The fountain scene is one of my favourites....everything about it is perfect...right from the ambience to the dialogues to the acting to the execution of the scene is spot on.

Thanks Swan. Yes, they lost more than just a baby in the MC. They lost the able to connect with each other. The fountain scene is also my favourite scene. As you said, everything is just perfect in that scene.

Thank you so much! What a beautiful and touchy analsis. The fountain scene has been one of my favourites since long, and it was really interesting to see it in comparison with Geet and Maan's current troubles. I agree with you, too, that Geet is still in the pain of her loss, she cannot think clearly or she would never question Maan's love or respect for her. She has seen him say too strong things in past when he is in gussa, but she can't think with control right now. So the way he carefully approached her then, so is he doing now, just being so patient to let time do its work so she can recognize her true love for him. Kya jodi hai! No wonder we are all loving them so much.

Yes, Geet is at present numb to everything including Maan's feelings for her. As you said time is the greatest healer. She is already missing him badly. She needs her head to accept what her heart already knows - her life is meaningless without her Maan.

Opti, as I read your interpretation, I am reminded of Medha. She also like you holds this water fountain scene as a very important one. To me, it was a beautifully executed scene and at most I noticed the water-fountain as water always binding them together, simply after Maan explicitly mentioned it. However, even in some previous instances, Medha has tried to connect this scene with high relevance in the story.

I loved your interpretation and read it 2 times over already. Needless to say, it is perfect.

Hopefully Geet will see this as clearly as Maan as already seen and we will get Maaneet again.

Just sheer brilliance. Loved it.

Thanks Priti.I had sent Medha the link to this post and mentioned what you said about this scene being cited by her as a significant one. This is what she said in reply.

"Then, Maan had asked her whether he should search for the culprit and bring him before her so that she could deliver justice. As you rightly pointed out, in order to pacify him lest he set out on an obsessive mission, she told him an untruth. She told him that those incidents were a part of her past, which she did not want to revisit, which she had left behind her a long time ago. Yet, despite this, Maan knew how important this issue was for her. And, it was reinforced forcefully when their first misunderstanding took place because she misunderstood that he was trying to assist the culprit and subvert the justice due to her.

As you rightly pointed out, at the fountain episode, she had told him that she wanted to start a new life, 'the unspoken 'with him' was there'. Now, just before Holi, she had tried to tell him that she wanted *them* to start a new life, a spoken *them*.

Then, she had voiced that she had left behind her past and *she* was about to start afresh. Yet, *she* had not been able to do so. Now, before Holi, she had voiced yet again that she has left behind her past (this she proves by forgiving Dev, for the sake of *them*) and wanted *them* to start afresh. Will *they* be able to do so? It will take Maaneet -- and not Maan or Geet -- for both of them to free themselves of the past that was Dev and truly start afresh."

Thanks hamavad. Yes, this is one of the best scenes in Geet both in terms of execution as well as content. I too hope the magic will be back soon although I do feel that once these two are on the same frame, there is definitely something for us.

Well that scene is priceless and one of the best executed scene of this whole series😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Opti what a wonderful interconnection of that scene with the present scenario where the issue is same in both cases...Geet's self-respect..only difference is that time MSK was well aware of this but in the current scenario because of his anger ,he forgot that past chapter of Geet's life and questioned her self-respect...MSK realsied it now and so he is trying to woo her back....Geet's realisation remains to b seen😳
