. She had somewhere lost her Dusht danav and the separation was killing her. She still sat dumbfounded at the fact that he had forgotten her. Her Maan had forgotten her.
She remembered him saying only one thing that night in the village.
Maan: "Geet meri zindagi tumse hai; mera pyaar tumse hai; aur meri jeene ki wajah tum ho Geet. Sirf tum Geet!"
Yes that's what he had said. Unspilled tears formed in her eyes. How much had changed since that one last time she was in his arms. Safe and secure that she was. One touch of his and she would forget her miseries and she would be ready to support him; be his strength and hoping that they will come out winning out of all this.
How far had they traveled and what had transpired between them. They were a happily married couple a few days ago and today; he doesn't even know that I am his wife.
Geet: "Yeh kya kar diya aapne Babaji? Maine to sirf aapse Maan ka aur mera saath maanga tha; aur kuch nahi. Sirf Maan aur meri zindagi ki khushiyaan hi maangi thi. Aur aapne mujhse meri sabse badi daulat leli Babaji. Main jaanti hoon ki Maan ko ek din sab yaad ajayega aur woh mujhe apnayenge. Lekin woh din aayega kab Babaji? Ab mujhse aur bardasht nahi hota Babaji."
"Aisa kya gunaah kiya hai maine jiski saza aap mujhe de rahe ho? sirf aapne suhaag ko bachane ke liye maine aapna saara dard chupaya aur Maan ko sambhalti rahi. Aur jis waqt pe Maan ko meri zaroorat thi; aapne unse mujhe cheen liya. Aapne theek nahi kiya. Aur ek din aap is cheez ke liye pachtava karenge."
Saying this she was about to get up when she fell on the bed. She was too exhausted by the recent turn of events and was about to sleep when she heard a knock on the door. She opened to door to see the waiter with a steaming hot tea in his hand. He handed over the cup and left. She placed the cup and sat recollecting the past events. As soon as she remembered their first meeting; her eyes became moist and in a bid not to cry and wake him up; she placed her hand above her mouth. All she could do now was recall their memories and live her whole life he didn't remember her at all. And then she recalled their meeting in her room.
They had barely managed to get one room at the village in that hotel. And she went and sat next to him. She gently placed her palm on his cheek and was lovingly when she remembered a day in her life.
A day that changed her life. Her life took a dramatic turn and she was very thankful to Babaji as he had listened to her silent prayer of one of his most loyal followers. She remembered their out house fight. Then the breaking of his photo frame and then her running behind him and finally spotting him in a Dargah.
She didn't recall everything but thise words kept playing in her ears as a broken record.
Fakir Baba: "Bande ke raah pe Allah nahi chalte Balki Allah ke raah par bande chalte hai."
And how true was that saying. She realized that she loved him. But was afraid of a future with him. She had a past that she never ever wanted to relive. She was afraid that if I tell him the truth he might leave me like others. She was afraid that the one man that mattered the most to her; would accuse her of betraying his love. But then he had said something that echoed in her heart; right now.
Maan: "Geet hamari zindagi ke kuch faisle hum nahi balki hamari taqdeer karti hai. Aur woh aie faisle hote hain jeenke saamne hum jhonkte hai. Aur wohi faisle hamari aakhri manzil hote hai."
Is this was the truth; she has to let her self submit her self to Babaji. Let him decide what he will do with his followers.
She said a silent prayer. And gently lowered her lips to meet his forehead when he jolted seeing a nightmare. She was startled. He hugged Geet tight.
Babaji had finally heard her prayers; and blessed her. He gave her; her Maan back! Babaji gave her; her life back! It all came back to her!
Maan: "Geet mujhe sab kuch yaad agaya. Tum meri patni ho; tum mera pyaar ho. tum meri Mishty ho!"
Geet's joys knew no bounds. She couldn't thank her Babaji for what he had given. Take anything from me; even me for that matter but give my Maan back!
It was as if Destiny had tested them enough. It was like destiny adored his two favorite children happy with each other in each others arms.
And then she remembered that she needs to thank one person the most! Her only hope who fulfilled it! The Malik at the Dargah!
It was then that he had gifted her Maan; and today he had given him back to her! He gifted her most precious thing again!
Geet had rightfully said: "Mere Maan ka mol to khud Babaji bhi bahi laga sakte."
Maan looked deep into her eyes which reflected how much she loves me! He was grateful to the Malik for giving Geet to him!
Maan: "Geet main tumse wada karta hoon ab tumhe chodke kabhi nahi jaoonga."
Geet: "Aur main bhi wada karti hoon ki main zindagibhar aapka saath doongi."
Maan: "Ab zindagi har subah aur har shaam tumhaare naam"
And then even Maan had flashbacks of Dargah. It was like his entire life; all those precios moments spent with her played like a film!
Maan: "Geet ab utho aur mere saath chalo."
Geet didn't utter a word and followed him.
He led her to the car and himself sat in the drivers seat. Needless to say, Geet was shocked when Maan stopped their car in front of the mandir. "Maan, here?" she questioned, not that she wasn't happy, but because she was surprised.
Maan looked over at her calmly, smiling, and took hold of her hand as he said "Geet, we're getting remarried. We're renewing our vows, our promises to each other. We drifted apart in the past few days because of destiny, and I want you back. I still love you just as much, no MORE, than I used to when we got married. And I want us to be together again. Will you marry me again Geet?"
"Geet I want my Hoshiyaarpur express back who keeps on ranting! I want that Geet back who had the courage to call me Dusht danav in front of Dadima. Geet we were brought together by destiny but were tore apart by the world. I want us back to what we once were."
"Geet tum meri Patni ho aur aaj main tumhe tumse maangta hoon. Kya is Dusht Danav ka saath dogi?"
She had tears in her eyes by the end of Maan's words, and she was overwhelmed with happiness. She leaned to him slightly as she whispered, "Yes Maan. I would be honored to remarry you and restore our relationship. I love you so much."
And with that the two were remarried. They took their 7 pheres again, Maan reapplied the sindoor for Geet, and the two prayed to God that this time, they would stay together forever, not drift apart, and that their love remain intact.
They prayed and promised to each other that they will never drift away!
Geet said Maan lets go the Dargah! I want to thank the Malik! He gave me my most precious gift Back! Please Maan!
And how could he not listen to his Mishty's orders? Both left for the Dargah and prayed!
Geet had been blessed! Her Babaji had listened to her! He had given her Suhaag back to her!
