Nandini is not ready for commitment
The chirpy Nandini, Geet's sister, in STAR One's leading prime time show Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi, is confused about her feelings towards Dev. She still feels it is too soon for any relationship and love. Enjoying her friendship with Dev, Nandini gives us her take on matters of the heart.
Are you ready for a relationship right now?
Not now, considering what happened to my cousin Geet and the way my engagement broke. I really don't want to get into any relationship now.
Are you looking for love?
No. I feel you can't do such things on purpose - they just happen. You can't plan to fall in love or make someone fall in love with you. But I also believe that someone, somewhere, is made for you.
How do you think Dev is, as a person?
He is a really mature person, and knows how to handle situations. He is a good-natured man with a pure heart, who can read my emotions.
What do you think he feels for you?
He hasn't told me what he feels for me, so I have no clue regarding what is going on in his mind. But I know one thing for certain: that he never misbehaves with me. I really appreciate that he respects women a lot and is very chivalrous.
What are your views on marriage and relationships?
I know marriage is very important in every girl's life, but when I look at Geet's condition, I feel that marriage and relationships are not worth it. They simply cause a lot of pain and hardships.
How do you feel about your sister Geet's situation?
I feel very sad that my sister has had to go through so much in life. Her husband, Maan, is her life, but now, he has forgotten her due to amnesia. I can feel the pain she is going through. It must be tough for her, but she is being brave and handling this tough situation head on. Kudos to her.
How will you help her?
I wanted to take away from her hardships, but as I realised that it would depressed her further, I have decided to join her in office. This way, I can help her when needed, be engaged in work, and also be close to my brother Lucky. I am there for Geet, no matter what.
What is the meaning of love for you?
For me, love is to understand the feelings of each other, which I have seen in Geet and Maan's loving relationship. They can read each other's thoughts and complete each other's sentences. It is love when you know the other person inside out and still want to be with them.
What is the most important thing for you in love and friendship?
The most important thing in love and friendship for me it trust for each other. I feel I would never want someone I love or am friends with to break my trust and vice versa.
What are your feelings for Dev?
Dev is my well-wisher. At present, Dev is just a good friend, who is helping me with my admission for further studies. He knows me well, and is supportive. I have no idea how our friendship will grow in future.
