hi all, i know that its really cute how maan puts his blood on geet's forehead (the symbolism and meaningfulness is cute too)

but actually cutting yourself and putting blood on someones forehead is pretty nasty, imagine having someone else's blood on your face?..sorry could not help but think about this

do people actually do that in real life?im punjabi so we dont have the whole sindoor thing going, but im wondering if people do that?

thankss

hope ya'll dont take anything personally! :)

Chill yaar, it is the symbolism that counts, not the comparison with reality.
If u want to compare then can u show me any other example of a MSK in real life or a Geet too to speak of the least???

maan didnt do it on purpose... whislt listening to NT the witch... he was gettin pissed hence the tabeez kinda acted like a weapon in his hand(if u knw wat i mean😆)... and well we see it all the time ppl puttin blood instead of sindoor in movies ie fiction same thing here i guess😃.. but in reality zat will be gross but since its fiction i find it understandable since they need to create drama😆.... and i found the whole blood part kinda intriguing(alright i aint no freak but it was interesting instead of sindoor ..😆) but like i said its very common in bollywood movies😆

Say what? Since when do punjabis not put sindoor on?😕
I have both Hindu Punjabi and Sikh Punjabi family and friends and they both believe in putting Sindoor on.

Obviously people do not really use their own blood as sindoor, it's just for the symbolism as you already know because you mentioned it in your post. It wasn't 'gross' at all. It would've been 'gross and eww' if he physically took a knife and cut his hand to put sindoor on her. That's not what happened.

There's so much depth behind why he did what he did and I wish people would see that instead of being childish about it.

Blood is a popular substitute of vermilion (sindoor) in many films and TV shows because after all, blood is more readily available during the situations of neccesity...😆
Also the substitution with blood is expected to dramatise the situation and make the scene more romantic, thereby capturing the hearts of the viewers. 😆

Yes I do agree with you that it may sound gross .... but it is very honorable and very respectful and optimum sign of covenant and honor with other human being...
From olden times people used to make blood convenant... That means you give promise to protect the honor of a person whom you have made blood covenant with and always stand by him or her and fight their battle too and come at moments notice leaving your everything to aid that person.
Blood seem to have life and you are offering your life for the honor of that person. You are bound for life with that person...
That is maximum and uttermost promise given to Geet by Maan.. loved it immensely
