Maan woke up feeling empty and cold.. He had been up quite late and it was the afternoon sun that had finally awoke him now. It was stinging his face and he needed to get out of the room. His friend had always been the darkness. Pure darkness.

'Mahi' He called out.

No answer as usual, he knew she wouldn't be home but he tried like every afternoon. He walked into the kitchen and poured himself juice whilst listening to the answer machine.

'Maan Singh Khurana.. Meeting at 11am.. 11th September.. Don't be late..'

He skipped the rest.. He was waiting for one voice to come up on the machine.. A voice he hadn't heard, felt.. seen in 18 years. A voice that would bring joy upon his lips, that would have been music to his ears.

He wiped the tears upon his cheeks and walked into his study. He locked the door behind him. Walking over to the small door he opened it and walked into a walk in wardrobe.

He fell to his knees and cried out loud. Could his voice reach to its destination.. He couldn't ever forgive himself for his mistakes..

'GEET' He screamed..

Her photo's scattered on the floor, her portraits upon the wall.. her chunni.. the taaveez..the roses she loved.. everything..

'You can't leave me Geet.. Please.. Come Back once..!! Just this once.. Please..'

'I never told you.. I love you Geet'..

He carried on crying.. hoping she would hear him.. hoping she'd come back...

...
