Was the Pammi from the beginning of the show a fake character to fool Geet's family? Was she really not Dev's mother, or did the actor suddenly change now?

Both Mom and son have underwent not only plastic surgery but also brain transplantation I guess. Thats why the demon has turned into a sadu sant and the cry baby ever guilty pammi who felt for Geet and refrained dev from even uttering a single word against Maan doesnt even seem to recognize geet and has turned cunning overnight. I really wonder if the changed CVs have even seen the initial episodes of Geet.
