Today's episode was quite interesting, specially the dining table scene.
This is what I understand of MSK is that he has changed, or should I say, finally become his real self, but only in front of Geet. The hard exterior man he use potray to the world, he still continues to do so, and this is how he wants it to be always. There is no reason for him to change for the world. He wants Geet to understand that she can make fun of him as much as she wants, but only in private, not in public. There is no reason for him to joke around, be extra sweet in public or to the world. The way he behaves with others, its fine. But he can no longer behave the same with Geet for obvious reasons. MSK is different with everyone he interacts, with dadi, he always talks in respectful manner, with Annie, he is a strict and loving brother, with his staff, he is a strict but respectful boss, with his clients, he is a businesman, with his enemies, his evil self, and finally with Geet, he is the loving, protective, calm, mischievous person. Now the way he is with Geet, he wants no one else to know, not even dadi and Annie, let alone the rest of the world. He wants the world to know him the way he is with them, not the way he is with Geet. Geet is special and precious to him. What Geet did at dining table made him mad for 2 reasons, 1) all 3 ladies made fun of his changed behavior, which he wanted only Geet to feel and enjoy, 2) he was trying to have a private moment with Geet in public, which Geet openly made it a public thing. Geet let dadi and Annie know his romantic side, which he did not like and as expected, it invited ridicule. He has changed for Geet, but this is only something he wants to share with Geet.
What he said after cornering Geet was his anger. But what he says to Geet in the precap is the truth, which he wants Geet to understand and realize. It is not Geet's fault here, she is bubbly and sometimes immature, which is in her character. But Geet is marrying MSK, he has an image to maintain in the society. And she needs to understand where to draw line in how she deals with MSK in public. Today what she did in front of Dadi and Annie, if she starts talking about how MSK is a changed man to others in office....with Adi and pinky, it will invite ridicule to him. Its a different thing that others do realize that he has changed, but still they know that he has not changed with them, he has changed only with Geet. He is not a changed man for the world, and he never will be. He is a changed man only for Geet because he loves her way too deeply. He treats her as his own. It is only with her that he too feels like a free bird, just like how Geet feels with him. He wants Geet to realize that what they share in private is suppose to be private. Like MSK would never let anyone know the names he has given Geet. For him this is only between him and her. Basically MSK wants to keep all his masti, loving attitude, child-like attitude, only between him and Geet. He can do the same with Geet in public, but still no one else will understand or know about it (eg. dining table scene). Geet can be the way she wants in public. He does not want her to change or anything. But all he wants is what they share in private, which is only between both of them, should remain private. His changed behavior with her should only remain between both of them. Its not a topic to be discussed with the world, not even dadi. He wants Geet to understand properly that he is Maan only for her, while he is MSK for the world. She should never assume that he has changed for others, or he will behave differently with others. With others, he is the same old MSK, its is just with her that he takes the liberty to be her Maan, and he loves that feeling. This is an interesting point which cvs raised in today's episode, lets see how they execute it, which is where they always falter. MSK should not sound egoistic when he is trying to explain this to Geet. After dining table scene, he was angry, so he sounded egoistic, which is fine. But once he calms down, he should explain to Geet his POV and where she needs to be careful when dealing with the world regarding him. This is one more thing she needs to learn, which is perfectly fine. She has learnt a lot from her teacher, and continues to do so. Lets see how her teacher teaches this lesson to her. 😊 This time, he should teach her like he would teach his wife, not employee. I really hope cvs show Maan explaining his point to Geet in a mature way, not egoistic way.
