srividya and pathmini kolahpuri mother and daughter , nighbour raajkumar and kamalhasan father and son,, and kmal fall for srividya ,, pathmini for raajkumar .and they separate raajkumar saying , who will touch feet first after marriage , like he tocuh his sons feet as he is married to his wifes mom, or srividya touch her daughter feet as she is kamls mom now.., kamal srividya combination was great ..like kesar and gulal..and age diff...
