Lets take the first scene: Geet rushes to work in the clothes she had worn the previous day because she was worried about Maan's well being, having seen blood that morning. Maan was touched by her concern and ordered new clothes for her. He even picked the colour of the dress, which by the way was green, the colour he had first seen her at the office. Once she changed into the dress, he appreciated her and asked her not to refer to him as Sir but as just Maan. In other words, he gave her the right to treat him as an equal, not as her boss.
Going to the second incident which occurs when their relationship was strained. Geet was bringing coffee for Maan and got her dress dirty in the slush on the road. Maan orders her to change her clothes. She has nothing but the workman's overall which she changes into. Maan ends up buttoning it for her too although he admonishes her for changing in the display room lest she be spotted by someone. Soon after this we see a more confident Geet who decides that she will not put up with Maan's bossiness at the office. She joins forces with the other employees and makes sure Maan is put in place when the Chinese investors come to explore IP before finalising the deal. In other words, Geet decides to assert herself and take the right which Maan snatched from her.
Coming to yesterday's scene. Geet's dress got stained by that idiot Lucky who shoots his mouth off even after seeing Geet on the phone, trying to catch Maan's dictation meant for Pinky. Geet calls up dadi who sends her the dress. Soon after that she gets one more harsh talk by Maan who orders her to arrange a party for their client. Although the effect of the dress change may not be immediate, we may well see a transformation in Geet's approach to dealing with her hard nosed boss cum hubby very soon. She would be having Dadi's blessings I guess, going by the fact that Dadi was the one to send across the dress. And coincidently it was another green dress - the colour which has figured prominently both in their unions as well as break ups.
In short - dress change has always meant a change in the equation between Maan and Geet with Geet getting to be on a more equal footing, whether this is achieved by Maan's own willingness to grant her that right (as he did in the first dress change) or by Geet's own efforts, whether by force - as we saw in the IP track or by a combination of love and force as I suspect we will see in the current track.
